  1. just curious but isnt the sprocket a 33mm socket, same as the clutch nut as well?
  2. says nothing on the crank as far as I know, maybe jay saw something but i doubt it
  3. I was over this guys place putting his shee back together from ground up and it is odd how his jugs are sitting. I personally dont know if he has a 4mill or long rod but what I can tell you for sure is he had the stock heads on there and maybe 1 size over pistons if that (cant remember the size piston right now). He got this stage 3 set up off of a kid who really doesnt seem to know much as well. All the info he could give was it worked with his set up. The jugs are ported pretty hard and it looks like a good job but with the pistons in place they are coming out of the jugs some. It could be a 4mill by the way the pistons are coming out of the jugs but I just dont see it being that, especially when I know where the bike came from and I know it was mostly stock before the swap plus the stock jugs being on there. It would be great if there was an easy way to tell what the crank is to make it easier to solve this issue.
  4. where you located at?
  5. wish you were closer, would love to get another R, had an 86 as my first quad, loved that thing. Good luck on the sale
  6. lol if you eat a handful of xanax alone you wont even remember riding, hell I cant even remember Sat night because of them damn things
  7. Damn jay, no one interested in these pipe??? These pipes are in good condition and perform pretty damn well consideringJay doesnt have much done to his bike. A steal at the price, bump for ya bro!!!
  8. AZ is def one of the states that can be for on road use, mine getting checked out in 2 weeks for all the crap to pass. Although I dont plan on hitting the major highways with it. Heres some fat dude on a quad I was stopped behind at a light.....
  9. damn man that just sucks, i have been out of work for a few months now due to cut backs. I originally got cut on the east cost because we had to downsize our office and came out west where we had another office which guaranteed there was a ton of work. Yeah right, I made less so it was done. Kinda odd though you mentioned country wide because they just contacted me about a job. They said they weren't hiring right this second because they are changing how there program works but it should be in the near future and they want me to come in. lol. I recently just got a new job that is awesome, still learning the main stuff but if interested I may be able to have a team under me, normally base of $25-30k plus commission which each commission ranges from 10k+ each sale. I will keep my ear out, the more people I can get the more money there is to be made. Oh and I hope you like bars because thats where you will spend your time with clients.
  10. didnt do an orange frame but i pc'D mine black with upper a-arms chevy orange and swinger the same color. Kept it fairly simple but still looks goods.
  11. Does it REV up but not go anywhere? If so you fried your clutch most likely. How big was the hill you came back down and did you pull the clutch is when coming down?
  12. what size main jet do you have in there? I had two warriors back in the day and I had issues with the float height a lot which also caused some symptoms you are talking about. At WOT the bowl would almost drain out causing it to die out till the RPM's dropped and the fuel could keep up. Also could be timing or several other things but the float levels were my main problems when I owned my warriors.
  13. where do you ride with those elevations? Cinders? According to your location your in Mesa, at thats around 1100ft? Just curious cause I live in mesa as well.
  14. your mains will have no affect on starting. If you are getting air/fuel/spark could be you need a richer pilot circuit, or you could try turning you A/F screws in a 1/2 turn or so. But I'm also guessing since you blew a gasket and coolant was going everywhere that you have coolant in your bottom end and its not allowing the bike to fire up as you are soaking the plugs upon kicking it over.
  15. Yeah kinda jumped the gun on the brand and 2into1 but thats what I meant.
  16. do you have any idea what your compression is? 91 octane doesnt seem right for a stroker motor....
  17. first I would say go back to the 320's at least, even though sound small but I wouldnt stay under the 300 mark for jetting. COuld prob bump up the pilot as well and mess with the needle. I would check the float levels and clean the carbs out real well again and keep trying. What octane you running as well with your mix? Def go over your Electrical stuff as well, could be an ign coil or something, dealt with an issue like that before. Also do you have all the switches on the bars still? I have seen the kill switch get crimped and ground out.
  18. he had a 2into1 K&N before, would there be that much of a difference with the POD set-up? Also with the high heat and humidity doesnt that also help cause a rich condition? My buddy has basically the exact set-up besides the +4 timing and I think he's at 320 mains 27.5 pilots and needle in the middle. Were out here in AZ, a little hotter here with less humidity. Also not sure how much truth this holds to it but with after market needles I heard you sometimes need drop the main a little because of the taper of the needle. It would actually allow more fuel in that a stock needle due to how the taper is skinnier towards the bottom. Like I said I have no clue if this is true or not.
  19. just curious but if the clutch was perfect when it came out why would there be any issues going back in?
  20. what fuel you running? Whats the other jetting, pilots etc? And what exactly happened when it died when you were riding?
  21. it really sucks going through all these process's to figure it out but your learning. I have done it numerous times and still post questions like this even though I know what should be going on. At least go up on the main jet, but you should def see where you stand with all the others setting as well like the pilot and needles, etc.
  22. sounds like not enough fuel, go up on the mains, maybe drop a clip on the needle. Could be float levels but doubt it. WHy are you running stock carbs with your set up?
  23. have you hit up that pred site yet? They have a whole section dedicated to the outlaws plus a few others like pic/vids. Also do you have the different color needles I keep reading about? Looks like a lot of people are actually a little lower than you on the main but the needle is sitting in the 5th clip.
  24. Not to sure about my pred then, but I have ridden 450's as well and I was just stating my opinion on what I have dealt with. No big deal though, and yes the pred was very easy going when ripping through the woods. Maybe mine was a freak then but who's to say I guess, maybe it was just the terrain and I had better hook-up, dont know. I did however always like the stance of my pred.
