Only 3 of them were Shee's only one had fat bars. On the last one I had before I bought the 05, we machined out our own mount for fitting over fat bars. I also welded on a longer mounting tube for the brass plug to go into. I wish now I would have swaped that setup for the one on the 05 before I sold it. These factory bars are, well factory bars.

I have had Scotts on four different quads and one bike they work great for me. What would be the advantage to change?

Most of Tennessee is between 300-900ft above sea level.

Your kidding right? do you really think there is enough aero-dynamic forces to make the front end light at this low of speed? The fenders dont even have a lifting shape. Drag yes lift no way...

Ruger does make a few fine weapons and some junk as well. There std rifle barrels are junk. And yes I will hear how they are great from some shooters but any one that is after very small groups will not be happy with them. But props to any one that buys a new gun. What ever the brand I am glad to see it posted here. LET FREEDOM RING

How important is new motor break in?
Old Two-Smoke replied to midknight's topic in General Banshee Discussion
On a complete teardown I have always done a good warmup and let it cool all the way down. Warm it up again ride it about 15 min going through all the gears making it work but not over reving it. Let it cool retorque and check for any leaks then I run it hard but never hold it wide open for more than three or four seconds at a time, I let it cool after an hour. And repeat the process for the first 3-4 hours. Change the transmission oil, always let it warm up good then I ride it like Im mad at it. Knock on wood I have never had a failure And they are right .......jetting is everything -
WHICH QUAD IS YOUR FAVORITE
Old Two-Smoke replied to banshee#1's topic in General Banshee Discussion
And all these years I thought there was only one Banshee -
There is quite a bit more to av gas than just lead. The vapor pressure is alot different than car gas. As well as the hydo carbons It also is final filtered much smaller than other fuel. 100LL is blue, how we tell if we have a contamination problem before takeoff is checking the color. If it is mixed with another fuel it turns clear. I love this feature for use in the banshee All my kids know if the jug is clear it has been mixed if its blue it hasnt. Also great for us old forgetful folks as well. And the best thing, it has to remain stable for 15 months. The last meeting I attended most car gas starts breaking down after only three weeks.

On second thought he just saved me a bunch of money flying I am gonna fill one tank with Av gas and the other with pump gas soon as I get above sea level I switch over to pump gas. l

220 lbs at 3000 ft on pump gas thats a stretch

I think if someone else carrying a gun freaked you and your buddies out, you should re-think carrying one yourself. That is not the reason to carry one, most gun fights happen within 3 feet. And it is because one person freaked out the other, not because of a real threat but just because the other guy pulled a gun. I have carried for years and have been confronted by others carrying as well. I dont pull it unless I am going to use it. Just because somone else is flashing his gun and telling you how life is, dosent mean your going to die. Its a good idea in my book for you to carry one , just get some real training so you dont end up being the guy that freaked out the other, and end up dead. Just my 2 cents

Sell your current shocks, have a set of Elka shocks set up for your weight & type of riding and you will never look back.

I am going to cancel my cable. You guy's are much better entertainment!! -
If your a gear head, you will feel a differance. Timing has no effect on static compression. I run much higher compressions in the winter but its easy to keep cool. In the summer I run less just because of the heat issue. The head helps the cooling, mine runs about 5 degrees cooler. I never worry about gas I have been running 100LL/ Nitropropane/92 mix for years. Get yourself a couple sets of domes and play. You will love the head (dont we all)

Are you sure your at 500ft most of Colorado is a bit higher than that. I am at 4000 ft here in Nv. I have t5s and the the uni-filter +4 timming and I run 260 summer and 290 winter. I also run different oil ratio's winter to summer.

SWAT Team Shoots Armed Fla. 8th-Grader
Old Two-Smoke replied to Robert's topic in General Banshee Discussion
How times have changed, when I was a kid we took our guns to school often. The teacher would lock them in the closet, at the end of the day she gave them back and we hunted on the walk back home. No one ever thought they were for anything else. Maybe if the liberals wouldnt have started making guns a point of interest this stuff wouldnt happen. That swat member did his job well. The real tragedy is that he had to shoot a kid that will stay with him for the rest of his life. Hopefully this will make the next little punk decide to leave his guns at home.. -
Thats an easy one, Its a well known fact God takes care of drunks and fools.... Or maybe I have such junk no-one really wants it.

Hows your banshee at jumping?
Old Two-Smoke replied to peterlocal22's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Looking at the video, I say its the man not the machine that makes a good jumper. Jim must run Red Bull in his tank. -
Thats why your insurance rates are so high. If you learn to shoot straight it wouldn't be attempted. They would be dead!

Unless you have 3 or four spare engines and lots of unwanted money dont go there. We tried it back in 1989 the first engine ran away with itself. After building a complex shutdown system, we were able to control that. Plan on a rebuild after every two runs. Lots of fun to play with, if you want to waist all your time and $$$
-
I have had very good luck with chaining Killer to the bikes. And a 1300 Winchester loaded with 00 buck in the camper as backup. The gun leans against the trailer all day. We havent been able to teach the dog how to shoot yet, but we are still hopeful. Why waist your money on insurance when there are so many upgrades to buy. Save your money, go to the pound and pick up a Pit Bull. Oh and dont forget to learn to shoot.

That is why they went to a true Tazer, you can only fire it once.

Get taller tires for your flat work. That will give you more traction and speed for the ratio your running.
