I searched and there is very limited info on doing this. I would pay for a rebuild but I just can't understand why it costs so much. I looked and found a few places in magazines that do suspensions and they all say around 100 bucks for a rebuild. So I figured it would be around 150 with parts and maybe another 100 for a spring. Well, that 100 bucks became 600 bucks in seconds after sending a shock to Factory Connection for a rebuild recently. They socked me for anodising the shock body, a used replacement shock shaft, no revalving, not even a new spring that I needed, that would be several hundred more dollars if I wanted that. I'm not Bob Hannah or some factory rich kid, I just need a shock that isn't leaking oil. If I send this blown Banshee shock to someone, I don't want to spend more than around 150 bucks for the rebuild. I also just bought a new 6.3 Eibach spring for it that I want put on it. Please send me a link on how to rebuild it myself, or if you know a place that won't try to sell me expensive stuff I don't want.
