  1. sounds like if it will run on the procom maybe the stock cdi isn't any good. seems like it would run off either one of them if they was both good units. as far as your motor not running good,I think something has been over looked here.
  2. my theory was even though hot cams are installed in a 4 stroke ,the head could still be ported.
  3. i have a +6 with the rollers from ebay $150.00 to the door total. they were listed for $179.00 i emailed them and received a better deal with free rollers.have had no issues with the swing arm.
  4. dude i have no problem with you what so ever.no one here is perfect, like i said not every one is not going to agree 100% of the time. im here for the same reasons as most, for the information, and everything else that revolves around it.i just jumped in where i had some disagreements not that i completely disagree with you.im far from knowing everything but i intake as much as possible in the areas im interested in, or that catch my attention.to me and i may be wrong, seems like you jumped in to this thread to defend what has been discussed in this thread.i don't have a problem with that.just because you believe something doesnt mean it applies to me and others.im sure alot of what i think wont apply to you or others.this is what i have tried to explain to you in the last post .opinions are what makes all the discussion.apparently in this particular thread there are more that disagree than agree with what has been discussed.
  5. first of all your last post dyno numbers are bullshit.ok with out those numbers how will we know what needs to be adjusted or what changes need to be made. to improve the performance of the unit which is in question, not only can you dyno to get performance but also for economical purposes, like better fuel economy.anyway until i quoted you dyno numbers were bullshit and were only for show one mans bike was better than the others or whatever.no where did i see you explain where the numbers were useful in any fashion besides the fact that they were for someone to show off their numbers beat on their chest and say im the man.there are also other good uses for a dyno that i see you have failed to mention this time around while your half ass agreeing with me since i quoted you.all the new fuel injection bikes,a dyno is the best tuning tool for remapping and dialing in the new computer stuff.also i have found is the best method for dialing in turbo's. as far as rest of the disagreements on this whole thread, its everybody's opinion mine your and everybody else's opinions.if we all didnt have different opinions we wouldn't have anything to talk about. wouldn't have a need for bansheehq.im sorry everybody's disagrees with what has been posted hear on this particular thread.the guys here where giving there opinions on what they though and when they couldn't change their minds on their thoughts, they got mad about it.just maybe by chance there is a better way to achieve what they want, instead of what they are trying to do.not every one here drag races so there are many different opinions to be shared.there is a shit load of knowledge on this site and the people here do their best to help each other.i hope you find some insight here as well even though not every one is going to agree 100% of the time.
  6. i believe this is one of the stupidest comments i have read yet on the entire site.everyone i know including myself reasons for using a dyno is to TUNE.no matter if one dyno run compares to a different dyno run.so i guess everyone that has used a dyno or has their set up dynoed has wasted their money and time.this also means a dyno isn't a good method for tuning.ok i run my bike on a dyno and i get horse power and torque readings.then i adjust some things and make another dyno run.the second dyno run produces more torque and more horse power.alright i guess this is the time where i would beat on my chest because i have established that my bike is making more horse power and torque, but it don't mean nothing that i have a higher number right.if it didnt mean anything why did i get a lower number b 4 adjustments.every one that has a dyno get rid of it ,there inaccurate and the DYNO NUMBERS ARE BULLSHIT!!!! this is fucked up to me because i was always under the impression that a dyno was to tune and to put you wheels in a environment perfect for tuning purposes.not to mention that is kinds hard to actually see what your bike is doing at 100mph and right then to see where you may need to make changes. now as far as rest of this post/argument goes.if the set up work for someone fine but if it is working so well why the fuck are they asking people here for their opinion just for you to put down the answers they were asking for.from what i read and i read it all.every comment made was opinions and what people have tried and what they thought its purpose was intended to do.they were given a opinion then would say you don't know what the fuck your talking about, well if the people here don't know what the fuck their talking about, why would they ask for their opinion in the first place. everyone has a opinion this is one of mine.
  7. i have the fmf turbine core 2's on my bike at the moment. i took the silencers apart and removed the forestry stuff . i need some different pipes the fmf's are holding my motor back.
  8. not trying to start a argument here and i hope you agree. putting hot cams in a 4 stroke is nothing like porting a 2 stroke. you can put hot cams in but you can still port the 4 stroke head as well. installing hot cams changes lift and duration , doesnt do anything to the 4 stroke heads intake/exhaust ports. also doesnt change the combustion chamber or valve pockets, valve seat angles etc.
  9. look at a stock banshee, how detuned they are out of the box.who's to say the pipes aren't detuned. im sure toomey, fmf.and pro circuit pipes have some sort of standards/regulations they have to meet like epa and so on. noise decibel etc.its like porting cylinders,im sure someone that knows what their doing can improve fmf system. like the other dude was saying why did they make regular silencers and also have the shorty silencer. if it needed to be a certain length for tuning purposes, why did they make different lengths. some of the closed circuit pipes may not have to meet any epa/standards or regulations i don't know. then you have the forestry stuff, i wouldn't think turbine core 2's would be as good as power core's who knows. someone one the site shold be able to shed some light on the subject.
  10. that's a sick quad, and your time slip, those times your laying down are very respectable especially for a twin cylinder .threes a lot more going on there than meets the eye.why don't yall run the power adders.a little spray should put it well in the 5's i will have to say that's the best times i have seen yet personally from a quad.i do know the world record for a yamaha rd is in the mid 8's but the bike that produced that time don't weigh nothing.i cant remember the specs on it.the video of it is on everything 2 stroke.man i would spray the shit out of it be the first man in to the mid 5,s on a quad.or has it already been achieved, i don't know.that is a nasty ass looking quad and the pipes are knarley as hell looking.
  11. sounds like yer ready to rock.yfz 450 run hard right out of the box,i feel like too big for one when riding one but i think there a great quad. butt if he only has a pipe, filter and rejet or what ever it dont stand a chance against whats in your sig.if you got what you say you got then the yfz 450 is in serious trouble.
  12. for that long of a race run a 15 tooth front sprocket, with the mods i read in your sig you will kill him every where.i spank yfz 450' all day long.
  13. its probably a single cylinder.it probably got the 2 pipes coming out of the head and thats why their thinking twin.just like how the 400ex's have two exhaust ports.even though i cant see the other side, seems like the motor is sitting centered.if it was a twin i would think the motor would be sitting wider instead of tucked up under the tank.
  14. i need some black plastic.
  15. . is it just bogging, not cutting out or running erratic.you may need to rejet. what jets do you have now.what gears you have at the moment.how long has it been bogging. it runs solid 1rdt thru 5th.
  16. hell yea mega booster.
  17. looks like when you got out of it you lost your momentum.shoulda stayed in it looked like ya would have made it.hard to get momentum back when you loose it where you need it most. more hp can get you in to trouble as well.what mods do you have at this point.
  18. must have fallen and hit his head on the way down or somethin. thats like trading your corvette for a chevette. alot of you may not go back far enough to know what a chevette is.
  19. i know someone that bough one, they seem to be happy with it,it will also accept all the popular domes.
  20. their cheaper by the dozen.
  21. some bigger carbs, cylinder porting and a cool head with changeable domes and race gas.advanced timing.that should have you in front of the 250r.the onlt thing running with you then may be another highly modified banshee.
  22. the banshee is almost 400pnds the guy riding it is almost 300pnds i would say thats pretty good.the bike is under 250pnds.the banshee is at a disadvantage power to weight ratio badly.sounds like if the banshee rider was only say 180 pnds,it would have won all the races.i know my cr500 will out run my banshee, but im working on that.
  23. the lower the faster.no matter if its a car, drag bike or quad.the more air under you means more resistance/turbulence between you and the ground which will slow you down. are you stretched any frame or swing arm.
  24. i agree with onesickcrewcab i don't have a flo bench never operated one and have no technology to see what works and what don't,i have tried boyesen reeds and v force and wasn't pleased with either.i took someones word for it bought 2 sets of blaster reeds off ebay and then bought some carbon flex reeds.off ebay.i sent the reeds and cages to a shop i use for porting, he ported the blaster reed cages.when i got them back put them in to my banshee and ill tell you what.i noticed more of a difference than i ever have on any reed i have ever used on any dirt bike atv or 2 stroke drag bike i have ever owned.i cant explain the workmanship in the reeds because i didnt do the work, i run all i can tell you is they work, more of a difference in v force and they look stock.so i guess sometimes people stumble across something that works with out all the technology.
  25. im using the tusk aluminum bars at the moment and like them pretty well.i flipped my quad over about a month ago and the bars held up fine, bent the steering stem though.
