  1. How do you find out if your crank seals are weak?
  2. LOL! I still have to dood, been wrenchin on it the past few weeks so I just keep it off until I get it running straight
  3. Selling my pipes, found a killer deal on some shearers. Headers are in great shape, chrome, silencers need some tlc, they are a little loose. 350 obo, you take care of the [/
  4. Ive got an extra set of these that I dont need if your looking to buy. Just Pm me
  5. Yeah Im gunna drain the gas and switch back to 32:1 like I was before and see how it runs and Tune from there. I live in davison right now actually.. Between richfield and coldwater on M15.. Some parts of flint are actually not that bad, Flint township is nice I actually just closed on a house there. The water crisis, is a real shame though. And the inner city is just straight hood. I work at the County Detention center for Juveniles so I get to witness the products of that environment first hand.
  6. Update.. Used a new compression Tester (better quality) and got 125 PSI reading in both cylinders on a cold motor. Yay for no new top end replacement..
  7. He said (not JD, the guy after him) that he rebuilt it sometime in 2015
  8. Chris I read through that whole thing on duncans website the other night.. was really eye opening
  9. Yeah, I thought 90 psi was low. That was after 15 kicks too
  10. Brand new gas.. Unless Sunoco is pumping old gas out
  11. Here's what the plugs looked like the other day when I pulled them out.. Temperature outside was 24 degrees different if that matters. 66 today when I ran it, 90 last Sunday here
  12. Also both pipes heated up to the same temperature this time after I put new plugs in.
  13. Update.. Checked compression.. 90ish psi in both cylinders (did 3 tests on each cylinder) couldn't check the coil because I don't have a fly wheel puller but i pulled the plugs out and kicked it over with them on the head and they are both sparking.. Put in new plugs and ran much better. Still a little hesitation but def pulling better on the band. I turned the air screws out a half turn but no needle adjustment yet. Here are my old plugs.. They were wet pulling them out and still blowing oil out the back..
  14. e I wanna make sure I rule out everything else though before I start changing things in the carbs like JD and the above article suggested.
  15. Chris, my bike is shooting oil out of the back like this article talked about.. Infact yesterday when i was letting it idle, it left a bird shot of oil on the ground and the back of my swing arm after revving it a few times.
  16. That too, sorry didnt mean to leave that out, was not dismissing what you suggested, much appreciated. Ill be back with updates within the next day
  17. Okay that makes more sense. Thank you for explaining. So basically if this is actually what my problem is coming from, sounds to me like I just wasted 5 gallons of gas and should have just kept it at 32:1 like a good boy
  18. Can you help me understand a little better how that would require rejetting please. So does that mean that the more oil I put in the premix, the motor is going to run more lean? That sounds backwards to me, but I am limited in knowledge so thats why I posted here.
  19. Yes sir, he ran it with 93. I drained all the old gas that was out of it and put new gas in it.. The previous owner was running it 32:1 and the plugs looked pretty dark so I ran it 40:1 and the plugs are still looking the same. Im gunna have to wait and post pics of the plugs later tonight or in the morning.
  20. Quick update. I went to check the compression today but didnt have time to take the tank off and check the coil because I had to leave for work early, but I did check the plug caps, made sure they were real tight and then let it idle for a bit. It did idle but not that strong AND the left side is not getting nearly as hot as the right. I could keep my hand on the pipe without it burning my hand but couldnt keep my hand on the right pipe because it was too hot. Left side was sputtering during idle as well.
  21. Your the man JD. thanks for the input, ill report back once I check all those things. Sounds like its nothing major.
  22. Idk if this has anything to do with it, idk why it would, but before this started happening (sputtering and not pulling like it should on the power band) I was in the trails about 3 miles from my house and the silencer came loose from the header and fell off, so I had to ride all the way back to the house with the silencer off the header. After I put it back on is when this issue popped up.
  23. I cannot comment on that.. I just got a few weeks ago. This was my third time riding it, it seemed to run well the previous 2 times I ran it. It had been sitting for the past year though according to the guy that I bought it from. But the issues that are new that I stated above ^ just started yesterday.
  24. The only thing that was sudden was, not pulling like it should on the powerband, which is obviously my biggest concern. Everything else (plugs, not starting well after fully warmed up) is not new.
