Then have fun with your cub.Lol I rode today with a 14mm cub with STOCK swingarm. That was a scary ride.Guy launched hard of 3 gear on paveement.I loved it tho.I hope my ride is going to be as fun as his.(7mm cub on stock swinger)Wheelie time.
Go up to 15.Less shifting and a better ride imo.Wow down here EVERYONE has 17/38 16/38.Not only the strokers.I run 16/40 now and will be running 17/39 with my cub.
I was going to build a 7mm stock cylinder but then I just went with a cub.I spent around 3500.I ONLY went with the cub because my builder says cubs are more reliable.Oh yeah im going to be trail riding it too.He says cubs run alot cooler becuase they hold more water?????Dont know how true that is I dont know much bout cubs. But he trail rides his big cubs all day long.NO tight stuff everything is wide-open
I wouldnt say that its cheaper than stock cylinders. My buddy had a 7mm stock cylinder with an overide,Big carbs,Stock head on race gas and that thing ran HARD.Would beat most 4mm cubs and 5mm cubs.
I would go SB.Why not try some shearers? They pull harder on top and you can get them for 430.Thats how much I paid for a set. Then I sold them to a friend to buy some from my builder who can get me custom silencers
Tell you the truth I dont know what to believe.Because I was told by someone that was going to sell me pod filters that they dont work well with small carbs. What type of riding you do.If no mud and water then I say you get them. But If you plan on getting bigger carbs then dont waste your money until you buy carbs then run pods
