  5. Hey guys, I have a problem with my banshee that runs great with no loose in power or bogging in flat dunes or pavement and pulls really good. However, when I ride on the dunes and trying to get uphill starting from the 1st gear to 2nd once I pull the 3rd or sometimes 2nd it looses all the power while im uphill and I need to downshift to 2nd and 1st for the banshee to hits its power. Sometimes it bogs when I downshift to the 1st and have to push the throttle really fast to have the power comes right to save me making the downhill hahaa. If I want it to pull its hardest power, I have to ride a little distance before the hill and try to make it hit the powerbond 1st, 2nd and then to 3rd gear and it goes fine uphill (all with WOT) but as soon as I take the throttle little bit off nooo all power will be lost and need to downshift. I tried my friend banshee that has T5 and it pulls and make its power in 1 sec and he can upshift when he is riding uphill unhill the 3rd gear but mine upshift in that situation will make it loose the power I need to downshift to 1st or 2nd to wake it up. Mods: Stock carbs and stock cylinder and piston (factory). 1 to 1 big K&N filter with factory airbox and lid. Pro-circuit pipes. V4 Reeds I have no idea about the size of jetting because the shop has put in all the mods. Elev: 2000-2300 ft Temp: 50-68 F Your help and advice will be highly appreciated.
  6. I have a 03 banshee with t3s on it air box mod, tors delete and im 335 elevation and usually ride in 60-90 degree weather. still has stock jets and i need to know what size jets i should use. THank you

I need some help folks, i just recently got my first banshee it is a 2004 and i recently had it rebuilt with weisco top and botom end, i have dual k&n air filters on it and toomey t5s already i plan on getting a after market cool head and domes and my swing arm extended +6" also a 15 or 16 tooth front sprocket But my questions are what size jets should i get and what are your thoughts about my set up
  8. I'm planning on getting some new carbs very soon, just not sure which size would be best? Current set up -stock jugs .020 -4mill - +4 timing -cool head not sure but believe 21cc domes Running 91 fuel (premium in Cali) -Vforce reeds -stock carbs -dual K&N open filters (no air box no outer wears) - boost bottle - a sticker or 2 to add hp I'm planning on sending jugs to HJR for a dune port soon as well and going .030 (since I already have the Pistons) I was thinking 33 or 35mm pwk, what do you guys think is better? -also who has the best price???? So far I believe F.A.S.T has the best price at $174.98 Thanks a head!
  9. Hey guys, I've been wondering how exactly how domes for Coolhead or any head that use changeable domes work. Such as like what cc number domes do what, what octane should be ran with what domes and how to even add octane to pump gas from a station??? Ik I'm frecking noob but hey everyone start somewhere right? If possible detailed answers and examples please, thanks to all!
  10. Ok so I have a 2000 banshee. Mods that I can get off the top of my head are...4mill, +4timing, Coolhead 17 or 18cc domes, v force reeds, boost bottle, toomey t5, r1000 clutch. .020 over Problem I had was I wanted to get rid of stock air box for pods, so i did and while I was at it I removed the coolant resivor, I'm pretty that Dosent affect any thing with the engine tho. so before I had removed the air box it ran really rich and would bog at low throttle and the moment I switched to pods the bike ran super lean and was hard to start with out giving it lots of throttle and when it would finally start no idle at all. So I took it to a local shop (Snuffy Raching) to get it rejetted, the guy told me that the compression was around 40 and other 90!!! I don't know if I'm right but can a banshee even start with that little compression??? So I'm thinking he's doing compression test wrong (tell me if I'm wrong tho) he's telling me also that the rings or pistons might be shot (with out even looking at them yet). So with that being said the bike before would (with air box) would bog at low rpm but would them take off fast and hard with power at higher rpm and now I take it to a shop for some rejetting and I now I might be needing a top end rebuild!?!? Do you guys think he trying to get more money out of me or what could have caused those issues??? Especially the super low compression(if it's even true)!!!??? This is my second banshee and my first time taking one to someone for repairs (because I don't like dealing with jetting) . NEED SOME GOOD SOLID ANSWERS PLEASE BEFORE HE DOSE SOMETHING THAT ISNT NEEDED!!!!
  11. I have a stock 2003 banshee , I have t5 pipes and that's it , I'm looking to start with my suspension Nd taking off all unneeded weight and things in my bike. Also how long to extend my swing arm ? I wanna go to the dunes and race ( nothing serious ) and also go trail riding on a dry lake bed and mountain side ? Also what brand suspension would you recommend ? I have already jetted my carbs , ? What's next I am on a budget of 2k not knowledgable to much so I would need step by step info. Also where could I buy a complete engine ??? And I heard about this tranny where you don't use the clutch to shift what ind is it and is it worth it ??
  12. Hey guys I have around 1000 $ , and I have a complete set of pipes (T5) and a pro flow kn airfilter. So should I buy the noss head and ,v force 4 reeds, a bigger radiator and a adjustable plate . Do you think that those mods will make a really big diff ?^
