  1. ok if that's the idle screw how do I synch the slides?
  2. idle screws..... Are they the big screw on the top of the TORS units on the carbs? I was playing with those to get the carbs synched. When I screw them either way you can see the slides moving. I just thought they were for synch/slide adjustment. Perhaps some instruction on proper TORS adjustment would be in order... I will unplug it from the harness.
  3. I unhooked the TORS box and took out the plunger switch out of the emergency brake lever. Now the bike will rev, HOWEVER when I manually push the plunger with my finger it revs really high. It acts like it is the throttle. Very odd.... Whats the problem?
  4. Thanks uman!! I will go do that now!
  5. is the TORS box beside the coil under the fuel tank? where do I undo the park brake at? on the harness? these might be dumb questions but I have little banshee experience
  6. Long story short I bought this 06 Banshee in pieces. The motor was in a bucket in pieces and total garbage. I bought a high performance engine and I put it all back together. It will fire up and idle, but as soon as I give it a 1/16th of an inch throttle it dies. Doesn't bog down and die, its like the coil was grounded out. I am not familiar with the TORS system but am pretty sure it is my problem. Anybody agree? What the heck do I do now? What is my fix? if it is any help at all I also noticed the brake light comes on briefly before it dies. Any chance I could have some connections on my wiring harness mixed up? It is a factory harness so I doubt that's likely...they kind of idiot proof that stuff so it can only go back together one way. Since I am in the mod section has anybody ever heard of Rockets in Quebec Canada? The jugs on this motor I got are blue and have ROCKETS scribed on them with a star or something... They do port jobs on 2 stroke jugs. The guy I bought it off of made a big deal out of them but I honestly have no clue. I just paid his asking price for the motor and left haha
  7. why do you suggest dropping the clip one position?
  8. Noob mistake haha. They are Mikuni. I will start at 350 and go down. Thanks
  9. I am positive they are Keihin carbs. I will go out to the shop during halftime show. Some quick research online suggests some later years of banshee came with keihin is that correct?
  10. Long story short I bought this engine that's way outta my league and now I gotta jet it. I have burnt down sled engines before not jetting them correctly and do NOT want a repeat of that. I ride between 2500 and 3000 ft. 65.5mm bore. Stock stroke. 17cc domes. Numera cast pistons hi comp. Aggressive trail port. I think the reeds are stock. FMF SST pipes and I run 100LL av gas. I am wanting to run my stock Keihin carbs.
