had same problem if it sticking you have dirty carbs or a knick on you slide or you got water getting in there. Take carbs abart soak them clean them really well . then get some really fine steel wool and sand the hell out of the slides and slide walls they wolln't stick again. Oh and I wouldnt buy new carbs you have no reason to. You could benifite from 28's or 30' wouldn't go much bigger. Single never been a fan of. 33' 35' probably to big and a waste unless you plan on stroking or going bigger at a later date. To be honest stocks are fine. -
there no slouch there a powervalved 250 I believe. Sweet bike Id love to have one.

Suspension hands down. reason being is $$. Spending the dough on suspension was the hardest thing for me. All that cash at once. other then the roughly 3g's in mods for the stroker set up which came much later. Get it out the way while you have it. you can piece the power together when you get money. Its hard to get a grand. but you can spend 30 on a mill, mod your timing plate for free, 100 on kn and clamp, personally Id buy fattys but used you can get them for 300 + or -. Dont be stupid and buy pipes and some minor mods and thing your going to be smoking 450's because the truth is if your getting smoked now you probably wolln't be winning with pipes and a few minor mods. Sorry the truth hurts. Hands down my best mod isn't my engine its my extended axle. Best bang for the buck. Fact is youll probably buy pipes, filter, reeds, timing, and apperently jets are a mod, and it will run like crap like most people who buy this stuff and dont know how to jet. This all will give you a major let down when you race your friends and find out you have nothing but a smoking louder quad that is still losing. JMO. then youll sell your shee get a 4 stroke and bash banshees like the others who dont realize its not the quad its the owner and opperator. sorry its been a long day

they de tuned the 450 motor when they put it in a quad and its at only 45 ish hp. What makes anyone think they will put 80 in a quad. Way to many dumb and bad riders would get hurt. THey would probably end up getting sued. -
I would not try to do it your self you can get a trail port kinda cheep from good builders I would go that route.

your probably right now that I think of it I bought a knock off lookalike for cheep off ebay and I changed a front sproket the same time. -
rich too much fuel for whats getting burnt. the unburnt gets blown out the exhaust. If your happy the way it runs its fine, you will probably be losing a little performance, maybe foul plugs sooner and will need to replace silencer packing sooner.

mine was broke when I bought my shee new I thought they were all that way I guess not. If it dont leak dont touch it. :biggrin:

take off the sprket take out the three bolts for the shift drum cover. I think thats what its called. Dont take it off. Put chain guard on and install new bolts. Put sproket back on and there you go. -
Over heated and 1 cylinder isnt getting hot.

I have been haveing a problem with a sputter when riding. It starts fine, revs in neutral fine. The last time I went riding the problem was a little sputter in the top of the power band which I could not fix by jettin I went up and down. By the end of the day I could bearly hit the gas to get back to my truck and it would die out.. I have done everything I can think of to fix this. I sent my stator back they gave me a new one, I bought a new cdi, and I just put on a new wire harness. Took it out for a spin and sputter at the powerband it will not rev past that. So I thought it was the coil. I took it to two dealers and they both said it is good. What can it be? I dont know what to do, plug chop is good, I used a feeler guage and set the pick up coil. I am lost!!!!!!! I just installed the new harness and it was a little older I guess because the 6 point plug connector for the front by the gas tank doesnt match it has five. It runs but now the run switch doesnt shut off the bike. ( I did have problems with the switch before around when the bike started running like shit) could that be it or is it wired wrong?

This is what I got from them Hi again. Indeed you do have the correct part for your bike. We only give out a range for the timing for all of our CDI Boxes due to different modifications on every bike. It will raise the timing between 1-4 degrees. There can be a chance that your timing will be too increased at different settings with your timing plate. Every bike is different and we do not have the bike here to look at personally and so please just try each setting and find out which works the best with your bike. Also, motorsportz411 is not a verified dealer of ours and so we do not know how long they have had the item in their stock. I bounght a new CDI. One of the many sold on e-bay (procom). God I hope it works. It says it adds a few hp. I assume it does that by increasing the timing. I currenty run at +5 on a adjustible timing plate. What should I set the plate to to get +5 being that the cdi is doing the same thing.

Hot Yellow Stator Wire = Bad Voltage Regulator ?

yellow to yellow. yes stator, red or black to ground. I just made another round connector and bolted it where the other ground is for the wire harness in stock location. ON the other bolt hole for the the stock regulator I got a longer bolt and bolted that new regulator on to the frame there. -

i put on new 200w rs stator on and it smoked 2 new stock voltage regs. with 2 55 watt light, bought a rs voltage regulator and never had a problem since. I dont care what some people say maybe there lucky but a stock one wollnt last. Note that ricky says there reg is for like 250 watt stator. Stock doesnt state that and Im sure it wasnt designed for that. -
