  1. The local shop has a set, I would like a little more top end for hill shooting but still have an all around duner, I am really thinking of getting this set. Any experience with these pipe in the dunes would be appreciated. Also , what silencers are you running with the cpi s?
  2. Just got back from buttercup . The weather was a little warm (98) but we still had a good time. The motor d&m built me is broke in and running good. I was a bit surprised at how well my buddy's predator ran with a yosh exhaust , k&n and air box removed, I would get him off the line , then stay dead even all the way up the hill. I was jetted a little rich for the break in though., Anyway I post some pictures as soon as I get them.
  3. After reading this I went to get a 6 pack rack for the old lady's warrior, turns out the local shop had an ac racing one , it also had the tail light mount. I figured piss on it , and got it, fits good and looks good, no complaints. I also have an ac on my 89 banshee that fits good. Oh, yeah , I have used AC aluminum subframes on my KX without a single problem , other than them bending when I high side in 4th gear.
  4. ok so the filter is on the right side just above the shifter correct? thanks for the help guys
  5. Agreed get some paddles if you can, although riding with the stock ones will do on most anything but the steepest dunes.
  6. Is there an oil filter? I have gotten heard yes and no from a couple people. Just wonderin' By the way its all stock execpt for the o'neal aluminum bars and the sand sharks I put on. Only mods I plan are alba exhaust, k&n, jetted, and a 6 pack rack. Its the old lady's quad
  7. I thought about geting her a banshee, but she really does'nt like mine, maybe I'll get her a three wheeler and see how long she can last on that.
  8. I am thinking blaster, warrior or 300 ex maybe, the quad will be for dune use only and I would like to keep the initial price of the quad down in case I have to dump her. What do you think, around here the blasters are about 2000 to 2500, warrior 2500 to 3000.
  9. Ahhhh yes, soulfly, I saw them 2 years ago, my favorite group by the way. They sounded awesome, you know a good group when they sound damn near like the CD, live. Anyway, it would be interesting to see them with their new bassist that came from megadeth. Oh well, I guess you'll see them at memorial hall.
  10. How do people that ride 2 wheelers in sx or mx survive if every time they land the throttle cracks open? It does'nt. I 've ridden mx for 15 years and have ridden with both types, and like anything you just have to get used to it.
  11. mine is the same way, my cooler is damn near touching the silencer tip but it does'nt melt or heat my tecates up too fast
  12. http://www.mytiptemp.com/Product.asp?Param1=TLCSEN&Param2=17 I use them on my banshee and dirt bike, they record a peak temp in a ride or a moto, then you must change them out for a new ones. I see them all over factory kawasaki bikes and I have had good luck using them.
  13. Here they are: http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/169321/ http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/169326/ http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/169311/ Sorry about the size, here is one of my RM250 http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/169336/
  14. Yeah I got them on there, I had to move the run /stop /light switch further in but these things look tits!! I'll get pictures up after work.
  15. Sounds good to me , I give it 100 low lead mixed at 36:1 with 927, I'm sure thats good enough
  16. engineer my ass, go get a degree
  17. A shaved head for higher compression and timing advanced +4? I would'nt think you would need more fuel , just better fuel.
  18. http://www.motosportoutlet.com//s/shop/ite...ts=1&id=5388651 got the red one and got two of these one for the banshee and the other for my rm250
  19. http://www.motosportoutlet.com//s/shop/ite...ts=1&id=5388133 this one here, just ordered
  20. pictures are up at end of topic
  21. Twist is much better on your hand for fatigue, pro motocrossers use them for 20 minute motos riding 100%. I can feel a difference in grip strength on the bars with a twist too(much better)
  22. What kind of difference in revs did you see on the bottom end?
  23. I took my banshee to D and M racing in glendale a little over a month ago, because upon draing the oil there were some aluminum shavings present. They split the cases found a loose shift star and a broken c -clip. The clutch basket was badly worn as was the clutch. The inside of the cases look as if the bottom end had come apart once before as there was some gouging in them. So they fixed the transmission, put a hinson basket with a barnett clutch in, bored it with wisecos, cut the head, lightened the flywheel, advanced the timing, welded and trued the crank, and new seals and bearings. I'm taking it to buttercup this wednesday.
  24. Green scotch brite then mothers, I just did this a couple weeks ago, you need to use scotchbrite to get the melted stuff off.
  25. Wondering what your experiences have been with this place? Seem like pretty good guys.
