Out of curiosity what reeds are u running and what's the condition. Reeds that lost tension or are sticky can cause some funky issues -

Mr banshee-you need to listen to what certain people are saying , you are pounding jetting suggestions at this kid and it's not relavent to his problem. We appreciate your help but if there's a real issue he will burn it down listening to you. Jmadd has it pretty under control -
Leave the original, that bike has zero hours on it and the oem is more than fine for your riding style. . I'll take care of the install just bring the parts .

The reason i said don't ride till you leak down, you run the risk of burning it down every time you run it -

I've been up around 205 ported on a few. Do the leak down before u continue to ride -
Plus any ohms test is reliant on stated temp in manual. I've also had them test good but be bad.

He has reg pwks. I would like him to start at 178 main 55 pilot, dgh 4th clip . Some 10s I've tuned cam in at 162 main others 175ish

No need to twist what I'm saying. I put together whatever the customer wants to pay for, I give my opinion but sometimes there's no talking to people. That being said I've put together at least a dozen engines with wang cranks and have a zero failure rate . Do I suggest it no, would you find one on my bike no. I will tell you I've seen more billet crank failures than any others.

Most crank issues arnt even crank issues, installer error 95% of the time.

Two Sphinx PV cylinders on banshee bottom

They've been using lever controlled pv set ups on skis for a while , you might wanna check that Ave out . I've seen them on gp1300r set up for the snakes -

So this guy said he had to make a new jig or your assuming he does? When I made my swing arm jig it was fully adjustable offset wise and length wise that's why I'm not getting why you would need all same length. A arm jigs are even easier if you can find a junk frame for cheap, and again I made it adjustable from -3 to +4 -

I'll be down after my kids are out of college -
Do you have a stethoscope, if so it helps. Could be a lot of things. Does tone change when you pull clutch in? Piston to cylinder wall clearance? Does motor have air leak causing deto knock? What Pistons were used? I've seen machine shops that are used to dealing with automotive shit run the piston to cylinder clearance at .008 and it made same noise. I've seen same noise from collapsed skirts from leaking head/deto issue and overheating

Call k+t racing, to my knowledge they have the most experience with those carbs

You would be misguided to think dropping a 4 mill unported would yield any power. My stock stroke ported bikes whoop up on 4 mills quite often. As a matter of fact I talk some customers into staying stock stroke if they like a easy revving power plant
-
I get very similar output outta stock stroke porting as I do outta 4mil . If your top end is good I suggest porting the jugs as they are. If it was me doing the work I would port them to the point they could still be used for a 4ml in the future to give you flexibility. You would instantly double hp for around $350 with gaskets/orings

Gotcha, didn't look that close, what about a small lithium battery with battery tender leads so u can plug in wherever, only benefit with the way it is , is having extra charged batteries waiting
-
Why not run a reg battery set up wit a doc stator n charging system. The small Li batteries are light and easy to fit
-
Unfortunately the set up is too expensive for 99% of the banshee community. That's the main reason no one fucks with it from a business standpoint. Builders cater to customer wants and most want cheap, do I think there's a need for a aftermarket ignition system in the asphalt community , he'll yeh. Most guys can't comprehend the effects of timing as you progress down the track . If I never played with street bikes in a drag platform I wouldn't know either but we see major gains with the rite tune, I also have seen an 8sec bike run 10s with the wrong tune
-
That's funny shit green , I live rite by the jones inlet most of my customers are stand up guys that do freestyle in the ocean and I do a lot of gp1300 , I've got the gps down to a science . Dealing with marine people is very different , they don't bat an eyelash at a $1200 port job where atv guys bitch about $300
-
Simple, get a new carb body , they're dirt cheap these days
-
Tricked, do you have any better pictures of the valves side by side. I'll pm you my cell and email if you wanna share I would be very interested in seeing the amount of machine work necessary to a proper fitment . I cut my teeth on pwc and still work on quite a few. The power output on pwc twin is awesome and on point as soon as you touch the throttle.
