  1. Upp makes boots but I alwa end up making custom brackets and moving box back a tad to relieve the pressure a lil

  3. Good starting point would be a 175 main ,55 pilot,4th clip on needle.
  4. Your tester leads could be a lil funky, touch lead to lead and see what number pops up
  5. Any porting that would lower the static
  6. Can't go by those plugs if you idled around or putted on them, water in the cover will do it, it will short the pickup and windings, I would pull flywheel scotchbrite everything and figure out the water issue
  7. I also do like nology, easier starts and I feel a difference in low and mid power while putting around
  8. Some machines I tune do require a diffrent needle to get me happy on the mid , might wanna try toomey needle if u can't get desired results with oem

  10. Take ohm meter put one lead where spark plug goes, one in the screw end that touches the wire, you should get same reading as if you touched the two leads together . If you get a reading cap is going bad
  11. How many ohms did it show, low or high in the spectrum
  12. I run a parts unlimited boot with the wire clamps, I order them from fast racing 20 at a time. Every bike I work on needs them . I built close to 15 bikes year and one coil out of all of them didn't need boots
  13. Return it, get a hotrods long rod crank, wiseco 795 series Pistons, cometic spacer plate for the head gasket side and you can use ur stock head, there's many options but not sure how hard it is to get parts. I'm almost 100% that fast racing will ship u whatever you need
  14. I run zero ohm caps and br8es , some caps like ngk are 5 ohm caps that's why u need to be careful on what caps you buy and plugs used

  16. Sounds like a 250r, have you done a plug chop
  17. Turn dial to resistance, put leads cap to cap and you should get 4-7 kohm. If u don't get a solid reading pull plug caps off and check wire to wire with no caps you should see the diffrence
  18. Check flywheel n pick up n stator, I alwa start at the source
  19. Ohm your plug caps and cool I'll bet they don't test good
  20. And as far as top guys , IMO there is no one top guy all the good guys are pretty even and as mike stated its set up after that
  21. #1 check compression #2 leakdown test #3 switch spark plug wires and see if the problem travels with coil wires You could have developed an air leak so make sure you leakdown test it before you continue to ride it and blow it up
