  1. Yea, anywhere near Riverside is fine w me. I'm out there, have to drive to Riverside area anyways for most things. I'm near Coachella Valley and most people out here think that do things they can charge whatever they want the guy out here did not even protect threads nor mask. Kind of sad when you know more than most of the shops that do s*** these days
  2. Hey all, Happy New year so far I'm starting to look into getting my frame and A- arms powder coated. I'm in Southern California anybody use anybody that's reasonably priced? Not looking for anything fancy, just (straight Yamaha firecracker red) like my RZs. Changing the color scheme from blue and white to red and white Red's always faster .. LOL Thanks for any leads and price estimates
  3. Yea, I figured that, I can ramble on..no doubt! It's all good, I've been on some roadracing/ 2 stroke forums since the mid 90s ..It gets that way. You know the "whats the best oil " questions or" best pipe" questions. Always brings out the box o popcorn.🍿 Just looking forward to enjoying the hobby with others here.βœŒοΈπŸ‘
  4. Good point,..The 450s are generally better, but I'm old school..I just have to have a 2 stroke .. it's what makes me happy. For the life of me I cannot stand the way four stroke singles sound...there truly horrid to me. I'm perfectly happy with my Banshee, I just need to fine-tune it & work the bugs out. It was the first time I've ridden it, since it grenaded. The more I think about how it will run with a new clutch, the more impressed I am with it, and Shearer set me 100% at ease with his info. I now know, I'm going to be real close to the Cheetah our tuning numbers we're just too close to each other, it's definitely my clutch, after yesterday's rides it is clear as day it's barely functioning it's odd because the clutch was in good shape everything speced out. I'm going to look closer at the Driveline kit, that was mentioned above, He makes some nice RZ500 components. Okay okay how about we try & leave it at this... got pushed, pushed back, is what it is...nothing's gonna change my opinion of the dude, that's set in stone. With the person not entering my threads that should fix any problem we cause for others.... I didnt join here to stir up s*** I just won't be served any.....especially after practically my 1st post I recently lost my wife to cancer and just looking day-to-day and to share a hobby with other enthusiasts.. so that being said look forward to reading and participating with like minded folks. The positive results here have outweighed the negative as those whom wanted to help did, plus we scored a new set of Skat TracsπŸ‘ can't..complain! I"ve got floors to mop..ha ha ha. And even if that was the case that's nothing to be ashamed of for somebody. I helped out doing that in college and in grad school, all night work... hard work, I even painted houses...working hard and sacrifice pays dividends later. Don't ever let anybody slight you for whatever work you choose to do if you work you're respected.
  5. It's clearly obvious your biased, in your defense to him. So tell me... Why you feel it's okay for him to inject himself into this thread and not offer anything constructive ..just criticism, insults both professionally and personally,. So if you choose and play along and say....Oh that's just Nick ,...Zilla Freak you know how he is, he don't mean no harm, He's harsh ..but it's okay, we let him go get him away with insults and harrassment because some of us think, he's a good dude, he's one of "the boys" that's just who he is . Sorry I don't suscribe! He's not welcome in my posts. 1.) No he's a arrogant internet bully. 2.) He's done nothing but insite trouble. His reputation (Verified and Confirmed by others here.) 3.) He's been asked to( not reply to this thread, nor any other I ever post )..but he continues. 4.) My post was 100% answered and issues were solved with the help of other Members and Vendors here, when I have been most appreciative. 5.) And I am certainly not trying to be important under any circumstances if somebody had interpreted that way that is completely on them I came here for questions which were answered. don't understand where some of you are coming from ...where I'm from if you're pushed you push back... I am on the defense not the offense. 6.) What so hard to understand that my questions were answered and issues solved without unnecessary information it has input? seriously you know he wasn't going to offer anything constructive he was just here show is rank. Even the pipe builder laughed when I shared this story. 7.) When asked not to contribute now or ever to any of my posts he should oblige.. how could you possibly argue that? 8.) Sorry if you feel I'm railing against him, but it's there clear as day in print what he's doing and the childish insults he's levied. For some reason this seems like a schoolyard gang with the big kid (Zilla boy )wanting to push the new kid (me) around, when I stand up for myself everybody wants to pile on to protect the big guy.. because hes 'one of the boyz' Just sayin.
  6. Ain't gonna happen... dood. there is unequivocally no reason for you to know who did my port work if it's obvious you are non supportive . You inserted yourself into my thread with but no other intention to make yourself look important and be disruptive. Don't deny it you know you're that way so do others here Others May get on your side with your 12, 500 posts view as the matriarch of Banshee HQ, I just think you're a tool READ THIS ! I got all the help I needed from (other good members) here I didn't need any of your bullshit. You act like the Big Dog if Banshee HQ with your 12, 500 posts !! but IMO you are just a puppy on a keyboard . If this was the playground I'd send you away with a bloody nose trying to bully my ass around. Seriously you think you're the Wizard of Oz. And ......you are . Who the hell do you think you are man? Seriously Oh excuse me if I didn't know this is (Zilla freaks Banshee HQ). Noobs...lol That says what your all about! You're so arrogant, you only care if somebody doesn't listen to (you )you don't read the posts you don't listen either you don't see the fact that my problem (is fixed ) along with help from other good members here who contributed! you're outnumbered five to one. My questions are answered without your help I don't want nor need (your) help. What I'm supposed to take your singular advice over the advice of 2 engine builders one pipe Builder and three others here who recommended the same modifications I proposed all from first-hand experience.. I feel sorry for you ..you keep reiterating spelling and grammar errors (all in an effort to make yourself good). So tell me if this is (Zilla- Freaks Banshee HQ) website I'll gladly go elsewhere..lol Again am I alone in my thinking here why should I have to deal with insults and put-downs buy a f****** idiot who offered no help none, none whatsoever. (My help came from other members with good advice and great help.) Obviously his reputation is known, as others have commented his behavior (Zilla Freak) with his 12500 + posts. SO MODERATOR.. does the ZillaFreak own this site? IS THIS THIS ZILLA FREAKS BANSHEE HQ ? Do his 12500 + posts trump somebody with 2000,1000 or 100 posts
  7. Trade Answer: Yes Port work Answer: (You should read the posts) Previously stated I won't post the builder. Quite obvious I made the right choice , judging by the mean spirited responses, some of you are itching just to stir up shit and slander a good name. I'm not about that, nor willing to keep company with those whom would. ZillaFreak: With your 12,500 posts...lol I must, say your really your quite the dick. (Please don't ever respond nor reply to my posts again. ) Let's see if your honorable enough and man enough to do that. I don't care nor want your advice. So go F#ck with someone else's post. Seriously why don't you butt out, nothing you say in your posts is helpful, your only on here to act like you own the place.. Well do ya? Do ya own Banshee HQ, Big Dog ? Or are you just a puppy on the other side of a keyboard? Do you feel the need to make yourself look valid . If the Moderators and you have some special relationship and think your playground antics are funny, cute, That's a clear indication that this site is not a forum to be a member of. Why should I have to deal with your bullshit ..Unless of course this is (Zilla Freaks Banshee HQ). Then I don't wish to partake . I've had some good responses here and , and very generous help from (truly helpful ) members !. Even offers to come to my home. I could do this easily without this forum, but I thought I'd seek out like minded enthusiasts here to share a hobby. But some are just detrimental, for the soul reason of just being detrimental ..That's a shame. Am I alone in my thinking? Or do we have to deal with multiple stupid, inflammatory posts here to get some good ones? Really..why should we have to have a guy like this polluting good threads? Could a moderator answer that?
  8. No I'm well aware if what he can do. I do my research and homework best I can πŸ™„ I specifically wanted stock cylinders on this. You are correct in the opinion, mine too that the Serval is the optimum choice in these bikes for a bike that can deliver Earth pounding torque down low and where it's needed in the mid-range. Frankly it's total overkill for me, I cannot handle that ..way too much power for me at my age in the dirt.. I'm thinking of a Serval based setup in my RZ350 track bike. Tony from TDR here is a long collaborator on the RZ big bores, he's currently fielding a team of RZ 350 s in 421cc & 443cc in his racebikes. And another gentleman I"ve spoken to is a multi time Regional and National Champion running Cheetah cylinders. But I'm kind of hell bent on keeping my power valves so a 4 mil on stock cylinders is my limit a 7 mil with YPVS cylinders is doable but very difficult and reliability is very questionable. The SERVAL is the most practical solution ! As it delivers mid-range where is a Cheetah has a huge gaping hole in the power Band.. cheetah in my opinion you're asking for some vicious (Send me to the Moon) High sides... As the Power Band is light switch you can double your horsepower and 1500 RPMs. On the Banshee though if I get bored with this (not likley) It will definitely be a Serval.
  9. Oh it's HEAVY alright . I had 6 gallons of fuel in her too. 36 lbs fuel load! πŸ™„ That totals over 40lbs of fluids..YIKES. plus I'm carrying a fairly large battery in the nose . I see I can drop 30 lbs maybye 40. Thanks for your time, and hanging in thereπŸ‘ Point taken and I'm well aware of it. I work in a field where every single possible ounce of information needs to be known hence my propensity, for novelas..lol *Frankly.. I'll try to keep things more direct but don't be surprised if I sonetimes fail in that regard...lol To those that find long posts irritating and can't stomach listening to another... Simplest Solution Ever ! Just don't read them. It's like watching Fox News or CNN why let yourself get pissed off. just walk away. What's Windycityjohn? And why would anything be deleted? Unless someone posted something negative or against forum rules. From what I've read, I think all here have kept it pretty civil.
  10. Dude dude dude? Did it ever occur to you that I contacted Redline? They possibly could have built my motor.. there were three equally good builders on my shortlist. Your comments regarding ignorance and cluelessness frankly are unwelcoming and unappreciated. If you were just talking s***that's cool ✌️sometimes it doesn't translate that way...πŸ˜‰ Its clearly stated several tines exactly what I am going after. NOT a "dedicated" drag bike..just a convertible bike to good off with my friends. I know enough about motors racing and machines, to get me 80% of the way through most of my projects the other 20% I leave for the experts, their help is invaluable! I was just asking for basic advice/ pointers to reinforce/confirm my thoughts of what I needed to do. Seriously if after installing a new clutch changing my domes, pipes, gearing if I cannot pick up 4 bike lengths with that I'll be a monkey's uncle! Hell.... I might even be there after just doing the clutch! There is no need for me to spend money to have my thought out motor built twice when it is a versatile motor with minor changes for what I want out of it when I go with my friends to drag race amongst each other. It is no different than taking my street cars or street bikes to the drags and setting them up appropriately and then changing them back.... same principle ....same resultsπŸ‘ I'm totally confident as are others that I will easily get where I want to be with this.. it's almost a no-brainer. Again thanks to those who contributed with realistic answers and tips and thank you! for the Hauler Extremes (You Know Who You Are) they are most appreciated.!
  11. Lol, you don't bring a knife to a gunfight, no matter how bad ass it is.πŸ˜‰ Like I said.."dedicated" drag bikes are in a class of their own. I don't think I've ever watched a drag Banshee seriously race anything else but another ...drag Banshee.. I can confirm that! His was kinda a rat bike...but the motor combo was tight..it's impressive. Easily hands down the most powerful quad ever built.."in stock form" you have to have a well built 4mil Banshee to equal one, and a ported 4mul to beat one. Not even open to debate. I live that thing.. if it wasn't such a mutha fuc#er to start I'd love to have one... It certainly is a man's quad not saying that I couldn't eventually kick it over but it is quite an brutal exercise. I was just reading some posts about the Quadzilla is here on this site many people sold them because they just can't start them...lol I don't know why they didn't do a compression release?
  12. Thanks for the input! Yea the tq. Is where it's at on the Zilla they certainly define "beast". The stator was a 200 watt Ricky..but it had a issue, to temp go back to stock, until I buy a new one. Adding a 200Β° LED race lamp soon. 1.) I can bump my setup with interchangable domes (Chariot Head) domes are spec custom. He'll make me seriously for More gusto if I want it . 2.) Already have the 33PWKs. 3.) Will go 13 front. Most bang for the buck and swap back as soon as I am done. 4.) Definitely the Shearers.. especially since they are so versatile. 5.) I have 8 paddle Skat tack Gliders right now..so Haulers, or are a good recomendation. , Thanks 6.) OH YES! a HD clutch. Any advice as to a particular brand...I need a fairly easy pull as my hands cramp easily. Arm pump...dammit. I'll go hydraulic clutch if necessary. Thanks for the first hand information and no internet BSπŸ‘ Like you ...I think I'll be right in the mix
  13. Just a lil 411 for ya...as far as the modified 250R is concerned. He's never lost a drag race vs any Banshees he's raced in almost 5 years. Mind you he doesn't race "full on drag "Banshees and he really doesn't drag race only, he's a duner guy. That's what makes his bike so fun, he's bruised alot of egos He's spent over $ 7.000 on a full BDT engine along with extensive port work from Rob Selvy and several pipes built by Kenny Roberts to acheive the performance level it's at. He was told by Selvy that it is likely one of the most powerful three-wheeler motors he has ever built , for Mr.. Selvy to say that is quite a statement. Keep in mind that's on a 38 year old 3 wheeler. As for the QyadZilla. We were all pretty surprised. Obviously , we all know it's common knowledge that a single cylinder Quad Zilla has substantially more torque than a Banshee to start with. This particular one apparently takes it to another level @ 555 cc w Portwork and then exhaust pipe that is the size of a fire hydrant.. I suppose that old saying no replacement for displacement applies cuz it's fast and it's the first time he's ever ridden it... Which was so funny. you have to keep in mind that these are bikes that are rideable..not dedicated single use drag port bikes ... Those drag bikes are just in a totally different realm of existence and speed. You might want to research the difference between a MX /trailport stock cylinder 4 mil and a drag ported 4 mil or Cub cylinder, Athena etcetera. For my bike to lay down HP and TQ figures like it does .....it's no slouch it's certainly not at the level of a CPI Serval or the faster Cheetah setups. But it's pretty darn quick faster than I'm capable of riding .... Especially at my age you don't crash and walk away. It's all good though it's just good fun. Taking a 60 mile ride today with some friends, thank goodness they have race fuel stored in cabins! The way this thing sucks gas w 33s I'd never make it. I should have stuck with my instincts and utilized the 26mm carbs as the fuel mileage is almost double that versus larger PWKs. There's a good reason you don't see many desert racing Banshees with big carbs. Lol πŸ˜‚
  14. My friend is building a bike for his son, I kinda committed to giving him the P.T.s He's always wanted a set and since there not made anymore..he seemed pretty committed? If he decides different, you will be the person I contact. The 3rd set are hammered from desert races, the Toomeys I want to keep, I have small expansion chamber collection of pipe sets for RDs,/RZs,Kawi Triples, old bikes in general Bassani,DG,Toomey,Moto Carrera,FFPs etc.. wall decorations..there like cheap art to me..but not for sale. Thanks for your, input and welcoming. I think you offered advice when my motor blew or the shift shaft was moving. Thanks againπŸ‘
  15. No worries amingoπŸ‘ This is a fairly aggressive MX port. I spoke with the builder and Shearer regarding this. The two are familiar with each other. For what I want, I'm told it will work exactly as I want with what I have. only minor jetting changes. When I bought the bike I got all the previous owners pipes . I have a set of 1.) Paul Turner mid range. 2.) Toomey T-5 and another I forgot ..might be a Pro Circuit ? The Toomeys are a resonably high rev pipe, I'll play around with them with roll ons around my house with some friends, I already know there better for drag racing than the FMF Fatties I have on it, so a set of SBIF ..will be just the ticket. While my engine is not a dedicated drag motor it makes enough tourqe. All I need is my 4 bikes.. just for the month of November, so I can expect my bike to be as fast I can get it as it's (currently configured) ..that's all I'm after next. I can convert over in a afternoon. What could go wrong ...I'm an engineer by trade ...lol NO comnentsπŸ€£πŸ™„πŸ˜¬
  16. Hey thanks all for the replies that actually pertained to my question..it's fairly simple, not rocket scienceπŸ˜‰. I'm totally not interested in reconfiguring to motor. It's really strong as aggesive MX /Trail bike..and kinda does it all within reason. For me it's perfect I can make adjustments... I have the technology!!! My questions were kinda specific. Regarding gearing, pipes and tires. After 20+ posts there's no real help here except for a couple. I'm just going to stick with what I know..I'll buy a Xtra set of Shearer drag pipes as they 100% are designed to work on a wide range of +4 etc..bikes,regardless of average setup changes. This I confirmed with the man in the know. One specific I had with the builder I said make it the fastest Trail MX bikes bordering on the edge of being usable where I need it. I think pushing 70 horsepower and 40 lb of torque is as much as I could ask for frankly I was kind of surprised I expected this to be in the high 50s low 60s. This I knew already but was looking for reinforecment..lol. Gearing I'll do a equivelant to a 13 front with new sprockets,/chain set , I'll swap em out just for the match up..lol Paddles...I received no input..so I think I will stay with these 20" 8 paddles...on a stock length swingarm. The way this bike is set up, while not optimal, it's very hard to wheelie which is good.. its jumps and lands pretty damn good... but I don't have anything but my friends bikes to judge it by and each of those bikes are totally different from mine. The bikes is WAY faster than it was before it's not even close. it's a handful to hold onto its second and third especially going over slight jumps oh yeahIt's exactly what I wanted, I'll do the above changes and that will gain me a few bikes or more, combined with my new clutch I feel I'll be in the mix. I'm close already..and I can ride my quad anywhere as is, if I chan ge my porting/Swingarm length etc.. I'll turn it into something I can't enjoy for my primary riding style. Next I talked about this motor I will have all the information as far as Port timing sqish ,dome et cetera.. Thanks again, to those whom helped and meant well. πŸ‘
  17. That would be, a Google text error, It's in referance to having a all stock factory length swing arm. Also it's common knowledge a stock LT500 Quadzilla is faster than a stock Banshee, it certainly would not not quicker than a well tuned 4mm Banshee ..such as mineπŸ˜‰πŸ˜ Although..my old friend brought this Quadzilla to the gunfight and that yellow thing is a beast.. all things being equal. .lol He told the guy to make his bike as fast as a Chettah powered Banshee, well Dr Q apparantly delivered. That bike Bitch slapped 2 dozen challengers on Banshees (There were NO drag Banshees there)and two really fast turbo/nitrous UTVs that easily beat all the quads, guy even had his wife n kid sitting in cab with him.... laughing their asses off. I've never been around a QuadZilla...well I can now attest to the fact there darned strong machine...no doubt. Just the fact that once he's out on me, I didn't lose ground, but appeared to be catching him around 5-6gear? Im still happy w my bike.. it's the Banshee I've always wanted. We won't know till November. Till we each work the bugs out if our bikes, but being at a 115 cc disadvantage riding a desert racer vs a rocket..I wouldn't be surprised if the results are the same, however it's my friends 400cc Chettah I'm interested in equalling or beating... he's the guy with the target on his back...lol
  18. When I bought this Banshee it's the first place I rode to I live about 5 minutes from there at a good fast clip. That's when the bike blew up...lol 4 months ago. I have not been to Johnson Valley but I'm looking forward to it all my new friends up here are all 2 wheel dirtbike guy and girls w vintage bikes... but they said if I buy beer they'll let me ride with them.... haha I need practice and safety gear I've been off performance dirtbikes for a long time
  19. No Dood. You read that incorrectly .😰 The Quadzilla was the 1st time he's ridden it ,he installed the carb and new throttle right there on the beach, then bought a set of paddles if a 250R so he could ride it. Lol It's no drag bike, but it was the fastest quad there over a 4 day period. Heres what I know 1.) Said to be 555cc stroker/bigbore (unconfirmed) it's never been opened he just bought it. 2 ) Brand new Dr Q pipe. 3.) Brand new Dr Q pistion and top end custom I ringed head. (He doesn't know his specs either. .lol) 4 ) If I remember correctly it's a 41mm Lectron That's all I know, other than it's fun as fuck ..it's like a hydro in water ready to take flight...wheelies at will.
  20. No Dood. You read that incorrectly .😰 The Quadzilla was the 1st time he's ridden it ,he installed the carb and new throttle right there on the beach, then bought a set of paddles if a 250R so he could ride it. 21. Yeah yeah... I know my posts are long and they're not for the faint of heart.πŸ‘ Definitely if you don't have patience, it's best to not read them πŸ˜‚
  22. Alrighty then, I see where this is going...lol. In not seeking a dedicated drag bike I thought I was clear about that...lol I built the bike I want, and it's close to delivering what we talked about..just need a little more (read below) "learn how to spell"...lol what a dudeπŸ‘ Nut sack buster, you are. You try typing this little f****** screen with big fingers and no glasses lol🀣 Keep it coming.. every forum needs the equivalent of the wild eyed drunk dude talking shit & throwing Haymakers.. sounds like that's youπŸ‘ it's all good. Thanks for the gearing, lesson , while not the best example I provided I appreciate a constructive response. I will start researching that. As far as the pipes go, I spoke with them, their pipes in question are all (premade stamped)..designed to target a vast range of engine builds, of which my build certainly falls under. Again.. I agree a spec built motor, requires sectional coned pipes..Just like a competitive roadracer , different pipes for different tracks. My Banshee is crude by comparison. It's better setup than OEM but still not an dedicated spec designed blueprinted engine. No such thing as a stupid question..We all learned this stuff from others before us..all of us. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this motor setup, "1 billion Chinamen can't be wrong"..is the saying..that why I subbed out the builder, I knew I'd be happy. Like I mentioned, the bike is strong & keeps pace when just riding, in roll ons I shoot out ahead.. I do have more power out of corners available to me than their bikes do, and FU#K can this thing jump! they unfortunately cannot really go aggessive MX or trail riding they have swingarms that are too long.. The Quad Zilla is all stock, he wants to extend the swingarm, I'm trying to get him to leave it ...stock,!! It's a massive chunk of Aluminum, a thing of beauty .. I wanted a bike that can do it all, (which I know it is is) I shouldn't be surprised. It's just.after drag racing them and seeing hiw my Banshee accelerated..i feel I'm close..really close....lol which us addictive as I just want this ,4 bike lengths I feel I lost to gearing and motor and weight.. honestly I am happy with the way it is but it would be fun to be neck-and-neck with the guys. as I know them they will go out and drop $3, 000 into their Motors just so that it could be quicker that's the fun of it,!! I've always been the underdog and actually relish that The builder assured me I'd lay waste to any drag port engine on trails or a MX track... After riding it, I have have utter confidence in the shop πŸ™„πŸ˜ I do my research regarding shops and individuals I hadH Harry Klemm build my 350cc Tri Z , and recomebded Rob Selvy to build all my friends engines including a 1 off 380cc Kawasaki Tecate , Jason Hall for my other friends bike, I feel I made sone good choices for us. On my old RZ350s, I never had my port specs...just average Spec2 porting or Tooney ported cylinders on my bike1st RZs wayyy back in 86. I've won many roadaces and drag races in those motors (Yes I totally agree) it's better to have it all optimized in most cases, but ...One can get by with old school blunt hammers...lol My race RZs produced 68-72 h.p. on YPVS cylinders, and @ dragstrips I was able to acheive 11:40 in the 1/4 mile in YPVS cylinders on a daily rider RZ my street FZRs and GSXRs were all high 9s streetbikes,so in the 80s a lil 347cc 2 stoke in the mid 11s was pretty respectable.. Now I could easily get into the 10s with a RZ350 with CPI cylinders, lockups and programmable ignition etc. ... With my Banshee running so rich, and my clutch virtually useless, I know there's room for substantial improvement,( I know it's not a drag motor)...duh I could have paid the guy ro build be a 80+ h.p. stock cylinder machine.. easily. But like I said we can race anything, we all do..it ain't about trophys .it's just fun and ribbing w friends I've been around various race bikes my entire life, I'm confident .."not cocky"..that with the changes I stated, I will be right there with them. Again we're not doing official sand drags..just simple inpromptu drag races. All I need is around 4 bikes..I'm pretty sure I can acheive that😁 I think the clutch letting loose made it impossible for me to even try. But the first several runs, were reasonable for me to now evaluate in my head. I'll let you all know in November, win lose or draw...it's all good fun! Also Kawa110. While not exactly local, had the bike to Santa Fe Springs to have it tuned, he's great no bullshit, no bad mouthing other builders...(that's one thing I don't tolerate) he just gets it done. While not the builder, he did exactly what he thought best..As it's a new 3k motor and tranny rebuild , it was detuned a little for safety at sea level from that inital figure I posted above. I'm in the Mohave Desert so anywhere in So.Cal is as local as it gets...lol Thanks guys,
  23. Yeah I understand where you guys coming from the Builder did MX/ hardcore port job. he said I would have more power than I would know what to do with on a trail and he is totally right it is far beyond my capability to ride at its limit or even close to it, it is a arm yanker once it gets going..out side of the drags..my bike seemed to run right with them, she hurs pretty hard in 2-3. But my clutch said adios amigo, so I didn't get a chance to make adjustments it evaluate. I had my bike tuned here in So. Cal . I said to get my bike safely as I live at 3200 feet but I was going to be at sea level on a fresh engine my bike dynoed at 66. 5 horsepower but 40 lb of torque. My friends stock stroke cheetah makes 70 and I'm assuming a lot of torque likely in the mid-40s 250R Big Bore made 67 h.p. last year at CT but I realize his bike is far lighter. The Quadzilla nobody knows you just bought it so he could beat his brother on the 3-wheeler he wasn't quite there but close The Builder totally did what he said he would and what I wanted however he did say he could easily get me 10 more horsepower but it would involve different pipes, and more aggressive Port work, along with 35 PWKs he likes but said it would definitely be not as responsive on trails and I would have a lot more shifting to deal with. He advised me trail riding a drag ported banshee is just a bummer and steered me to a MX Port job. My bike is also pretty heavy caring 6 gallons of fuel 9in lights and brackets and when on desert tires run brutally heavy run-flats... I really like it it is really fast but I would like that little extra Edge next time just to see if I could squeak in there I can already run side-by-side the low gears maybe even faster but it sure would be fun on the straightaways if I could at least run even or close enough. My clutch is pretty gone it's the one thing I did not replace it looked good to me so I chose to stay with it. I abused it and obviously made a mistake LOL. I think I will just do gearing clean up the carburation and try that if a set a Shearers comes along at a decent price I will try them having owned RZ350s in every incarnation for 30 years I know a good exhaust pipe can give me t 3-4 bike lengths in a drag race.. but that's on a track or a drag strip I am totally unfamiliar with sand outside of my tri Z it's the only dirt thing I've owned & ridden in many years.
  24. Oh come in dudes...don't be all upitty with yourselves Can't correct my Typos, There's no provision on my screen, seem to have format /smartphone issues. Any advice here is welcomed ...or do I need to disassemble and spec my phone too..😊😁 Why start off with the such comments ? Kinda narrsasistic and nit very helpful. Why not say welcome to the forum & hello and your opinion as to what the specific questions I had. It's clearly obvious that it's not a "dedicated" drag bike, you can drag race anything..and we all do that no matter what we ride, all of us...lol. right. Throw me a bone πŸ‘ not a problem. I'm just having fun with friends. No lights , no set 1/8 or 1/4 mile mile,no timing..just old friends doin what we do . So you tell me a set of Matt Shearers "stamped" one size FITS ALL small bores, is dependant upon my squish,intake/transfer and exhuast dimensions...yea right...not likley, they use these pipes in Banshees from stock up to 450+ CPIs with every imaginable configuration, all with good results. Id ubderstand if U were utiluzing spec built one off coned sectionals. Sure...then that would help . But for average basic gains for a dude who wants to drag race is "trail" bike. Lol πŸ˜‚ I'm betting they work and will help considerably, then I can swap back to my FMFs for trail bombing...just wanted some feedback Same goes for gearing, from stock to Cheetahs...you don't "need" these numbers. You don't need them at all for a play bike. As for the gearing. I just wanted a difinitive explanation as to why a 15 -43 is better than a 14-41 when there exactly the same mathematical ratio. This I'd like to know if there is a factual reason. The motor was built by a vendor here whom everyone knows and seems to respect, there's no mismatch ... I can get the info, and will..but it's 100% not required. And No I won't post the builder..I'm happy , but would like some help maximizing it's "limited" drag potential . That's all. So still welcoming constructive replies, and as for the 1st 2 replies. You can still grab beers 🍺 from my cooler.. just give me something to work with..it's basic.
