  1. i unplugged the black box and it didnt change anything. the left cylinder is firing more frequently at low rpms but its still not right, and i cant get rid of the low end bog. i really am out of ideas of what it could be.
  2. well went on fmf's website and found out fmf says to use 260 main jets and 30 pilot jets. i think with the 280 main jets in the bike now are ok for winter time but im gonna pick up some diffrent pilot jets. i put new b8es spark plugs in each cylinder. i did test for air leaks but im not sure if i did it the proper way, what i did was get some water in a spray bottle and sprayed it on the base gaskets and head gaskets and cranked the bike over a few times and i didnt see and bubbles come out so i dont think there is any air leaks. i dont know if this is method works on bigger two strokes but this is how i check for air leaks in my nitro rc engines and it works for those. also couplex, what does that little black box do? is it something to deal with the tors?
  3. it runs 93octane mixed at 32:1 on yamalube now, i didnt know that was alot of compression for a banshee. i took a look at the spark plug caps and the left cap had some debris in there so i cleaned it out and sprayed some silicone in it and the spark seemed better. im not gonna mess with it anymore until i get some race fuel.
  4. i did a compression check, there is about 160psi in each cylinder and i replaced both plugs. i still cannot get it to idle or keep the left cylinder running at low rpm's. i dont know what else to do. any suggestions?
  5. i checked out the carbs today, they seem to be in sync and the jetting is a 280 main and a 25 pilot(is this the right jetting?). i took off the boost bottle and put a rubber tube in to connect both intakes. also each cylinder has a diffrent spark plug the left has a br8es and the right has a br9es, is this effecting anything?
  6. ok thanks, that helped a whole bunch. how will the boost bottle rip the intake?, im just curious.
  7. i havent done a leak down test yet but the tors are still on, how does the tors come off? i cant get those things off for my life, do they just screw off like a regular carb cap? any idea of what jets should be in the carbs with the fmf pipes?
  8. my brother just picked up a 03 banshee a few weeks ago and since he is off at college i said ill try to get his bike runnin right. the bike runs good on top end but it has a bad low end bog and wont idle at all even with the choke on. when its at low rpm's the left cylinder only fires every once in a while unless the choke is on. the bike currently has the following mods, white bros. boost bottle, fmf gold series with power core2 silencers, bored .30 over, and a ADA racing head. im a total noob when it comes to banshees, where should i start? thanks.
  9. it was the parkin break. thanks a lot guys. now just gotta get the idle right
  10. hmm. i was looking at the parking brake today and it had a ziptie holding something togather. but the ziptie was really loose and the silver thing that says "parking brake" or somethin like that on it was really loose.
  11. ill try that right now and let you know what happens
  12. hey im new to the site and need some help with my banshee i just got. It has fmf pipes, ADA head, white brothers boost bottle, and i was told it was bored .30. what i need help with is it idles fine but when i try to give it some gas it just boggs really bad and dies. the bike was running decent before but then i adjusted the air mixture screw to adjust the idle and one i got it to idle correctly it started doing this. i also messed with what i think is called the tors. thats when it problem first started
