  1. how long does it take to turn the top of the porcelin(towards electrode) a chocolate brown? To determine jetting without doing a plug chop? 10-15 minutes or a few hours of riding?
  2. Anyone got a picture of both plugs after a day of riding? Mine are gray.....I have no chocolate color on the base ring. I have been messing with my jetting and can't seem to get it right. My plug chop looks ok from the pics I have seen on here. Anyone have a pic of both plugs after a day or few hours of riding? Thanks.
  3. ok that would sound right but I don't even have a brown ring on the very top flat ring on the threads. It is just silver, but there is oil residue on the first couple threads. The 2 mm ring is like a gray/brown color. After I run my bike and just put around, I looked at my plugs after 2 days and the top of the porcelin is gray and their is still no chocolate brown/cardboard brown color on the base ring. The ground strap is burnt black from the bottom where it is welded to about half way up the bend and the rest is gray. Now I am thinkin this might be lean. I mean it really picked up throttle response when I went to the 3rd clip from the blunt end on the Toomey needles. I almost am thinkin to try 300 mains. But doesn't the pilot give me the brown ring on the top of the porcelin and base ring? Help me out.
  4. Drop that pilot down from 30 to the stock 25 pilot or go up to 27.5 depending on your air filter setup. check the crossover choke tube between the carbs and make sure your carb caps are screwed down tight.
  5. click on these links to see the pics of my plug chop. kinda blurry Left Plug Chop Right Plug Chop
  6. I did a plug chop after I did a 1/4 -1/2 mile WOT run on my SHEE. I had about a 3-4mm tall dark brown ring on my porcelin on both plugs. But it stalls when I am shifting through gears only 4-6th gear. Now, 1-3rd pulls hard wheelies and the initial start is good without revving it out. Almost feels like it is bogging. But, when I open up every gear in 5th & 6th, the gear is short and raps out fast. It is revving but doesn't have any harder pull(RPMS). I need advice... Here are my mods & elev/temp. 900-1000 ft elevation 75-90 degrees(F) 32:1 Yamalube(93 octane) Toomey T5's 290 main / 27.5 pilot(1.75 turns) / Toomey needle(3rd from blunt end---was 4th) K&N filter and outerwear w/ proflow adapter / no airbox lid / holes in airbox Noss machine 21cc cool head V-force 3 reed cages Boonman! lightened flywheel +4 advanced timing Ricky Stator plate TORS removed
  7. Ok, first of all I sent my flywheel off on April 13th and still haven't heard anything from boonman. Anyone know him personally or can tell him I am waiting on a reply on what is going on? I sent my money and flywheel to him to lighten with a return address attached. If anyone can get a hold of him another way, can they tell him one of his customers is waiting. It has been 11 days since I sent it off and spoke with him. I don't know if he is busy or his computer exploded? Well, any help would be appreciated. Also, if I get the flywheel back does anyone know any easy way to install it? Keith
  8. $10 money order shipped anywhere. Never used, still in the renthal package when ordered. I also have the stock Dunlop front tire on a ITP T9 10" wheel in good condition for $20 shipped. Around 50% tread left and no patches or plugs in the tires and no dents or bends in the rim.
  9. $10 for sprocket $200 for +2 swingarm Both have never been use, Still with stickers on them, never touched!!!
  10. I have 2 items that were never used on my 06 Banshee. I have: 13t Front Renthal Hardened steel Sprocket +2 Chrome Powdercoated Swingarm from Swingarmshop(eBay) w/ skidplate brackets
  11. I am going for a +2 extended swingarm because, i want to keep the front end down. I ride alot of gravel roads and logging trails where I can open it up. and when you are coming up a small hill, the front end seems to come up alot. I need a longer stance to keep the front end down. Or am I wrong?
  12. I have a PRM swingarm skidplate that covers the rear linkage for the shock. Will it fit on the +2 Swingarm from "Swingarmshop" on ebay? Also, I am getting +2 rear braided brakelines and a X-ring chaing but "what size"? I am using the stock axle and carrier but a different locking nut. Should this be all I need? Thanks
  13. my plugs are really dark and not a cardboard brown or golden color. I am gonna try 290 mains since I have no lid w/ K&N and proflow adapter. I will see what happens after the plug chop.
  14. I run 300 mains & 27.5 pilots with T5's, K&N filter w/ proflow adapter, & no lid. It seems like when I hit 6th gear, it isn't there like 1st - 5th. I can't shift into 6th if I am cruisin up a hill, cause it doesn't have the pull. It will bog down. Maybe jetted to high?
  16. I purchased a 13 tooth front Renthal sprocket for my 06 Shee. I only used it a few hours yesterday. I wasn't happy with it because, I ride logging trails, gravel roads, and hills. I like the top end more. If anyone is interested in this sprocket, PM me or e-mail me at [email protected]. $12 shipped. - 13T front Rental sprocket
  17. I received my silver Pro-Taper SE handlebars. They fit great, CR-high bend is different but I might grow to like it, haven't drove it enough yet. I am waiting on my Hide-A-Key kit from Modquad.com. I bought a Moose 7/8" bar clamp from www.denniskirk.com.
  18. I like that handlebar clamp. Where did you find it? How much is this?
  19. I recently bent my stock handlebars and I am getting Pro-Taper SE handlebars CR-High bend style. Will my stock clamps work or will I have to go with R.I.S. designs, Cascade, or an Ebay clamp? If I do which is the best clamp to go with? Cascade clamp? I am looking to relocate my key also.
  20. My shee leaks gas out of the left carb if the gas stays on. I have a moose rebuild kit but can't figure out how to remove the float. Or how do I remove the old needle/seat? Does it just snap off that rod that it is on? Or do I push the rod out of the side and then falls the float? I am confused on how to do this. Everything else has been cleaned and replaced except for this. Thanks. Keith
  21. I will take best offer. Exhaust collars are new and grille was used for 2 days. No need for this stuff. I have pics if you want to see, I can e-mail you.
  22. I followed the full directions to remove the TORS. Everything was cleaned, deburred, etc. After it is warmed up it doesn't want to idle, it just chugs like it is gonna die and sometimes does. i adjusted the idle screw all the way in and even tried threadin them out some. Still nothin. I guess I need to adjust the screw on top more? Also, which idle screw goes on which carb? One of them that came with the kit is fully threaded to the base where you use a flat head and the other is threaded 3/4 of the way.
  23. I installed the TORS removal kit today. I filed the piece down flat first, then drilled the holes, then made the threads, and noticed that the idle screws are different. One is threaded all the way to the head and the other is threaded almost all the way. Which one goes on what carb? I think I got it right and sync'd the carbs. I cleaned everything in this process: carbs, filter, airbox, reeds(checked them also). Well, when I started it back up it started smokin out the right pipe. I did have a problem with the left carb leaking gas but I rebuilt it, nothing with the right side. This is a new 2006 model also. Well, I see on the forums it could be a crank seal, but I am not losing any oil that I can tell from the dipstick. My right tail pipe has oil residue on it and the left is clean. 06 Shee Black w/ Purple Tribal Flames T5's (300 mains & dynojet needles 4th from blunt end) Noss Machine Cool head w/ 21cc domes TORS removed w/ idle screws V-force 3's K&N w/ proflow adapter outerweared(no lid) PRM skid plate 20x11x10 Turf Tamers on .160 Douglas rims
  24. I have the stainless T5 exhaust collars never used and a stainless grille(slotted) for sale. I will take $30 shipped for the exhaust collars OBO. I will take $20 shipped for the Grille. I will e-mail pics upon request.
