I hate being gounded

I was just recommending a tear down, you just got the bike and you would know what you have. I always ask myself why are the sellers/traders getting rid of it. There on honest people and there are not so honest people. With a tear down now, you could save yourself a ton of money now, and if there nothing wrong with it, what did it cost you, some gaskets,seals and time?and really find out what you got. Just my 02.

You might want to pull the motor out and tear it down, mine was making a little rattling noise in the low end and it turned out to be the crank bearings. Now I had to buy a new crank. O well, stroker time.

Is it really worth the effort?

You need to give more info on why you think it is broke. Try listing your mods and all info the best you can, maybe even pics. What the bike is or is not doing and we'll try to get you on the right track.

In your original post you said it was all stock. You said nothing about pipes etc. You were asking about carb setups. Gee, my bad.

I would get pipes first and then go from there, cool head ,advance timing +4, then I would look into carbs with after market filter. just my .02

You did'nt say what kind of riding, are you going fast enough to move air through the radiator, what kind of shape is the radiator in, is it plugged? How about the water pump, is it moving coolant. Also have you thought about a cool head?
