I am looking for some carbs, but Whats the Diff. between KEIHIN PJ CARBS, or PWK's??? Is one better?
-
Another question, would it be better to run a 2into 1 carb set up, or leave the dual carb? If dual what would be a good size to go with on the cheetah cub, with stock crank? Also what brand, PWK??
-
What kinda money do you think I can bring from these.. They are STOCK BORE and STOCK PORT, and the pistons are in perfect shape. It was completely running perfect befor I took them off to get coated..
-
1/8th mile drag strip, fast trails, and like to hit the dunes.. I am not all about just drag racing, but I do like to do my fair share of racing.. I am thinking that the cheetah cubs will be the way to go.. I just need to see what carbs will be good for me.. My T-5's have a brand new ceramic coat on them, and look 100% brand new again. I just saw a set go out on ebay just like mine with the same coat for over $600 last night. If I get $450 for mine I will get new pipes for sure..
-
would some 30mm PWK's be a good choice?? I am almost decided just to do the cheetah cub topend. I am thinking I may sell my t-5's and get some rockets.. Any sugestions?
-
Ok carbs aside, if I need them I will buy them, but with what i have and I can buy bigger carbs, do you think Cheetah Cub top end, or P&P with 4 mill? Also I am going to have my crank True and welded. So that and carb swill be done..
-
Now with that said, I have found the cheetah cubs w/ pistons for $1050 shipped to my door.
-
Ok guys let me clear some thing up. My banshee sits stock right now, but here is what I have to put on it.. Toomey T-5's Prodesign ProFlow w/ K&N V-Force III Reeds Reed Spacers Boost Bottle Adj. Timing Plate A lot of people said that I can make my stock carbs work for the P&P w/ 4 mill Crank. I did talk to to shops today that said I would be happier running the cheetah cubs, with what I already have, and I could use the stock carbs jetted right, but I would get more power with bigger carbs, but they only said like a 28mm So I do have some item already here for the banshee, but they are just not on, I am waiting to see what to do with the motor..
-
What kinda power should I be looking at with the cheetah cub topend? Long story short, I will be cheaper to just buy the cheetah top end vs. this guy doing my motor work I think.. I would just really like to hear some opions.. Cheetah cub topend or .20 P&P stock jugs, and 4 mill crank???
-
Ok I have a question for you guys.. My topend is at a shop now waiting on me to call them and tell the to goahead and port and polish it, and maybe send my bottom end to them and have a 4mill crank put it.. Now what I am thinking, will I be happy with a P&P with 4mill crank, and .20 over on the pistons, OR should I leave the botom end as is, and just but the complete Cheeta Cub top end for the stock crank? What will make the most power for the money.

would it be better to paint my springs or have the powder coated?
-
The frame is in the air right now. It looks like I will have to have it painted, it will not fit in this guys oven. How well does powder coat hold up on springs? With the flex and all. Have any of you powder coated the springs? Plastics are blue.. A-arms and swinger are going to be chrome
-
The rear caliper is polished / coated.. I am thinking of sending it back and have the polished part clear coated..
-
Thanks you... That is all powder coated.. The cylinders turned out much nicer than I thought... I will be getting many progress pics. as they come..
-
Also I am going to do my a-arms in chrome, and maybe the swinger to..
-
I really like the idea of white, but I thought the same thing about it looking dirty all the time.. Columbia Coaters has a good looking Mirror White.. I was thinkg about blue also. I just posted some pics of the parts I got back today.. I will post more as soon as I get them back..
-
Well I am starting to get some of my parts back.. Let me know what you think..
-
Ok I have had a lot of parts like hubs, front and rear, sprocket, and rotor hub, reedspacers and a lot of other misc. parts powder coated Transparent blue. My fenders are also blue. No my frame is factory silver, what would be a sick color to do the frame.. I want something wild, and to stand out.. I am thinking of lime green. My wife said to go with yellow? And a friend of mine said to get Mirror Red?? What are some colors that would look good with blue fenders?
-
The guy doing the top end for me said I would prob be good at a 310 main, stock pilotswith toomey needles. Also talked to a guy at toomey and he said pretty close to the same thing. I am at a loss, looks like I will try the stock carbs for now, but I think I will just order from 300-350 mains and got to town on the jetting..
-
Well for the timing I was planing on running +2 or maybe +4 at the most
-
Ok just seeing if you guys can help?? Here is a list of my mods. 2001 Banshee Fresh .20 over pistons Dune/ Trail Port or maybe a drag port toomey t-5's V-force III reeds Prodesign Billet intake w/ K&N Reed spacers Boost Bottle Adjustable Ricky Stator Timing Plate (not sure on what deg. to set it on) Milled stock head (prob. .30) Lightened flywheel. Will my stock carbs do the job? I will get new ones as soon as I can afford them, but I dont want to take a chance screwing up my new motor. When Iam ready to get carbs what is a good set to buy? And what size?

I have had a lot of pm wanting me to hold parts, if some one with money comes along and wants them, I will sell them sorry. I need to get my money back out of this deal.. Plastics, $150 they are complete with Hood grille, front and rear fenders, all uncut and in great condition, just normal surface scratches for a 98. But all in all they look good. -
