  1. I have seen stock pistons with cracked and broken skirts. It was because the machine was waaay overdue for a rebuild. Any real 2 stroke rider knows to keep tabs on their comp. to know when it is time to to a rebuild. I run the S.S. pistons and they DO make more power. Especially if you consider that I spent the extra $80 for these pistons and gained about as much power as when I bolted on the Trinity head. Talk all the $h!t you want then ask the 20+ riders I just smoked today, Black Friday, and last Sun.
  2. I have them. Vito's performance makes them. They definately make a difference. I don't think as much as a real port job, but if you only have enough cash for a rebuild now and porting the following rebuild, then i'd say it's worth it. Here's some info on them: http://www.atvsource.com/articles/product_...ock_pistons.htm Here is Vito's website: http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/home.php Good luck.
  3. I read to add 2 links for every 2 teeth added. Good luck
  4. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
  5. DMC 916 for me baby!! Never saw a Shee with the Trinity exhaust but they make good stuff so either way I don't think you'll be disapointed. Good luck. <----------------------------
  6. 14/41 for the gearing. In my opinion when you do replace, replace both sprockets and chain and start over fresh. Sprockets are sprockets and should last the life of the chain. For the chain, however, look for one with a tensile strength better then 7,500 lbs. I personally don't like o-ring chains because as the seals wear out, they tend to hold dirt and mud in behind the o-ring and seize the chain up. As long as you lube the chain before riding, you're good with a non o-ring chain. RK Racing Chain offers "pre-stretched" chains to ensure minimal maintenance. Primary Drive seems to be a good value and can be found at Rocky Mountain ATV*MC. Good luck.
  7. Just my opinion but I don't understand why everyone preferes to go shorter on the gears when first gear is almost useless in stock form. 15/41 for me and love it. I use my Shee for everything. Just this past Sun. I rode 15+ deep in the Berlin/ Medford area and did some jumping, trail riding, street cruising, and some sweet 10 wide sand drags and my setup did not let me down in any area.
  8. Sounds normal to me. Don't all 2 strokes do that when you FIRST start riding them? Usually it means that the machine hasn't fully warmed up. Every 2 stroke that i've rode did that. I just granny shift and take it easy till she warms the rest of the way up.
  9. Everyone makes mistakes. That's why there's erasers on pencils. In AMERICA, there's freedom of speech. If you don't like it, MOVE OUT! Being called a cracker is a racial slur and should be taken as seriously as the word nigger, chink, spick, etc... All white people are not proud of what some did in the past, thus offended. Nobody, no matter what the circumstances, is supposed to take any shit from anyone. Kramer did what he did because he is only human. He made a mistake. He excercised his freedom of speech. He was offended. And he defended his pride. Anyone who objects to what he did is a hypocrite or has never popped his head out of his/her protective bubble untill now. Things like this happen all the time. It's only when someone points it out and and cries racist that things get blown out of proportion. Now, his life and career is ruined because of doing something that every other human being with pride in theirself would do in his situation. Besides, his career is to entertain. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? This thread would not exist if you weren't...
  10. It kinda looks like a Duncan Racing bumper.
  11. Try Vito's super stock forged pistons. They're a weisco piston specially "cut" to Vito's specs to increase airflow. I got them for my bike and raced my friend with the same mods as me except he has 34mm carbs and he CANNOT catch me. They sell for $219.95 and come with all the gaskets, pins, rings, and bearings necessary to do the install. I can honestly say they DO make more power. Here is more info. http://www.atvsource.com/articles/product_...ock_pistons.htm Here is their website. http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/home.php Good luck.
  12.
  13. Raz'r 21/7/10 Front. Raz'r II 20/11/9 Rear. It's what I got and is stock tire size. P.S. Changing tire size on the rear will change your gearing.
  14. Got a 89 pickup 22re on 33"s. Tuff lil truck. Gotta love them 'yoda's
  15. Need I say more. I know i'm gonna get it for this. Just so you know, I really don't care what you ride. As long as you're out there having fun, you're cool with me.
  16. Sorry, don't have any pics. Towards the crank, mounted on the frame, one goes just above the upper chain, and one goes just under the lower part of the chain. The lower chain actually rolls on the lower roller. The upper roller only touches the chain when the rear suspension is compressed. Hope that helps out. Good luck.
  17. FOR NOW ON, YOUR NAME WILL BE SALLY!!!! Just kidding. I like mine shiny too.
  18. Without a doubt, the 450's are definately the hottest quads out. Bone stock, they're bad a$$. I now ride with some younger guys with 450's every weekend cause my Banshee friends would rather ride their girlfriends and pop out kids. Girls are fun to ride, but like the Shee, I wear a helmet. That's why i'm still riding today. :yelrotflmao: I wouldn't go as far as saying the Banshee's day is over. You can't beat the scream and arm ripping power of a Banshee. 4 strokes sound like $hit and are boring to ride. "Wow. You can do a wheelie from a standstill. " Big whoop.
  19. Try the third link. Scroll down a bit. It's the second graph.
  20. With your mods, first gear is a waste of time. Try going +1 on the crank sprockett. The longer gears help control wheelspin. What I do to get a wheelie goin is I get a rolling start in either second or third just under powerband. While you're rolling dump the clutch and you should be on two wheels in a sec. <----------- Thats third on the beach of the Delaware River
  21. What do I use it for? Stress relief. Better then doing this. :: Where? Anywhere in Jersey where I can get away with doing it.
  22. Definately exhaust first. Shaving the head is cheap power. Adjustable timing plate from Ricky Stator ($35 buckeroos) is good. Tune the machine with the airbox lid off is good for a hp or two. DO NOT GET A BOOST BOTTLE!! WASTE OF MONEY!! (but it looks cool) Reeds are great for throttle response. Of corse porting will make big power, but can be pricey and should wait till rebuild time to save $$$. I went with Vito's Super Stock forged pistons (porting without the price) during rebuild time and It definately made a difference. Carbs will make top end power but should wait till porting cause it will kill low end. Good luck.
  23. Most of your exhaust questions answered here. Weird how the stock exhaust compares! Wonder how everything changes when you add other bolt-ons? http://www.angelfire.com/extreme2/yambansh...s/pipeinfo.html http://www2.freepichosting.com/Images/421536787/9.jpg http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21229 This should be in the FAQ section. Don't yell at me if it is. I didn't check yet.
  24. Stay with the stock setup for now till you put more parts on your bike. Once you make more power and 1st gear becomes a waste, then step it up. I stepped up after I put pipes, reeds and K&N/Outerwares with the lid off.
  25. I was stuck between Raz'r II's and Holeshot HD's. They look like a very good tire as well. The Raz'r's look almost too outrageous but I also have a Toyota on 33"s and I know the bigger the lug, the better the traction. They're worth every penny.
