  1. I need a good overide 1-5 for pavement racing also i see some say they have straight cut gears,what does that mean.....would that be better ?
  2. i was thinking he's pretty fast.......from what i've test smaller tires with taller gearing give better times than bigger tires and lower gearing because bigger tires carrier more weight.

If you mean me,i tried the last clip on the needle and it would surge and run like it was lean or something but it was really to rich,so i went to 3clip and it rev's so fast now its scary.......then i ran it with no main at all and it ran pretty good but i could tell it was to rich up top...so now i have my main at .120...BUT i ran out of alcohol + it started raining so the tuning will have to wait now. and i'm using the carbs without the POWERJETS,but they seem to work better so its .120 main 3 clip on needle that comes with those PJ KEHIN CARBS AIR SCREW 1/2 TURN OUT 58 PILOT and the drain line at the bottom of the bowl has been looped up to the holes on the side of the carb,so its feeding fuel there too....its a consent flow of fuel because the bowl hasbeen drilled and taped to run powerjet,but instead the lines are run to the holes on the side of the carb

  5. there are NOT triple ported. by the way how do they triple port stock cylinders??...... after looking at the cylinder i don't see how they do it without cutting into the water jacket.. im going to try the ones without the powerjets.........i bought a drill set so now i can drill the main to the proper size,should i still stop at .120 without the powerjets or should i go bigger ?
  6. i got another set of carbs that were on alcohol but they don't have powerjets.........i want to try them,if anyone has ever heard of running alcohol without powerjets?
  7. yes on the power jets i'll go do some measuring and see where i'm at right now.
  8. give me some numbers what size should they be 1.dump tube 2.main jet 3.what clip on neeedle 4.pilot jet size give me a ballpark to start with.
  9. if that is it then it was drilled out also is there anything that needs to drilled out in the carb besides the main jet ?
  10. I don't know what size the main is drilled to but i tried three different ones and the out come was the same no change ACT ALL!!! IT'S like no matter what we try with the carb it does the same thing what is the dump tube........powerjet have been on every setting possible. i think the needle are the ones that come with the carb. and no we did not gap the plugs

I have a set of kehin 34mm carbs tat i had a guy TRY to convirt to alcohol,but all i get is a bog.... really bad when you throttle it we have tried EVERYTHING.....drilling mains,big pilot,moving the needle and the outcome is the SAME exact bog we have also changed stator,flywheel,and CDI only thing left to try is coil,but i dont see how that could be the problem. it runs perfect on gas..........but just bogs down on alcohol !!! is there something i'm missing here,what all is needle to run alcohol on these carbs ? also its a 4mill with stock cylinders fully drag ported with 18cc domes PLEASE HELP!!!!
  12. i have a friend run 18/33 on 18"hosssiers and he can barely get through the 1/8mile without topping out its a stock cylinder 68mm/longrod 4mill....with triple ported cylinders it does have a override 1-5 it run 6.70's
