  1. When it bogs out I pulled the plugs and checked for fire. It's still firing. I agree it's something simple. I will try the squirt bottle when it bogs out again. I was wondering if those carb rebuild kits are crappy and are causing me problems
  2. Went out and tried again and put new plugs in and kicked fifty times and if fired up. Ran for a minute or two rapped out real nice and clean. Then it bogged out and died again. I'm trying to get it to run so I can sync the carbs(sync tool). They sound fine now just want to tune it in. I'm ready to give up Edit: also double checked pickup gap and checked for fuel in the bowls as soon as it bogged out
  3. I took the flywheel off and key is good.
  4. I took the cap off and kicked another few minutes and nothing
  5. I don't know I will take the cap off when I try again.
  6. Went out to the shop. Kicked it about five times and it fired right up. Ran for about three minutes like a dream. Then it dies. Kicked it until leg is sore and nothing then Kick it again about five minutes later and fires right back up. Runs for a few minutes then dies. This time can't get it to fire back up. Any thoughts
  7. Bought some pods. Now I have to eliminate the coolant bottle. Do y'all just cap off the line on the radiator with a rubber cap and hose clamp or what??
  8. Got a great deal. Got it fast. Would not hesitate to buy from oldskool
  9. I'm glad someone asked because I was wondering the same thing
  10. Amen to that. I don't remember the last time west ten has had such a cold dec/jan
  11. 21 is right. They give a range of 20-22 in the clymers manual
  12. Advancing the timing will help out the low end power some
  13. It's almost done just got one kink to work out. Gonna pull the flywheel and see if the key sheared on me this weekend. If it did then I will replace it and be done
  14. Who is going to the badlands from the southeast. If I have mine back together I will go. It's only 6 hours
  15. If your using a traditional torque wrench there is a thread in the technical section that's shows how to make a tool to hold it still. Or you could use a strap wrench but I would go with that tool
  16. This guy has some guts for attempting that after reading all the reviews.
  17. 1st thing pull carbs and do a leak down test and compression test 2 clean/rebuild carbs. Then check coil and stator ohms Check ground make sure it's grounding good and tight
  18. Remembered seeing someone looking for an SE. Seems to be a decent deal. http://jacksontn.craigslist.org/sno/4236928635.html
  19. I'm not too sure but that's pump gas right? If it is I wouldn't go over +4
  20. Yeah guy had it and I traded for it. Just got it running a while ago. Started acting up so I rebuilt the carbs and while I rebuilt the carbs put on the tors eliminator kit.
  21. Yeah took it off all together. I will check the key when I get a chance. If that's the problem I will kick my own ass for overthinking it
  22. I looked at them they appeared to be closed and looked good. I will probably order some reed gaskets and take them off to get a better look.
  23. Good ammo especially for home defense. I definitely want some
