doing the frame is a definite possibility except frame has fresh black chrome povwder and i was gonna powdercoat the stuff myself. i dont have the space to build a big oven until i build a workshop in my yard. although that could justify me lightening the frame... hmmm now you got me thinking.

real fuuny jeff. so nobody has any opinions on black full bores with that green hubs,cases etc?

build is coming slowly but surely. my cylinders should ship out today. then in a couple weeks, im either sending my cylinders out for bore,hone and port or ordering my stroker crank. not working so money is tight. i have plenty of time to work on it but no money lol. anyways i really like that granny smith color.

i was thinking black full bores,black chrome frame,granny smith green hubs maybe cases etc and lots of polished and chrome parts. just looking for some feedback. heres a few pics of granny smith green...

today i finished up the stand/rack. i cut the uprights down and wrapped the bottom shelf in carpet and ziptied everything nice. also managed to get all 4 stock crappy tires off the rims. oh and i paid for my cylinders and stuff today. working on my build is getting addictive lol. :headbang

depending how deep the scratch is.. you can use whatever grit it takes to get the scratch out then work up to maybe 1500 grit or higher. maybe fine steel wool. then polish and buff. you can polish plastics just like metal. good luck.

well whatever they call it, i did it lol. supposed to help with fuel atomization. its only halfway done. ill do the top cases when i get my cylinders this week and gasket.

wacko port matching. i didnt do the top yet because i dont have cylinders yet. yes nyuck lives in my town. thats where i bought frame and parts from. hes very convenient but i fear i may pay for his kids college fund if this keeps up. hahaha

so today i built a rolling cart/stand for my build. old adjustable rack system. i put new wheels on it and put it together and added carpet to protect powdercoat. ill probably cover the shelf on the bottom in the same carpet. also portmatched the bottom case.. and finally struggled getting tires off the wheels. got one off im cutting off the rest. just did enough today plus running to lowes etc. these are original shee wheels really beat up big chunks gauges etc... but with a lil elbow grease... still have to polish. sorry for the crappy phone pics. my camera is charging.

haha shes not a honda. shes a ninja! i gotta get those old tires off the rims before i grind/clean and polish them. im tired and its getting late to be makin noise in my garage since my neighbors heard my dremel for hrs today. feels good working on a quad again.

so today did some more cleanup.. still have to polish but smoothed out all the dings,gauges,welds etc and crud. weighs about half what it did when i started. now its on to the wheels.

well maybe not quite yet. lmao i know crappy cell phone pic. i spent a couple hrs today cleaning up the cases i picked up that were nasty. i think i cleaned off about 5lbs of crud. thank god i just bought a good dremel. cylinders coming wednsday woohoo!

thanks. what about everything else? trans parts,clutch parts etc? im not sure which parts are aluminum.

im going to start building my motor from scratch. all new aftermarket parts except cases... if i have a cylinder,crank etc sitting for a few months until its all together.... will i need to worry about rust? basically i want to assemble all my parts first and then powdercoat and polish everything before i assemble. im just unsure. new parts should be ok i hope?

im in the planning stages of a from scratch build. im just trying to pick everyones brain some. id want pump gas only and am considering the vitos 421 cylinders with 4mm long rod. plan on building everything myself so no extra porting or anything. just curious everyones setup and the effects and what made you choose your timing?
