  5. What you might have seen was the tips from Toomey's hush kit, without the extra silencer in the middle. They are curved, if you were to take the extra silencer and toss it, and turn them down...prob solved. Or the exhaust shop like suggested above. This route is probably cheaper.
  6. U say it allready has pipes? But your not sure what they are....Can you post a pic? Maybe we can help determine what they are.

  8. Have it sand blasted by someone w/ a good set-up, then get u a spray set-up (good ones are not cheap!) have the color you like mixed up, get all the needed addatives, and spray away....

  11. Remember porting is like most anything else, you get what u pay for!! If it was me, I would save a little more then send my cyl's to a reputable builder, that does the port work for YOUR type of riding. Call Jim at Passion Racing Engines 918-232-3950, his prices are comparable, and the work is top notch!

  13. My builder says ditch them as well, the only advantage I see to runnion them is if you have clearence probs with your big carbs. But then again, aftermarket intakes usually sure that problem as well.

  15. 2 hours w/ stock jetting? No wonder it lost power....rebuild time!
  16. Ran a 4.55 in the 300 ft, stock stroke, stock port, CPI's (open stingers) Stock carbs bored to 29mm's then converted, +6 etc etc
  17. YOU WILL NOTICE A LARGE DIFFERENCE! I think it took about 1.5-1.75 tenths or so off my ride when I switched, but it will be more for some, less for some- depending on mods and tuning. Whats your mods?

  20. I put a shoe box behind the seat, and slighty stretched a bungee cord from one fender to another, left it over night. Usually did it 2-3 nights a mo, kept em up pretty good. I know, its hillbilly, but works!
  21. Alot of the mx guys preffer -1 or -2 for traction. I am sure they will chime in here....
  22. The only downfall to lettin it idle to long is a fouled plug...I would rather warm mine up real well and chance a fouled plug over the alternative....NEW TOP END
