  6. I just completley rebuilt my banshee.. (bought it in pieces) It is the first banshee I have ever owned. After fixing and having the slides in on the wrong carbs this thing RIPS!!!! It runs great everywhere. However, it hates to start and sometimes when i kick it and it doesn't start it backfires. It also will not idle. I have a 290 main jet in it with a BRAND NEW 27.5 pilot. I tried to lean out the pilot thinking that its trying to flood itself when it doesn't start so I would turn the air screw to 2 turns out and it just did not run good at all. Right now I have the air screw 1.5 turns out and it runs great just does not like to start or idle. Please help me out guys. Mods Toomey T3's Proflow filter with adaptor and no airbox lid boyseen reeds.

  8. we used the propane torch today and it made it much less noticeable!! Still can tell its there... is that as good as it gets or do we need to do it multiple times letting it cool down??

  17. I bought this banshee in pieces and rebuilt it completley. New crank bearings, new pistons, new bore everything. Got it together finally today and rode it for just a few minutes do to having some sprocket problems. In neutral it free rev'd really nice but would not idle. I would get into it and it would bog and never really come out of it. I know its a jetting problem. I have the stock pilot, 280 mains and the clip on the 3rd notch on the needle. I'm in Ohio around 900ft. My mods are Toomey T3 pipes and silencers Boyseen reeds stock airbox w a Huge Proflow filter and NO LID Any tips this is my first banshee and am a jetting noob

  20. make sure you don't ride in any water or pods are not a good setup
  21. center of the swingarm???
  22. you can find everything in the bottom end for 100 bucks except the cases. When I went looking for a banshee i could fix up and rebuild i looked for two things.... Frame was straight and the Cases weren't chain whipped or damaged.
  23. I've heard Banshee's are hard on chains and I'm getting ready to start mine up for the first time (been rebuilding it). The manual says if it exceeds 1.6in of slack to tighten but it doesn't specify where to measure from? Also I remember someone talking about the best case saver and can't remember the name of it. Thanks guys
