  1. Looks like fun! That's Pikes Peak in Colorado right? I've gone to the rally races there before. That's shit is crazy!
  2. If I were to adjust my timing +4 is there anything else I'd need to do? Like jetting? How much of a difference in power will I notice too? Is it worth the $35? Also is it bad for the motor at all? Meaning will my top end/bottom end go out faster? The more info the better! Thanks!
  3. a year later I finally bought the lights! LOL! I just got them today. I am going to install them this weekend. Did anyone who have them solder the wires like it says to? If you can, let me know the easiest way to install them. Is there a neg/pos wires and how can I tell the difference? They are both black!
  4. I'm going to Gordon's! I'll be camped at Olgilby with my new toy hauler! Leaving tomorrow. ETA: 2100 hours.
  5. One more question. Do I have to drain the coolant in order to pull off the side case. I know the water pump is right there too. Can I just leave it or do I have to drain it and take off the pump??? Almost there thanks guys!
  6. Where is the pressure plate? Do you take off the clutch cover or the whole side case cover on that side? I have a 2004 and when I take off the round clutch cover, there is nothing there!!! Anybody have that problem with that year or newer! How do I adjust my clutch???
  7. 14-41 is what comes stock! If you ride in sand, run a 13-41 or 13-42. You get way more torque and can hit higher gears going up hills!!!
  8. I got a 04 with T-5's, K&N without lid, boost bottle, noss head, 20cc domes, modquad impeller. I don't know what size jets I have in right now because I had a shop do my pipes and K&N. I put the head on and didn't need to change the jets. My question is, if I remove my air box, will I have to go with a bigger jet and if I do what size you think? I have no clue about jetting and have never done it I am at sea level if that helps! HELP ANYBODY???
  9. I used the acorn nuts on mine and had no problems at all. read the directions!!! It says to put RTV sillicone on the threads and then torque! That's axactly what I did and zero leaks!!!
  10. I was just wondering what the best tranny oil and radiator coolant is to use. I have always used Maxima transmission oil 85wt and Maxima coolant. Let me know what you'll prefer and use on your shee!
  11. I went to Gordon's Well on Tuesday just for the day and it was already packed! By the time we left that night, the wash was already full and that was just on Tuesday! I can amagine how packed Glamis is going to be! Everyone be Safe!!!
  12. Okay let me know what you think I should do next. I got about $200 to work with here. These are my options: 1.lighten flywheel, ricky stator timing plate +4 2. 30mm oko carbs 3. Vforce reeds 4. maybe a mild port job which of those will give me more power for the money? Let me know if there is something else I am forgeting within that price range! Thanks! EVERYBODY???
  13. Where can I get my bike ported at? I live in San Diego. I notice you're in OC. Also what stage you recommend for me? I want my bike fast but reliable!
  14. I think I am going to go with the CPW 30mm carbs. Does anyone out there have that set up? Let me know what you think! I have heard that bigger carbs give you a lot more power. I would do a port and polish but don't have the money right now! $$$
  15. I had a question about that too? If I advance my timing, am I going to have to adjust my carbs and rejet? I already run 50/50 race gas!
  16. So you think I should get the 34mm? Is that okay with my stock porting? What if I got reeds before carbs, would I notice a big change with just reeds? Because I know reeds are alot cheaper than carbs are! I want more power, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing it! How much are the carbs anyway?
  17. Got an 04 banshee with T-5's, K&N, NOSS head, 20cc domes. What size carbs should I get? I was thinking 28mm but I am not sure. I want my bike to be faster, but I want it to be reliable too. I ride mostly dunes and a little drag! If I get new carbs, should I get new reeds too? Please help!
  18. So you have a 14 front sprocket with only 12 teeth? You should definetly get a new sprocket. You could throw your chain if you leave that broken one on. If you want more acceleration, than yes get a 13 tooth sprocket. I ride in sand and it helps me out a lot. it gave me alot more torque thru all my gears. The only thing that sucks is when I ride in dirt, I get way too much tire spin! Good luck! ps: that sprocket only cost about $10-$15.
  19. I am going this weekend to Gordon's. Thanksgiving is at home with the Fam!
  20. Just wanted to share the good news to my fellow HQers. My baby girl was born last thursday night at 9:06pm. It feels great to be a daddy! First child! Can't wait to get her on my banshee!!! LOL!
  21. Congrats! Just a warning, that SH*T gets expensive. You will soon come to find out that your shee will never be finished!
  22. Looks just like the YFZ except for the lights! The one thing that I like is the yellow and blue like the old 250r's! When is that bike coming out?
  23. How hard is it to install new timing plate and adjust it right? Thinking about doing mine. I am still learning how to work on my shee so I don't want to modify it too much to where I will start having problems!
  24. I went down to a 13 in the front and noticed a big difference in torque. Before I could only pull 3rd gear up some steep hills and now I can pull 4th easy! Much better in the sand!!!
