  3. I live in Wyoming i try to make it to Killpecker at least once a year if not there is some small dunes near Glenrock Wyoming we should hit it up sometime.
  4. Well i tried 158 mains needels are on the middel clip timing is +4 and no change same sputter on top end i was worried about +7 but i wll give it a try loco. Jeff mentioned not to run it to hard at plus 7 but i will see if that gets rid of the probelm.
  5. Im running stock gears it does not seem to matter if im on a hill or not it does the same thing. It almost seems like an ignition problem but i need to jet down first to rule that out will post back. Thanks for the advice.
  6. OK guys well I will go down a ways slowly on the main and get new plugs even though the ones in it i just replaced. Are you guys running the CEL needles or the stockers that came with the Pwks?
  7. Woops sorry i ment 172 but i have worked down to a 165 and still have the same effect on the top end maybe i need to go way lower.
  8. Hey guys Ive got a 421 cub that i have been having problems pulling threw the gear. Off the bottom and threw the mid range seems perfect and hits hard like it should it just seems like i am hitting a rev limiter on the top end. When I first built this motor I had T6s and figured that was the problem but now with small bore shears it still does the same thing. I am running 39mm Pwks with 272 mains and does not seem to fat. My elevation is about 4200, timing is plus 4, and run Av gas. Where should i look next oh and compression is 160 on both sides.

  10. Never mind that i guess it would do same thing by not threading in as far as the plug making more volume = less compresion, bummer i wasted fifty bucks on a cheap gauge
  11. Yep thats the gauge i bought why do i have to use the long thread adapter could i just screw the gauge in with out the adapter i have not tried that yet
  12. Well i really dont think that my top end is ready to be rebuit yet im gonna try a diffrent gauge and see what happens. I will report back.

  15. Well its a brand new Lisle gauge (its what the parts store had it was like 50 bucks) but im not sure just how accurate it is i dont hear any deto but i might not know just what to listen for either
  16. Hey guys so its finally starting to warm up so i took her out for a ride. This winter i bought small bore inframe shears, a pingle, shift star and some bling. Well i did a compression check and had 135 psi in both cylinders so i decided to run 91 this year instead of avgas. So after getting the jetting close i went for a little ride and noticed the plugs came loose so i tighten them up and the same thing happened. Tried new plugs same thing, my timing is plus 4 is this to much for 91. Ive never had this happen before so I'm getting annoyed. Can some one lead me in the right direction.
  17. Wrong oil, out of adjustment, worn parts but the ebc would not be a bad choice for your bike being close to stock.

  20. I had t6s on my cub for a little bit and they came on quick and that was about it. Got Sheares now the diffrence is amazing but can say they are for sure a top end pipe but thats what a cub is all about.
  21. Thanks savage thats what i wanted to see im give her a try. Maybe now my cub wont be such a pain to shift with the power on hard.
  22. Its a good thing two put a little two stroke oil with your dieasel on the new fuel we get it helps lubricate the injectors.

  24. Hey guys in the process of putting in a modded shift star and want to do the shift shaft mod. I tried to search but found no pics can any one give any advice of how to mod. I have access to a machine shop so the right tool is no problem just have never seen how to do it. Any help would be awesome THANKS you Shee freaks LOL
  25. I seen some videos on e bay that teach how to port. I know it is not easy and you can do more damage than good but it would be sweet to learn. Start small and go from there would be my advice.
