I took some sand paper and fine steel wool and sanded them a lil and now it slides up and down great. Will the fact that there sanded cause any problems? I didn't sand them long.

Yeah I was going to go to the store to get new needles I wonder If I can buy a new slide? Is it possible that it could be the carb?

Decided to change the needle clip position. So took it all apart and went to put it back together and slightly bent the needle I also droped my slide about 3 ft on to the ground. So I decided to straighten the needle the best I could. I put it back in the carb and the slide went down but not sure if it went all the way down. I then put the cap on half way and pressed the throttle a few times to see if it was having any problems. I didn't notice any. So I screwed the caps on all the way and checked the throttle again and I couldn't even press it in. It was stuck!!! I then took the carb cap off and wasn't able to pull the slide out. So I took off the air fitlter and stuck a flat head in the intake and pushed up the slide enough so that I could take the throttle cable off the slide. I then removed the carb from the bike and took it in side. I stuck the screwdriver through the carb and pulled on it reall hard to get the slide to pop out. I then took the needle off the slide, cleaned the carb out good and tryed to put the slide with out the needle back in the carb. ( yes the correct way) The slide falls freely until the top of the slide is 1/2" below the carb top and it gets stuck again. If you push hard on the slide it will go the whole way but that cant be right. So what the hell is wrong? Is my slide bent? It looks fine to me. The carb dosen't have any scratchs that I can see to prevent the slide from falling down. NEED HELP!!!

I'm a huge sox fan but I've been silent due to the 2 losses. If we won the first I would have posted minutes after but ....

Look for 04's that are left over. Around here theres a new 04LE for $4,999. I got mine for 6,000 out the door. Since there is no difference of years but a price I would look for a carry over first. JMO

I got fatty's which are pretty much the same thing. I think there great trail pipes. Thats all I ride.

Thats because your tors is removed. Takes me a little longer because it takes me for ever to get that brass clip on to hold the cable there. I cant get my dam fingers in there.

I'm lookin at Holeshot HD's, Razor 2's, and Kenda claws. I need a 6 ply tire,( not sure if the kendas are). What has the best traction, longevity, lightest weight. And any persional experiances. Razor 1's or (what ever) wore way too fast. ALso I am prone to punctures.

I hate Dale JR. Mostly because I am a Gordon fan, but even I think thats bullshit. Nascar is starting to suck. I think they did it because someone earlyer in the year got fined the same for doing the same thing. So they had to fine him to be fair or people would bitch. I'm always worried about snapping the bolts. Typical yama junk metal.

Does anyone have a problem with there chain adjusting bolts comeing loose? Every now and then I manage to lossen the whole chain adjusting system and the rear end flops around. I tighten the shit out of it. I dont wanna use loctite because I adjust kinda often. What do you guys do to stop this?

Sorry I read the times of my edited post it was just a few minutes befor you probably got finished tryping your post. I had originally wrote I was going to try a bigger needle but then edited it to pilot (because I made a typo). But in the mean time you must have been writing about me getting a bigger needle. Sorry bout that but thanks anywhay. At least now I know there are different size needles.

I was going to buy a bigger pilot not a bigger needle. I was going to try and move the clip on the needle again to the 5th pos. Am I missing something here

Glad to see others have brain farts too. To think that I changed main jets, and plugs all summer wondering why it just wasn't as snappy. It was wierd it wasn't boggy enough to make me think there was a real jetting problem but it just wasn't how I thought should be. Thanks for all the help. I'll leave it in the 4th for now but do you think I should try a bigger pilot ( at least for the winter) I ride all year long, 3 degress what ever it don't phase me.

Well Decided to take the carbs apart to move the needle clips to the 5th postion from the blunt end. This is when I relized how stupid I could be. I took the first carb apart and it was at the second position from the blunt end. and the second carb was at the 4th positon from the blunt end. So I put them both to the 4th postion and it pulls like mad now. What really pisses me off is I last changed the clips in april. I rode all summer like this. I am temped to put them both to the 5th position but maybe later.

I clean my filter every ride and I change plugs every couple rides. I'll try the 5th notch on the needle. But it might be in my head
