  1. It had 200 mains
  2. What should my winter jetting for stock carbs be? I am at 126 ft elevation and the temp ranges from 30-50. Thank you for your help.
  3. Ok, slides were in the correct way. I am going to pull the idle jets after dinner. I need a break for a bit. I need to make sure my cars are synced correctly again. I started getting frustrated and just lost my mind tightening and loosing crap. I am going to check those things and then post what I find out. For now is there anything else it could possibly be? oh, when I did get it to run it was spitting oil out of the pipes enough to pepper my garage floor pretty good.
  4. Choke crossover is on, carbs synced, I am not sure about the ide jets, floats looked good and the carbs were clean. So I need to make sure the slides are in the correct side and then check the idle jet. which one is the idle jet?
  5. I just put them in, I didnt know they had specific sides.
  6. Ok, so I bought some stock carbs off of a guy that already had the TORS elimination kit installed. I took my old carbs off and then took my 200 main jets and swapped them with the 300 mains that were in his carbs. I then took my tors with the cable off and put the other throttle cable on. After I got that on I put in the new carbs with the tors elimination and the 200 mains on my shee. after hooking up the fuel and tightening everything down i tried to kick her and I got nothing. I did this forever until i tried unplugging the tors electrical cable from a black box under the gas tank. Now i got her to crank but it would rev extremely high then bog down and die. I twisted the idle screws ever way possible a hundred times until i finally got it to come to life. Then i got it to idle half way decent. Then I took it out on the street and it died after going 20 feet. after that I could only get it to start if the choke was out and then as soon as I tried to pull off it would die. Please tell me what the hell I did wrong. Until I put those carbs on she would kick over on the first try. Help me out cause I am lost now.
  7. email me pics of the skids to [email protected]
  8. I am going to work on it this weekend now that the holidays are over. I am not sure of the main jet size so I will pull it and check. The elevation here is probably 500' as I am close to the coast. How do I sync the carbs with those TORS things on them? Also, do I need to adjust those big screws on the TORS and if so how? Again I appreciate all of the help from everyone. I am really trying to get in to working on my own bike but I have nobody to show me the basics.
  9. Ok, I will give that a shot. Thank you very much for the help. It was very warm out when I had the problem, not cold at all.
  10. Where should I start? I did take the carbs out and soak them and clean them. I have done some reading and seen that you need to sync your carbs. I have never worked on something with two carbs so this is new to me. Could this be it and if so where could I find the best info on how to do it? Also, do I need to mess with the jets at all? They are stock as well.
  11. Hey guys, I need some help on this one because I have no idea what to do or where to start. I rebuilt the top end on my stock banshee and bored it 2 over. That is all that has ever been done to it. I bought it on its last leg and only rode it a few times before having to rebuild it and cannot honestly say whether or not it was doing this before the rebuild. Please help!
