  1. I am from Australia, I agree the aprilla is a good machine (all of them). The katana is a slug, if you want comfort but a cb600 or the suzuki sv650! They are great touring bikes (mid range) I reckon for a first 'sports' bike the 400's are great. Just my 2 cents
  2. VFR400's arnt bad, they can take a beating. One of my altime favs is the rgv250, that is a fantastic bike. The R6 is toooo powerful for a beginer, I unfortunatly just sold my 03 R6. I miss it already
  3. Maybee even a rg500 motor, they are a little easier to get parts for. The only prob with this idea is that i race MX and it would make the already heavy shee heavier still, I might get a 450 then do it, if i did it that way I could use it for trail riding. Another Idea i have been thinking about, in an rgv250 motor. I already know a fair bit about them and they a a great motor.
  4. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone had atempted to put an rz500 / rd500 motor in a banshee. I would love to give it a go but donot want to waste$$$ if it does not work. Or would it be better to use a CR500 motor.

    MX Racing

When racing MX on a shee, is it better not to use the clutch? I found that at lower RPMs it is easy to change with clutch, but when going for it is easier not using the clutch. Just want to know other peoples idea on this. Glenn
  6. Mine is an '04 , and the pictures are nearly enough for me to start replacing stuff hope you get her back together soon!!!!
  7. Yesterday I competed in my first MX race on my trusty banshee. After a lot of dicing I got 3rd for the day! two 4th and one 3rd, the only bad part of the day was my mate on his 450 beat me. It was a blast. What do people believe to be the best 4 stroke quad? I am thinking about getting a 4 stroke aswell. Are the kawasaki 400's any good?
  8. I got my 2004 mdl for $6000AUD, the guy did not know what was wrong with it. It was a blocked breather hose. The shee had only been riden 6 times
  9. Last night I took my sump plus out, and out came some of the thread from the motor . Is there an easy way to fix this? I put 2 standard washers and the copper washer on the sump plug, I did it up, but I am a little oncerned that it may come lose. Thanks in advance
  10. When I have been reading through the forum, people have been talking about TORS. What are TORS and what do they do? Sorry about this stupid question
  11. I have just found that my coil went bad on me, but only one of the leads does not fire. It works fine for about 5 minutes then is starts to pop on the left hand cyclinder. So i swaped the leads over and then it started to pop on the right cyclinder. So to cut a long story short I found that if the right hand lead sparked at all it was only a weak spark. But I am only guessing that this is a coil problem, I may be wrong
