Im not sure about a ball bearing on the clutch lever??? can you please go into a bit more detail?? Im open to all suggestions. Thanks again everyone!!! this is a great site and shows what a forum is supposed to be like. it looks like banshee owners are pretty cool people. I am surprised at how many replies I have received for my first post. Other sites would have pointed me to the service manual, and called me a noob. thanks again.

thanks for all the replies.... Im not sure if the tranny fluid we used is synthetic or not, but we definitely soaked the discs. As for the locknut on the clutch assembly, it was definitely torqued down, everything was. But the specs are questionable. I think the manual I read showed to torque the locknut down to somewhere between 5-7 pounds, I cant remember off the top of my head. can someone please verify the torque specs on the the spring bolts and the locknut??? thanks again.

My friend did not know what fluids to buy since this is his first quad. So the people at our local shop told him the best stuff to use iis Motul 2-stroke transmission fluid...so thats what he brought back.

Hey everyone. I just replaced the clutch on my friends 05 shee. I adjusted the clutch down under the carb and the clutch lever felt firm/great. After doing some riding today, we noticed that the clutch lever at times will go loose and not disengage the clutch. then after riding a bit, the clutch will work again. this happened a few times today. We tried to adjust the free play at the lever and we were able to tighten it but with the adjustment screw all the way out. After some riding the clutch got loose again. Can someone please help me fix this?? P.S. what are the tourqe numbers on the locknut at the clutch discs.
