Not the bikes

In between Saturday night to Sunday afternoon

There are hills everywhere we usually trail ride from hill to hill.
It’s usually the small hills that you wreck on.
At least that’s how it’s always worked for me lol.
Some POS broke in and stole mine and my Kids dirt bikes so I’m not sure I even want to ride no more makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it
Might just part out my quads and move on... just depends if I still feel this way in a few weeks

Frigg. So we're gonna need to pay $180 for a couple days of riding... Any way we can rent passes from locals for a handsome fee? Or are they stuck on bikes?
If you guys come out when we do a camp and ride you won’t need one.
We don’t have a pass
That being said I’m sure at some point we will get snagged

Can you buy short term day passes?
No you can’t.
Only at the aoaa Park you can but that’s not the area we ride

how much is the permit for trevorton again?
Right now it’s $125 a year
But it’s going up to $185 a year I think

Sully, I'm trying to get a few parts ready for a spring trip. Really hoping we can make this happen.
Make sure you guys let me know when your coming out!!

Once I got my domes set as far a squish and angle and compression that thing was insane I’ve never ran a motor that was snappier and instantly on pipe.
It did not rev like a cub thou.
I ran a tight squish with a narrow band width with lots of compression
19cc domes
Kicked out at 195psi

As far as a good hill climb setup my 10mil serval was by far the easiest to ride
I do miss that for technical hills

Not truly fair comparison my banshee was strictly hill climb setup instant power and longer swingarm with big paddles.
Raptor is slightly shorter with smaller paddles.
The Turbo does not make the bottom end tq I was hoping for but made big power in mid and topend.
The setup I have now is better for bottom end but don’t make the power on top as the Turbo
I want to build another Turbo setup.
I would not run the paddle brats.
These are called paddle masters
Cheapest good coal tire is the cyclone

You don’t need big paddles these hook awesome and wheelie all day long with a +6 arm there 8 paddle and around 60inch ro
20 inch tire

did u ever take ur turbo raptor there? that thing would have prolly walked right up the hills. Whoever has a 10mil serval on here that rides coals ,idk who he is , but hes got vids of his 14 yr old riding his 10 mil up them hills and hes got a d7 raptor and hes got some good climbing vids
Hey I’m the guy that used to have the 10mil serval and the Turbo raptor.
I traded the banshee motor for the raptor and have been using the raptor ever since. I no longer have a turbo on the raptor thou
I just sold the banshee that I had lol and got my son a raptor project to work on.
If your gonna drive 8 hours to get here my suggestions are buy a used or new +4 swingarm setup and a set of cyclone paddles..
Yea it will set you back about $400-500 depending but you will have way less issues unless you really like to wheelie.
You can always sell the stuff after your trip.
Or keep it for next trip?
Let me know if you come up.
If we plan it right we can maybe do a big camp and ride.

A few of my buddies broke there swingarm from that eBay seller the beefed them up afterwards.
My buddy made me a +8 arm out of heavy tubing .188 wall it never bent.
My raptor now has a +6 with the same heavy tuning and it's held up well to jumps whoops rocks etc.
I mean within reason I'm not doing 80 ft jumps but have done some 20ish ft table top type stuff.
Build it heavy duty and try seem to last.
Stellar makes a great arm as well.
Just make sure you don't worry to much about weight if your hard on it imo.
A extra 10 lbs does suck but not as bad as a broke swingarm !

The biggest thing I noticed when went longer that took a little of the fun out of trail riding is doing wheelies on the long swingarm while in trails if much harder so that's another thing to think of.
So if your a wheelie guy consider that

Ims1977, What swing arm lenght would be good and still trail rideable? My motor has a cracked piston. I should possibly port and bore while it's apart. But, I really feel a broad power band would work for me. If my crank is out of spec. I'll probably buy a 4mm.
I got plus 2 plus one a arms that use honda 450r lenght shocks. My frame is converted to a arms and gusseted.
The +4 is a decent all around setup if you like hills still rides decent if your more into trails and jumping I would stay stock length or maybe +2
Really depends what your after I guess.
Nice thing there easy to change
My raptor I run a +6 and trail ride all over but the only reason for the swingarm is cause I really like hill climbing if that makes sense
