  1. you will love them especially when you go blowing by the gaylords with sandstars and there is nothing wrong with a 8 inch rim. more floatation and better hole shots.

  3. What lighting up grade is everyone running? i upgraded my stockers to a piaa bulb but still looking for somthing better.

  5. i have sheares and they blow for dunning...my carbs probably arent set up right as far as the jetting but i think i got it close. i kinda wish i got t-5s. my bikes is kinda boggy then its like a switch and takes off. i beat all the 450s unless they are stroked. but im going 4mil this summer so im just going to keep them. but if you plan on any kind of dunning go t-5s. if you want all out drag sheares. just my .02 cents.
  6. hell if i know mine is a 2006
  7. does the sealer really work? as for the tail light i used the stock braket. cut that down then i got a light from west marine. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/286375/377%20710/0/led%20light/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/40/0?N=377 710&Ne=0&Ntt=led light&Ntk=Primary Search&Ntx=mode matchallpartial&Nao=40&Ns=0&keyword=led light&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=5002&subdeptNum=9&classNum=13045
  8. i didnt get how it worked either till i saw them in person. they are threded on both ends and there is a o-ring if you look in the 2nd pic. when you tighten the clamp the o-ring expands to the size of the pipe. i think it will go from 1" to 1 3/16 " pipes. i put grease on the threads so if i ever wanted to remove them i can.
  9. my stock hanger broke and my clamps were all rotted out and leaking. so it was time to upgrade. they seem to be pretty good products but we will see after i go to glamis this weekend. heres a few pics. enjoy. heres the clamp. and the hangers
  10. heres a few more pics and my tail light i came up with.
  11. i couldnt find anything on upgraging stock headlight so i thought i would show what can be done. i will take you step by step through the process. take the headlights appart, get the grill and lens seperate. you can see how faded they are and my bike isnt that old its a 2006. wet sand the whole thing. start with 1500 then 2000. depending on how scratched and chipped yours are you might want to start with 1000 grit. mine were just faded so i didnt need to take much off. then i used some wax on a buffer the get the scratches out and ended up with this. cut the grill off i cut closer with a razor blade and sanded with 800 grit to get rid of the sanding marks and fading. i took a heat gun to it. dont get it too hot or it will melt. you can see it change colors thats all you need to do. i switched out the light bulbs with piaa h6m bulbs. the blue i was kind of iffy about. but when they are on they are white. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDetail.do?&navType=type&webTypeId=88&navTitle=Electrical&webCatId=20&prodFamilyId=16548#vehicleSelect you can see the difference with and with out the grill the left one is piaa the right one is stock final product this is the piaa bulb. looks bright white, not blue.
  12. my boss got those wallymart light for his polarass and he said they get hot quick and the distance is horrible on them...
  13. the piaa's are 35w each. do you think that will be a problem with a stock stator? ive just heard too many bad things about aftermarket stators... http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&vehicleId=1661&webTypeId=88&navTitle=Electrical&webCatId=20&prodFamilyId=16548#vehicleSelect
  14. Is there any mods to make to the stock headlights? i was thinking about cutting the grilles off and getting piaa bulbs. the only thing is the piaas are tinted blue. do they shine blue or white? and would cutting the grilles off hurt anything? thanks
  15. damn isnt that rubbing your frame? what pipes are those? they kinda look like shearers but the mid pipe looks different...
  16. has any one had problems with it being solid to the frame. as far as the pipe cracking?
  17. my stock clamps blew out and i have oil spitting on my leg and now my hanger broke on the left side this weekend. i was just wondering what everyone is running? so im in the market for a good set of both. i was looking at the modquad billet hangers and slip on clamps. any one use these? thanks
  18. just ditch it. weight reduction mod
  19. its only the left side that clogs whats the HP difference doing a 4mill? and do i need a better clutch? or what else needs to be done?
  20. what carbs should i run with a drag port stock crank, bore and pistons? im tired of dicking with the stock carbs. the pilot jet on the left carb always clogs. i clean it out and it runs good for a couple trips then clogs again.
  21. ok i have a some what stock shee. (mods in sig.) my question is would it be worth it to port a stock crank and comp. motor or go with a 4 mil or...and also should i get bigger carbs? i use the bike mostly at glamis. 80% drag 20% dune. thanks.
  22. was thinking about powder coating my frame, a-arms, wheels, ect. black with blue plastics. maybe do the pipes black or a ceramic coating a flat black or grey. what do you guys think? i saw a red and black one on here but i cant find it now. same thing but blue.
  23. yeah you cut it off your quad throw it away, get butt connectors and bypass it. its useless junk.
  24. ok just got back from dumont and to report the 13t on the front did help out quite a bit. i think i could go up 1 or 2 on the back even. i forgot how coarse the sand was out there. kinda jacked my paddles up.
  25. im not trying to pull 6th up a hill at 90mph. i know what your saying i need more mid range torque to pull 6th. which is understandable. im happy with the pipes, i got them planning on porting and building a 421 in the future. im pretty light and am a decent rider i beat most 4- stroke 450s by 2 or 3 bike lengths up olds hill in glamis...im gearing down in the front 1 tooth hoping to use more of my gears. its all about trial and error and i was just trying to be pointed in the right direction.
