  1. Just an aftermarket filter inside the standard air box. Lid is just off in the video. The water I hit covered the full quad and myself right up to my face, that's from splashing,I was not driving through the sea up to my head lol, there was mud and water in the airbox so I'm presuming it sucked up water and grit. All fixed now and going 100% again like it was before
  2. Thanks for the advice everyone. Got it built back up tonight after trying all of the above. Not sure on exactly what the problem was but I think dirt/water/grit got into the carb and made the cable/slide stick a bit or something, one was very dirty around the spring when I opened them. Going perfect again though and I will be avoiding the major puddles for now lol. Thanks
  3. Thanks will try everything above. Although the fact that I'm in Ireland means it's night time now so it will be tomorrow before I get to it,hopefully that doesn't effect anything although water lying in it couldn't be good for it. Would the stator explain the way it almost revs fully on the slightest bit of throttle? Or would that relate more to the carb part?
  4. Hi,just looking a bit of advice on where to look to solve this problem Took the banshee out there and hit what I thought was a small puddle, next thing I drank half the puddle and wore half the mud. Not 100% sure on whether the problem was there before or not as I had only just went out but I noticed at first that it seemed as thought the throttle was randomly sticking. Next I noticed what was actually happening was that when I even slightly touched the throttle, usually where you would find a bit of slack before power would engage, that the bike is revving fully at that point and sounds very raw. I then noticed it no longer idles and just bogs out. Then after bringing it back to the house I noticed it was back firing ever so slightly and would throw a flame from the right hand exhaust sometimes whilst also smoking a lot less from the same side. I have a short video to try show it a bit better (and no it isn't mixed wrong blue smoke wise and at that point of throttle normally you'd get nothing/very slight acceleration) Anyone any ideas where I should be looking first or even what it could be? Thanks
  5. Hi, So yesterday I was out riding the banshee It was fine all day then suddenly it got stuck in what I think was 2-3 gear, all I could do was shift up to third and down to second again. I took it back to the house and still had the problem. When I pushed to lever down as if to go to first it felt as though it just wasn't going far enough, but it was also staying stuck down instead of popping back up (the lever) Couldn't get neutral at all,and if I rocked the quad back a bit it would pop up to 2nd gear again. After a while of trying it suddenly got gears again and was working 100% with no problems. I let a mate have a go on it and he stalled it across the field and was trying to start it in gear with the clutch pulled,I know it works but could it have caused this? Anyone any suggestions of what it could be? I'm going to give it a gear oil change anyway but would this be signs of the box starting to go? I've also noticed sometimes when you accelerate hard a bit of a clunk from the rear area, could this have been related? Thanks
