  2. well knowing me and my friends this banshee will be out in the fields, street, and prob on the lake in the winter. do some ice racing .no dunes and no huge hills, i hav seen wat happens when the bike goes backwards down the hill. funny to watch but i wouldcry if i were the owner
  3. I was told that even a 2 inch extended swing arm well cause a huge difference in handling. if i put an 8 inch extended swing arm would i be able to turn at all?
  4. thanks, i was trying to find what the frame was made of, so far i was using mild steel. i tried stainless at first but it didnt seem strong. especially cause i dont have a tig welder. i may use some tubing but i am thinking going to an angle pieces of steal. the motor is just so big. i maybe putting a 8 inch extended swing arm cause i will be sitting back so far now.
  5. what is the best kind of tubing should i use? stainless steel is very pricey
  6. Well i have two banshee frames. i think i may redo my work because i just ran into a huge problem with exhaust. Also i have no worries about the welding. i am not doing any of the welding. I have three welders. one owns the blacksmith shop. the other one is a expert welder with 20 years of experience, he builds and racing motorcycles and my last one works on race cars, he does most of the welding and mechanical work on two different teams in my area. its just hard fitting this big motor in the frame. I need to figure out either to keep it cheap and just run with the gsxr tank and air box or do some custom work.
  7. i can into another problem, i have to seat about a foot and a half back cause the tank is so big, its alot of work
  8. Hi, does anyone have the pastics and a seat
  9. this project just gotmore complex, thanks for the help
  10. thanks for the advice, should i just buy another frame and cut sections out of the replacement and then add more reinforcements. wats the best thing to do, try to get straight tubing and weld them in place or wat kind of tubing. this thing is going to be used for field riding and for the snow and ice. right now the everything thing else is at stock dimensions. i was thinking about extending the swing arm either 2-4 inches. the biggest thing i want to do is widen the front and get something with longer travel.
  11. Hi everyone I had to cut my banshee in order to put a gsxr motor in. I cut out the top two sections out. pretty much where the gas tank starts to straight up above the pegs. just wondering if the bike will be strong enough to ride without breaking the thing in half. if i should fix this thing should i just get another frame and weld it back together?
