stroking

it still runs very strong on the bottomend and mid but it falls on the topend,almost like its not get enough fuel or something

I Had a guy locally port a set of cylinders for me and he made all the ports and tranfers ALOT BIGGER,he made them lower and i see most say to raise them,but thats not what he did. well i went out for a test run at the dragstrip and its slower now......im running 7.80's at 83mph now,but was running 7.10's at 93mph before he reworked the cylinders......can i just resleeve the cylinders to fix them. the cylinder where done by vito before the reworking.....it was there superstock porting,i added a vito 4 mil crank last month and was told i needed to have the cylinder reported,so i tried someone locally.....he also made the transfer a circle like shape,and not the square shape they come with. what should i do?

well,every setup must be different because i had a banshee here that was bogging down really bad,so i tried every jet change i could with no luck so i then tried timing,i set it at +5 and bog got ALOT better so i went for +9 and no only was the bog gone but the bike felt like it gained about 5-6hp. i rode it for about an hour straight without shutting it off....(rode it HARD) and i had zero problems......this is on a stock crank,stock size pistons on 93 pump gas. this bike has a rickstator,new flywheel and cdi box also

if this is true, then why do people get the standard overide where you can NOT down shift? if they both work the same on the upshifts then seems like the duneO/R would be the only seller.

where did you get the tools?

where can i get the tool to port inside the cylinder.....transfers

what does this straight cut mean ? is it like and override..........i'm looking for a 1-5 override if its anything like that.

bike was bought with override already in it....

i just replaced two forks that were broke in half,but now when i go to 4th gear it jumps right into 5th or gets stuck in 4th it has a 1-3 override,but 4th gear is the problem gear

Is it possbile for the bike to bog and not rev up good if the float is set to high i have a set of 37mm miki carbs on alcohol that seem to be running way to rich...it bogs of the line really back then it would catch and you had better be holding on tight.....it spits fuel out the pipes really bad also also if you prop the backend up to change the rear tires it will flood the motor with fuel,which also makes me think the floats are over flowing....carbs do not leak fuel though...... the main is drill .108.... needle on second clip...can't see the numbers on the pilot. any help is welcome

does a 2-5 mean you have to use the clutch to go from first to second or does it mean there is no first ??

this is with ALL things being = except one has been bored 5mm and one stroked 5mm.........which would show the most gain on a dyno ?????

Iwas on a website that offers alot of different engine combos and all with the stock cylinders are stock bore with lots of port work but different crank sizes they have a 4mil stock bore 5mil stock bore 7mil stock bore even a 10mil stock bore on stock cylinders and FYI hotrod makes a 5mil that will drop right in.

i used 5mm as an example and you do NOT have to trench for a 5mm i wanted to know which will give the BIGGEST gain..........STROKING OR BORING

if you could only do one for a drag bike which one would you gain the most from ......... stroking a motor 5mm or boring it 5mm ?
