  1. i am looking at getting a swing arm and was thinking about getting an ASR. anyone have one of these? i found them on ebay. they look good but just wanted to know if anyone has one or seen one in person. if not anyone recommend another brand. i am looking at getting a +4 or +6 round style swing arm.
  2. i am just courious about how the +6 affects jumpping. i dont do much jumping i do mostly trail ride and hill climb i am not doubting your guys just want to be informed before i get one i think i am going to order one tonight.
  3. now that i have got my moter running great now i need to get a longer swing arm. i am not sure what brand to get or the lenth. i do want to get a round style carrier so the chain will be easy to adjust. i am thinking about getting a +4 or +6 not sure which one. here is a list of some of my mods. +4 moter built by Fast Racing, T5 pipes, v-force 2 reeds, and noss head will 18cc domes. thanks for your help
  4. i had a +4 long rod moter with an agressive play port. also had the cases ported. while i was waiting on the poter i had the frame power coated, new plastic, almost all new stainless steel bolts, painted every other part of it. i had a long wait for the moter but it was worth it. i 1st call him about doing the moter january 4, i sent him the moter in june got it back in the middle of september the 1st time then got it back the end of september the 2nd time. but he is a great person to deal with. probaly the best customer service i have had.
  5. :biggrin: i have got my moter back from jeff at fast. it has been a long process but good things are worth wating for. the first time i got my moter back it ran lean after about 10 mile and locked up. :: not very good. i call jeff before i tore it apart and was not the happiest guy. he told me to send it back to him and would look at it. even though it running lean was not his fault he had it shipped back in a coupple of days. jeff is a great guy to work with. he does a great job and will spent the time to help you get it put back togther right. the moter runs great and i cant belive the power it has not compaired to what it had before. if anyone out there wants to have a arm pulling moter call jeff. :biggrin:

  9. i know some one posted a while ago on where to get one. i have used the search and did not have any luck. i have looked at jegs thet have them there but i am not sure witch one i need. does anyone konw the lbs. of pressure for the cap?
  10. i want to get all new plastic for mt banshee. i am thinking about get yamaha plastic just because it does not break when i flip. i have seen other 4-wheels with UFO and other brand with plastic that is either broke off or sowed back together. i would like to get a different brand because the factory is expensive but if the other is going to break i dont care to spend the extra.

  14. i am getting my moter built at fast racing right now i am getting a +4 crank with a port job done. i found a set of 30 mm carbs for sale i am not sure of the brand but they said that they are d slide. i thought that Keihin made the d slide carbs but i didnt think that they made a 30 mm and that mikuni made the the 30 mm but not the d slide. i am thinking about getting the so i dont have to buy new intake boots like you do when you buy bigger carbs. alos i have heard that with bigger carb that you loose some of your bottem end. should i get them or not?
  15. i am wanting to get some bigger carbs for my shee. the problem is that i do a lot of ridding thru deep creeks to get to the trails that i ride. i have looked for a kit that will let me get bigger carbs and still use the stock air box with no luck. anyone know where to find a kit or if they even make one.
  16. i have a +4 ported moter. i do mostly woods riding. i need to get a new swing arm, a arms and shocks all around. how long of a swingarm do i need? i was thinking about a +4. what brand do you uys recomend for shocks and a arms and swing arms. i was looking at the roll design. but open to sugestions.
  17. i talked to jeff today. i am going to have him build my moter. there is a little of a wait to get it back. but good things are worth wating for. he took his time and answered all of my questions and i cant wait to do buisness with him.
  18. msr makes a great one called the raptor. you can adjust the leaver to pull like 200 or 300% easier than stock leaver. you can ride all day and your hand will not get tired. you can get one from WWW.rockymountain.com
  19. i need to have my banshee rebuilt. i want to get a big bore to a 421 and a trail port. i have a +4 crank but want to get TZ bearing put on it. i need all parts other than the crank. i tried to use grand river racing. but after 6 phone calls and 3 emails over a 3 week period with no responce i want to have some one else to do it that will acutacly contact customers. i know grand rivers phone said that they well not answer the phone till after 5 and will return you call then. i under stand that but 6 calls with no answer does not sound like good customer service to me.
  20. i have heard that the cub moters are not good for trail riding. that they have no bottom end and that the powerband comes on so strong that they do not make good trail moters. can you set one up for the trails? i already have a +4 crank that has been trued and welded.
  21. my crank is already trued and welded. i think i am going to add tz bearings, noss head, adjustable timing plate, port, big bore to a 421, lock up clutch. what do you guys think. if there is any money left over i am going to get some bigger carbs not sure what size tho. i still have all stock suspension for now. i plan on by summer working on that. i am looking at getting shocks all around, +2 +1 a-arms and a round carrier swing arm. what brand would guys recomend? any thing that you guys would change?
  22. i do mostly trail riding and some drag. i am runing T5 right now. i have all ready got a +4 crank. i am thinking about boring it out to a 420, doing a port job, cool heads, and 34mm carbs. i am thinking about haing grand river racing do the work. does any one have any other ideas that i have not thought about.
  23. it is a hotrod crank. it has been trued and welded. where do you get the bearings that you are talking about? i am thinking about haveing jim do the morter work. i talked to him today. are there any other engine builders that would have a shorter turn around time. he said 9 to 10 weeks to get it back.
  24. i just order a +4 crank and wanted to know what else to do get the most out of it. i do mostly wood riding with some drag. i have about 800 more to spend. i was thinking about a big bore. then i was also thinking about just boring it out .040 and getting a set of carbs. i also want to get a set of noss or cool heads to go with it also. any other ideas that i have not thought of would be great or if you have some of the parts i need for sell let me know.
  25. do you have to use a aftermarket head when changing to a big bore set up? if so what one is best?
