  5. willardwright... would you consider going with pods? i remember i had a bog when using the airbox with no lid on. went to pods and no more bog. no needle change and it cleaned up the bike alot

  9. even on the small bore shearers inframe you have to run pods. they will not fit with the air box. throw some pods on and call it a day. just dont ride through deep rivers with the bike. however i believe you can cut the side walls of the air box and it may work but its going to very very tight in there. you will have to use that heat wrap ( i cant remember the name of it) so it does not melt the filter. i dont think its worth it to run the air box with such a good pipe. you want your shee to breath! pods are such a nice clean setup and make jetting a breeze

  11. What's your elevation and temp? And what do you mean it breaks up? Does it almost sound like a rev limiter on a streetbike type of effect?

  14. wow wow wow with the 225 main jet! your gonna blow that sucker up especially if its ported. heres what i would do... send your cylinders to a site sponsor to get ported to make it do what you want or keep it stock. i would runs pods but if your hard on using the air box then take the lid off, throw in a k&n clamp on airfilter with the adapter, throw some 27.5 pilots and 280 mains in the carbs ( if it is NOT ported) ( if its ported you will be in the 300+ range), get an adjustable timing plate and put it at +4. run stock needle in middle position. im taking it that you are below 2000ft above sea level also so your elevation and temp with effect jetting. also note that when you jet for summer you will need to rejet for winter with bigger jets. learn to use the search function and you will see alot of set ups and jet they use
  15. with the correct setup you can push up to 80hp. thats with race gas, certain size domes and bigger carbs. with stock carbs, and pump gas ( which i am currently using) you can easily push 65hp all day long which is a big jump over a bolt on shee. it def is a big difference

  19. Is that rust all over the pipes or mud? If its rust get some "pipe gel" it will take that rust right off
  20. elevation and any other mods along with temp will help with jetting. stock carbs with your mods should be 27.5 pilots and 280 mains depending on elevation and temp. 1.5 turns out on airscrew. needle on middle clip. your airbox lid is off correct? this should get you at a good starting spot if not pretty damn close if your under 2000ft above sea level. where is it boggy? when taking off?
  21. pic from today before workout. diet is in check and strength is starting to come back slowly. i feel a good comeback/ hopefully better physic coming if i can stay consistent. the war with the weights is on!
  22. i just bought some douglas polished rim with a "ambush" rear tire from jeff at fast. jeff is the man! according to him they should hook up just as good as holeshots ( what i currently have) and last just as long maybe a lil more. only got rear tires and rims. fronts are still ok so ill get them later. thankyou guys for the suggestions!
