  1. i have a spare banshee motor that i have never used since i bought it second hand (think its a RZ because it has an oil pump below the water impeller?) anyhow. split the cases, with help from Savage420 (thank you!) and i found this..... how does this happen and do i need a whole new gearbox or can i get just the replacement gears? thanks for your replies
  2. Newbies - this is also exactly what this post is about! Im a newbie to BHQ from South Africa and tried to buy something from one of the members on BHQ from the US, and my paypal payment was blocked and cancelled (by paypal) because they thought someone hacked into my account as i have never sent money to the US before. because of this confusion the seller said that i wasn't verified and it all looks abit dodgy so the deal is off - when i actually was verified and was honest and looking to complete the deal with no dodgy doing in mind. so this is as much for the newbies and the old school and will hopefully give us newbies a chance having a verified account.
  3. yeah man, just something i found that might be useful for those that would like to check as im not sure how many people know that it is possible to check. as for the new guys they can be verified from day one - this just means that sellers/buyers will have paypal protection as all user info is confirmed and verified by paypal. Yeah thanks, i love my banshee - no other like it in the world (i designed the graphics myself)
  4. Hi Everyone I am doing this writeup in the hope that it will help all buyers and sellers feel safer about transactions. For anyone on here, buying or selling goods this might be useful and prevent any misunderstandings as to the safety of a buyer or a seller. If you want to check whether someone is paypal verified or not you can use the following link and modify the back part simply by pasting the email address of the buyer/seller to see if they are verified or not - giving you extra peace of mind. https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=*put email address here* Replacing the (*put email address here*) with the persons email address - i got this from paypal after fighting with them so in my case as an example thebrittishguy verified or not? will show if im a verified paypal user. (you will need to login to your paypal account) https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/[email protected] (to show what the link looks like) This can be used for any paypal user whether here or on ebay or any other place where you might use paypal. Hope this will help other buyers/sellers stay safe!

  6. here is a screenshot of my account status. please man let me buy the goods from you. if paypal is going to mess this up for me i will pay any other way you want.
  7. so not cool man - Paypal cancelled the payment and i had to redo all reconfirmation of all stuff, adress, phone numbers, card numbers, email addresses, passwords for no apparent reason! I swear i did not cancel that payment. i will send you screenshots of my paypal account showing that i have adresses and payments and that i AM a verified member. I think paypal just found it suspicious that i am now sending money to the US having never done it before (which is understandable)i did mention to you that this is the first time i am buying from that side of the world. i am seriously pissed off at paypal for doing this and for jeopardizing this deal it was perfect. please can you reconsider i would still like the goods, and i SWEAR you can wait till the money is in your hand from paypal before sending anything to me if you want, i am in no hurry and i am honest and happy to go at your pace. here are my details skype username thebrittishguy same as here ebay, stonedgenius paypal [email protected], Id like to chat with you, my skype name is thebrittishguy, or i can catch you here
  8. ill take the lot if its not gone yet - send me paypal details please.
  9. anybody know if this is possible with fattys and powercore 2 silencers? anyone done this care to upload a pic or two? thanks for the replies
  10. boost bottles are great for the bottom end of your dustbin. dont waste your money. this topic has been very well documented on the forum, try the search feature on anything you are looking for as i pretty much guarantee that you will find what you are looking for without having to ask.
  11. you need a precision welder, someone that specializes in welding. i got both my pipes done for around $37 equivalent. get a yellow pages and see.......
  12. it is definitely possible, i had 2x 14cm rips in my Fatty's and had a precision welder sort them both for me. once he was finished i had both chrome/nickle plated 140nm and they are as good as new!
  13. i didnt run it or take it for a run when i had the above problem, i just thought rather than damage something, check with the HQ and try fix it before riding. now it is lovely thanks, it just feels sometimes in top end if i give it gas that i hear the revs but dont feel them as hectic as i used to. im thinking maybe clutch adjustments? i have a RD 350 motor here which have jugs that are bigger bore, but my current ones are ported, would you reccomend leaving the ported in vs the bigger bore. the top of the RD pistons say .200 where my current ones are .100. been thinking if its worth swapping them or not. also would the RD gears be any benifit? i see below the waterpump that there is an extra unit on the RD that the banshee doesnt have, what is this and what does it do? thanks again for the info and help
  14. sorry guys, its showing up on my side....... does anyone have a link or a page that shows how to insert the idle screws please? Just fyi, my pilot jet on the right side was blocked not giving fuel to the right side. (cleaning and blowing out with a compressor sorted it out) thanks for the help
  15. what sort of performance will does this add?
  16. Anyone got a tutorial or a link to a page that shows how to do this please? And will this be why the left carb is sucking more air than the right at any given rpm? If not what could cause this when the slides are pretty much even looking with the eye?
  17. if you see my signature then you will see that i have tors removed. its not exactly at idle but at just above idle the left is at 7 and the other is at 1. just showing the difference at the same rev state. where are the idle screwson a carb with tors removed? all i have is the air screw which is at 1.5 turns out on both......
  18. hi all. i have the carb sync tool and started my banshee today to sync the carbs. both dots line up at WOT on the sides of the carbs. they both look in sync at idle (just an observation) when i put the carb sync tool on the left one it has a decent air flow reading of 7. the right one has a reading of 1 clearly not having the "sucking" force of the left. i have set the cable and top of the carb on the right one and if i go higher then it affects the revs (higher) than the left but the air doesnt increase to anywhere near the 7 mark even when the revs are higher than the left...... any reason why this might happen? is this normal?? (i dont think it is having had a look at the youtube video showing how to use it)
  19. lol i know. nice alarm system i have, just not very convenient if i want to stop somewhere... ha ha
  20. Hello all. My shee is up and running stronger than ever after the rebuild. 1 last issue with it that im hoping someone can share some light. If i kick it over with the caps from the coil on both spark plugs, it wont start. if i remove the left one and put a screw driver or anything metal in so that it sparks and earths on me to the frame or pipes and shocks me then it starts on the right cylinder. i then put the left cap back on the left spark plug and the left cylinder kicks in and the bike runs like a champ, it wont start if they are both on the spark plugs. it is the left cap that does this, cause it i swap them around then i have to shock on the opposite side if that helps id like to know what i can do to not have to shock myself in order to get the bike started and running..... wierd one that i cant solve.
  21. assumption is the mother of all mess ups.no need for vibes. This is a US based site for banshee lovers all around the world. There aren't just US users "here" mate! And these freeze plugs shown in the photo's in the leakdown how to dont exist according to the plumbing and automotive places ive been to....... So i thought is ask the users "here", that might know of another place here in england or in South africa as both locations are open to me.
  22. does anyone know where i would get these freeze plughs in the how to in either south africa or england? i need ones that expand to 35mm to fit the banshee and do the leakdown
  23. Hey all. Im in london for 4 days and cant find a place that knows about freeze plugs here. this is the last thing i need for my leakdown test and i need 34mm freeze/core/expansion plugs. If you have an idea then please let me know where i can go, because guys in South Africa also dont have a clue where to get them. thanks
  24. are the white plastic splash guards necessary? i have 2 banshee's and they both never had them......... just a question. does it affect performance or anything?
