I dont know but if it was me and I had the frame all stripped down to nothing I would powder coat, because the application of powder coating provides a durable finish that will not crack, chip, peel, corrode or fade, assuring a superior looking finish that will last for years A rattlecan job will put a new finish on the frame and is cheap but will eventually get chipped fairly easily.

Well my first question is,the gas shut off valve. I just replaced the o-ring and that smiley faced washer inside of the gas valve, now when i took out the two screws holding on the valve lever there was this really thin metal washer,Does the metal washer go in front of the handle that turns the fuel off and on or does it go inside of the valve where i put the o-ring? Im pretty sure it goes in front of the shut off lever ,but i dont know . I never took one of these apart till today and forgot where that dam metal washer should go. Also how tight should the 2 little screws be that holds the valve lever on , i snugged them up and it took some effort to turn the valve handle. Those two little screws ,how tight should they be? As for the kill switch it is a Pro Design brand and the ground wire is grounded to the chassis but there is another black little wire that is about 2 feet in length coming from the kill switch with exposed wire at the end of it, where should that wire go? Thanks

I was just sitting here thinking how insanely scary that would be to have your throttle go full bore on a quad , ive had it happen in my truck . i went to pass someone so i floored it and the pedal would not come back up till i kept on mashing on it then it returned then if that failed i would of just threw it into neutral and shut her down , turn out to be the transmission kick down was binding with the linkage on the carb.

What im going to do is take a 4"x4" 3/8 steel plate with a 2" round hole in the middle and weld that sucker to the steel pole thats in front of the water heater and then feed the chain through the hole in the plate,, whatta you guys think? -
Well I got my Banshee in a heated garage now ,im storing it at my freinds , the question I have is that its just sitting there with a tarpover it now, I would like to know what a person could use to keep the banshee safe and secured. He lives in a nice neighborhood its just that the place it was in before was a shop ,there was an rv that was blocking the banshee so i knew it wasnt going anywhere but i cant store it there anymore. The thing thats got me worried where its at right know there is a back door to the garage with a doggie door that could easily be pushed open the doggie door is big enough for someone of small statur to squeeze through and also the door has a big window that could also be broken ,so im pretty paranoid right now,Im thinking of how I could reinforce the back door to the garage and secure my quad in the garage, I know nothing is really theft proof but just a sense of secuity knowing that the quad is somehow secured to something makes me feel better.. I dont have a garage at my place so i keep the banshee at his house/ The neighbors in the area are pretty observant .

Could this type of stunt snap a connecting rod?
jon321 replied to jon321's topic in General Banshee Discussion
dam, thats was pretty crazy, i used to build rc cars back in the day and i was snapping connecting rods and destroying pistons from overeving and doing burnouts kinda from doing the same stuff as the guy on quad would do. -
I cant beleive this guy didnt snap something inside the engine , man that poor quad, you just know that thing is probably overheating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jp98fkbf5U

Im looking to get a set of nerf bars and what could maybe 150.00 get me? My right foot got bit by the back tire so I want some sort of shield to keep that from happening again. Also is there any drilling that is required to mount them? Ive seen so many nerf bars for sale but i am not familiar with any of the brands. Thank You

WHATS GOING ON WITH SELLERS AROUND HERE
jon321 replied to alf44's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What a complete asshole, you know you go out your way for this guy and he sends you this mess and then he complains . By rights he should give you every penny back and pay for shipping, that pisses me off. He"ll get whats coming to him if he keeps this shit up. You should post his name so other people wont get taken by this shyster. -
question about what octane to use...
jon321 replied to 97_banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah, thats the same thing i was told from the previous owner of my quad ,use only 110 octane with 36:1 . Make sure you use the right fuel or you will destroy the engine and then your looking at getting a whole new top end. It never happened to me but its scary thinking about it though -
You should be able to get what your asking, the quad looks great!
