  1. How soon is too soon to list parts in the for sale section? I bought a bike, but won't have it in my possession for 2 weeks, it has a bunch of good parts I want to sell or trade for the parts I need. The faster I dump or trade the parts the faster I can build the bike, so I thought if I listed the parts now, in 2 weeks when I pick up the bike they could already have buyers waiting? I'm not want I g any $ or deposited or anything crazy, just trying to line things up? I'm wondering is this ok to do? Or do we frown upon that around here?
  2. Lol, I like it, nice and easy to understand.
  3. It's only 4hrs.. From Tdod , renfrew is a nice area
  4. Thanks, indeed I will, parting out a trail bike, very soon. Elkas and lsr arms. Along with a bunch of other good parts. I will say this, the first time I took my old trail bike for a ride after installing my new Elkas, and full flight a arms, I couldn't believe it, huge difference for the banshee. Suspension would probably be up there in the top 3 first mods needed for a trail banshee, In my eyes
  5. There is no market here period. All parts would be bought from the US. I buy everything from our neighbours in the US.
  6. I wish I had the knowledge that u guys seem to have. I sure enjoy reading and learning about this stuff, u guys seem to be making some very good points, and stating some good opinions. I still can't find much on 4 mill big bore motors, not worth doing? or is it a dick thing, everyone wants the biggest crank?? So not as popular to build. Please jump in if u have personal experience with a 4mil big bore DM, cheetah or cub. Also this is for a drag motor, again I'm not even half as knowledgable as u guys, but going on what I'm reAding here, wouldn't the less torque in the 4 mill big bore be great for starting, and the higher rev good for the 300' race? Especially a guy who has no exp. setting up his lock up clutch. Or am I way out in left field?
  7. Yes that is for sure the smartest and cheapest way to do it, I 100% agree with you. I really never thought of it, or looked at like that, I am for sure serious about it, here is the thing tho I wouldn't mind a second bike, and there is a good chance the bike will take a long time to sell or not sell?? So my thoughts were building what I want incase it doesn't sell. But a stock stroke motor built from good used parts could be built very cheap these days, build it cheap, sell it cheap, probably a much better chance of getting guys to get into it. Ummm, not to mention most r all running piped banshees around here, so a drag ported stock stroke stock cyl. Bike, would still be nothing to laugh at. The other thing is I already own the 421 cheetah, I just haven't picked it up yet. I'm seriously thinking of a 78/58 DM if nobody buys it I'm stuck with a sweet bike, and also , of coarse this would all be over winter to have ready for spring and next years season. The DM build would only be if I could get a good price on selling the 68mm pv cheetah cyl. Cause I would already have all that's needed for the DM cyl. Bore and port cases and good to go. Great idea tho and I believe it would work , if guys could get into a drag bike for less then 3grand it would be much more appealing to them.
  8. Anyone who has owned or had the chance to try out a 4mil DM 72x58 or the 78x58 please let me know your thoughts on that set up.
  9. I went through this hole thread, great job, it's looking good! I can't wait to build another bike. It is unbelievably addicting as said earlier I. This thread. When comparing it to the shit, they forgot to mention that atliest when we are done with our HP addiction, we still have heavily modified banshee or whT ever your poison is, ya the wife left, she took the house, the kids, but you still have that heavily modified?? BUT when you wake up from your years of heroine use, chances are good you have NOTHING!
  10. He probably wants to know if he can fit it in his oven? But what I don't understand is why you don't take your measuring tape out and just measure it? (Not at all trying to be a dick, but I bet it would of been easier and faster then typing your question on here and waiting for a response.
  11. Yes ok that's exactly what I thought the meaning of "square" was.
  12. SPF sold pending funds, I get it.. Not sure if bhq is considered social media, but if it is it's the ONLY social media I do!! Thanks let me know if it doesn't sell I might be interested. I actually emailed you a month ago, maybe more on eBay through you cyl. Add asking about the tank, saw it in this same pictured, but you didn't respond back. Good luck
  13. My main reason for wanting to know about this, like many of us here I enjoy building my bike as much as I enjoy riding it. Some of you know we are trying to grow atv drag racing here in ON Canada, so I plan to build a cpl. Bikes to sell locally for basically the cost to build it.. I like doing out of the NORM, so I thought about doing a 4mil bigger bore motor. Judging by the first few responses it would be a good motor, but not as reliable as a more balanced stroked/bored motor. I'm thinking something over 500cc, but under 600cc, with a 4 mill crank.. I have my 535 cheetah, and in a week or 2 I'm picking up a 421 cheetah(not cub) the 421 is a pv, trail bike with lots of good parts to sell, to pay for the drag parts needed. First idea was to do the 68mm bore cylinders, have them ported and set up for drag racing. But that just seemed kinda boring. So my thought was to sell the 68mm bore cheetah cyl and find a bigger bore, cheetah or DM cyl..
  14. Not much of a social media guy, what is SPF. How much u want for the tank with pingle?
  15. Tricked, when you refer to motors as "square" or over square or under square, what do you mean by this?
  16. Can you guys fill me in on a few things. I'm wondering what, if any are the benifits of say a +4mil stroke with a bigger bore( as in bigger then 68) like say a 4mil over 500cc motor vs a 10 mil over 500cc motor? For example using these #'s as reference only A 4mil 535 vs a 10mil 535? Bigger the stroke = more bottom end torque? Lower the stroke = more? You can see what in trying to get at and understand here. I'm looking to better understand anything and everything to do with the bore and stroke and combinations of.
  17. Is the fuel cell, with pingle for sale in the back ground? Those cyl.. Were listed on eBay, did they sell?
  18. That's what happend when I first looked at the add I was on my phone. I still can't read what it says on mobile version.
  19. I didn't see all that? I really don't know why, but feel kinda dumb now? Very sorry. Maybe it didn't load? Cause all I got at first was title and pic? Again sorry
  20. Bore? Price? Condition ?
  21. Omfg. This place kills me!! Hahahaha
  22. How long till that bike runs out of fuel? Or how many miles or kl, do you get out of a tank?
  23. Nice good to know!! Why on almost every cheetah thread I read the opposite around here anyway. cub has more power to cc ratio is another big one always mentioned.. Seriously do you not read the same posts as I do? Even this post, is filled with with cheetah trashing. It's very nice to see and hear shit is still going strong. What's the estimated hp and torq of that motor?
  24. Please don't get me wrong, not once did I offer less, not once did I say it to be worth less, I own a cheetah, I like the cheetah, I want it's values to be high. I just don't want to be misunderstood. I worded that wrong above, I should of said "I felt it would be worth less" I feel this way cause of all the neg. stuff about the cheetah that I read. So I wasn't sure it was still valued at a decent price.
  25. So cheetahs are still holding value? And are not worthless junk, like most seem to say? Lol kinda what I'm trying to get at. Cause since I got my cheetah I read a lot of hatters so I was thinking maybe they were not worth much these days? I hope nobody gets me wrong here, I said it above and already I AGREED with the value, that mike said.. Those seem like some pretty big #'s?
