  1. Yeah that's what I figured but am some what new to 4 wheelers so was not 100% so thanks for you knowledge.
  2. Yeah I know but its best to get more opinions then getting it wrong and then not knowing what it is, then end up on here asking the same thing anyways.
  3. Thanks for the answers I will try all ideas that I have not tried already and let you know what it is.
  4. LOL I got more replies on this silly question then actual things I needed help with. I want it to be for quarter miles and I have close to 10k but I'm not going to completely drag it out. I'm not trying to have the fastest banshee in the world or anything, just some thing to win with. But I am only worried about the engine right now, its the first thing on the list.
  5. How much do you think it will cost to rebuild top and bottom at a shop to make my engine beast? I don't have any clue that's why I ask.
  6. When I take the gas tank out ( with the petcock closed ) and let the gas that is in the hose drain out till nothing comes out any more, then set it down to work on a crab problem I'm having, it ends up leaking more and more as it is sitting on the floor. So first that is a leak correct, meaning its not supposed to do that? Second and this is sort of off topic, but that could be filling up my carb bowls when sitting turned off right? Let me know what you think.
  7. I also have notice that when I take the gas tank off and let the gas that is in the line drain out ( with the petcock closed) and the set it down, a couple of minutes later there is a leak coming from the hose on the gas tank, even with the petcock closed. Could it be leaking into the carbs after I have turned everything off. Because I noticed that when I take the carbs out and put them back after I am done, with no gas in the carbs or in the tubes and start it up it has no leaking coming out of the over flow tubes. It only comes out after I turn it off and wait a few minutes.
  8. Yeah when I synced the carbs I made sure the slides were slapping back down but I will try what you guys have suggested and let you know.
  9. Ok so I press the throttle lightly and it revs a little, then I press it a little more and it revs high and loud and stays like that anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 seconds with out going down. I have adjusted the throttle cable down and up and I go too low it turns off if I go to high it only makes it worse, I can't seem to find a inbetween point. So do I have to adjust the crappy tors, or is it something else?
  10. Yeah I am going to get a rebuild kit but as far as all that other stuff I already did and it all seems fine except the tip of the needle I didn't really pay attention as to whether it was hard or more of a rubber feel.
  11. Where did you get the tires on your banshee?
  12. Oh yeah that makes since. I will try that and give the results. But if not have any other ideas.
  13. No I didn't try tapping it with a screw driver. I never thought of that. What would that do exactly? Yes I cleaned the needle and seat and the needle is fine no damage or anything.
  14. Ok I have a 2001 banshee and it was leaking from the over flow tubes on both carbs. I took both off cleaned them, made sure there was no grime on any thing adjusted, both floats to the proper levels and put them back on. The left carb was fixed wit the float adjustment but the right keeps on leaking. Both fuel screws are all the way in there and the float is perfectly set. It only seems to start leaking after I've ran it and then turned it off, not while it is running. What else could it be?
