  1. Hello, everyone. My shee is a 2006 all stock motor. I have just reached about 20 hours of ride time on it. I have had to adjust the idle 4 times now. I have ALL the TORS crap disconnected, but the TORS units are still on the carbs and so they adjust the idle. Yesterday makes the 4th time I have had to adjust the idle higher to get it to idle without stalling out. Otherwise, it is running absolutely great. Also, I ran 2-R at 24:1 for my first two tanks. Now I am running my first tank of Bel Ray MC-1 premix at 40:1. It seems to run well on this. Crisper throttle response and way less smokey! So, is it normal to have to adjust the idle higher this much during break in? I have turned the idle screws 1 full revolution farther in from where they started off the show room floor. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
  2. Anybody else? Also, I will have to purchase some main jets. With stock motor and stock airbox can I expect to start with 260 to 300 mains? I am about 3500 ft in TN, so its warm and humid. Thanks.
  3. Thanks, guys. Anyone else have experience with them? Are they ridiculiously loud like Toomeys? Is there a difference in how the power comes on between aliens and 916 exhaust? I know the pipes are the same, what effect does the muffler(s) have?
  4. Hello, everyone. While I try to make up my mind on my a arms set up, I am also debating which pipe to go with. I am riding trails and track, and I know PT mids are supposed to be the bomb for this, but they are too expensive and I am sort of interested in the DMCs. I am wondering what the Aliens would be like on an otherwise stock engine with a pro design uni intake system and no other mods. Is there more low end than stock? Is the powerband smooth or violent? Is there any difference in the power between aliens or the 916 muffler system? Thanks in advance for replies.
  5. None, yet. Still shopping and thinking. I am one of those agonizing buyers that has to disect, think, rethink, disect, and rethink again before I buy.
  6. Are they still for sale? I might be interested. I am in Johnson City, TN. Oh, man! I just realized the date on this topic was April, 06, NOT 07!! I am an idiot.
  7. Sounds like my kinda terms!!
  8. Well, EastCoast, since you say that I have another question! I know your front Elkas are compression adjustable piggybacks, are they ride height adjustable also? I can see from your pics the spring preload adjuster at the top, but does the ride height adjust otherwise? Thanks alot, I appreciate it.
  9. Thanks, everyone. I appreciate all your help. I think I will be ordering a set of +3+1 LSR a arms soon!
  10. Thanks, eastcoast. If I can ask one more question, what color are your a arms? They are not silvervein, but do not look black either. Is is a hammertone (spelling) shade or what?
  11. Thanks, EastCoast. I have been checking your shee out, it is wicked!! I have been trying to narrow my choices on a arms down. With what you say about no spindle reaming with the LSR racing a arms, I may be going with some +3+1 like yours. Are you happy with them and the dual rate elkas? Any regrets or complaints? Thanks for your help!!
  12. I need to have the plus 1" forward, so that knowck the Laegers out. Does anyone know if the LSR racing a arms require spindle reaming?
  13. Your probably right. Thanks for the help everyone.
  14. I thought they may be worth getting if it eases tire changing. Right now, I have a set of new 20X11X9 Razrs and am deciding whether to put them on the stock rims, which will require removing the stock tires, or getting some beadlocks and mounting them on them.
  15. Sweet! Are you happy with them? Which elkas do you have? Are they double rate, comp adjust, rebound? Do you have any other pics of your shee with them?
  16. Are you saying you can do this yourself with beadlocks, or with conventional wheels like my OEM stock banshee wheels? How? I have heard of breaking the bead with 2X4 and weight, but then how do you get the bead over and off the lip of the wheel?
  17. Hello, everyone. I am considering some douglas beadlocks. i am wondering how hard it is to change tires on these compared to regular wheels. What steps and tools are involved? Thanks for your advice.
  18. Are your LT laegers +2+1 or just +2 wider. Thanks for your help!
  19. Does anyone know? Burgard, Laeger, Lonestar? I know it would not be hard to ream spindles, but it is almost the principle. For what a arms cost, they could provide ball joints that fit your standard spindles on whichever brand of ATV you own. Thanks in advance for advice. I have searched and not found any clear answer on who doesnt require spindle reaming.
  20. If I do go with +2+1 and standard length shocks, are LSR a arms good? Also, who makes ball joints that do not require spindle reaming? Where is the best price i can get on elka shocks? Will my stock brake lines work with +2+1 arms? Thanks, everyone.
  21. Thanks for all the input so far everyone. Man, I really dont know what to do! I know that I will not gain any real travel with LT set up as far as WHEEL travel, but wont the longer shock travel and having triple rate allow the shocks to be valved better, and allow them to soak up bumps, jumps, etc smoother?
  22. Anybody else? I am hoping i go the right way because of the expense.
  23. Thanks, guys. I hope someone will post with riding experience and hopefully owner experience with the Janssen LT package. With what it will cost to buy some new quality made +2+1 arms and tie rods, then comp adjustable dual rate elka shocks, and finally +2 brake lines I could almost have the LT package anyway from what I have seen of prices.
  24. Thanks, burleybanshee. Yeah, the G force axle seems like the best bang for the buck and warranty for me. Man, I hope I do not ever crack the frame!! It sounds like you guys are satisfied the quality of the Janssen arms and swinger are good.
  25. Thanks, Hollister. I have looked at several threads and pics of your shee. I am looking at some of the same mods, eventually. A -1 or -2 swinger is definitely in my future. I am thinking of maybe a round housing LSR swinger. I am also considering a DMC 916 or PT mids for a good all around exhaust someday. I like the toomeys and all, but the ones i have heard are LOUD, and I want more low end/mid than the T5 offers, but still keep as much or more top end than stock. How do you like your DMC 916? How loud is it compatred to FMF, Toomey, etc? I guess I should be asking those questions in another topic forum. Did you MX tech a arms and elkas help you out in jumps, landings, confidence in your bike? What shock are you running on the rear? Thanks for your suggestions.
