  1. Best way to hook that switch up is to run a splice off your stock kill switch wires on the CDI side of the circuit. The only thing that switch does is ground out the CDI, which kills your spark. Get a wiring diagram for your shee and trace the wire back from the kill switch. If I remember correctly, it's the black wire with a white stripe. Run one side of the switch to that wire, and the other side of the switch to a good ground on the frame. I hooked up the same switch on mine. I have aftermarket carbs, and got rid of all the tors crap.
  2. If you want to change from stock to allen set, ebay's prolly the cheapest way to go.
  3. Just what the title says. I only need one reverse thread rod end, but I wouldn't mind a deal on a stock set, either.
  4. I have a stock milled head, a set of front brake pads to fit your year(87-89 is different), and stock shocks(probably best to be rebuilt)
  5. A miss at WOT could be a bit too lean of a main jet. Pulling old plugs wouldn't tell you much of anything. Take into account the change in conditions on the second day. I always look to carbueration befofe ignition, just more typical to have problems there.
  6. I've seen the chokes not operate properly, even if it does pull out.
  7. They're probably stock. My stock shocks are a pink-ish color. should be pretty easy to identify.
  8. Domes can be cut for a stroker, I'm sure Noss either has them, or can make them for you.
  9. I'd go with a noss head and run 22 domes, which are basically stock size. You can go up in the future if you choose to later. Only cooling would be improved wtih 22s, definetely not a bad thing.
  10. So you'd be talking about your air filter/filters. Man, that all depends on your carbs. You gotta measure them to find out. That's the only filter I know of kid.
  11. I agree, you'd be doing a bottom end carb setup with a top end port.
  12. Sold, PM me and let me know how to pay.
  13. That's some funny shit.
  14. Like Wallrat said, for what kind of riding? It really depends on that before you decide what to do next. Port and polish, yes, but for what range. Then you might wanna change your intakes and go with different carbs(getting rid of the boost bottle in the process), but which ones depends on the powerband you're looking for and the portwork done. Change your crank and stroke it maybe.... There really isn't any one definite way to set up a shee', it all depends on you and what you want.
  15. If you search, there's a few pics on here of stock cylinders and ported ones next to it. I think it's under a post about Eric Gorr porting and a 4 mil stroker setup, only a few days old I believe. Check it out and then look at your intake on the jugs. Chances are, if there are a lot of bolt ons you can see, and 34s on it, it's been at least mildly ported. Let us know bro.
  16. I think maybe he means mixes the gas back up, as it may seperate when sitting for a while.
  17. Interested in rear wheels/tires, fronts also, Pics please. [email protected]
  18. Check out this site, should give you an overview http://eindiancompanies.com/howto/LockupClutch.html
  19. I have a set of ohtsu pro wedge (22x10.0x9) on ITP rims. Would seperate the rims and tires if ya want. I also have a set of Scat trak taller haulers(21x10.0x10) on quadracer 5lug rims.
  20. If I were to send mine out to get ported, I would wait for top end rebuild time. That way you could have them ported, then bored and put it all back together with a nice new set of rings and pistons. I would probably go with a coolhead, reeds and adjustable timing plate(not sure if you have a key). That way you could get some power now by bumping timing and compression, and can still go any way you want with porting later while using the parts you already bought. It's what I would do in your shoes. It really all depends on how much money you are willing to throw at you quad. Good luck
  21. I could benefit from this, I'm in the same boat right now. I was gonna go to my local NAPA or Ace hardware and see what I can find, I just haven't made it there yet.
  22. Bump for an honest seller with nice parts. Got the shock, thanks.
  23. May sound stupid, but is fuel flowing into the right carb bowl? If it is, is the float set right?
  24. bump
