  1. im getting stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC and i never have been there. is there any good riding? what kind of terrain is there? im used to riding in Michigan, and theres some good riding in there but i have not herd much about NC. im gonna be there in about a month as soon and im done with with airborne. I wanna get my banshee send down but i wanna check out the area first. any info. would be appreciated, thanks
  2. When someone in a group asks me how fast my banshee goes and what ever my answer is, someone add's 10 mph and says there quad or there uncles or somthing will go that fast. For examle four wheelers came up as a subject with a group of people i was talking to once, and i mentioned i had a banshee. every one was ooing, and ahing, and asking me how fast it goes. I tell them 80 mph. right after i say that some one in the group tells me that his uncles 4x4 quad will go 90.
  3. My friends and i play about every 2 weeks. i use a tippmann 98 with a few upgrades. I would like to play more but paint costs to much. last week we all were playing with sling shots. That was kinda fun. diddnt go through hardly any paint and it makes for an intersting experence as long as everyone is using one and not a paintball gun. had a good time untill the cord broke on mine. anyone else try with sling shots?
  4. never acually broke anything forntually. I have been riding moterized toys sence i was 5 or 6 and have had plenty of close calls but nothing ever broke. I had a few close calls with my ankles so i bought riding boots and i have spraned my rist a few times. i even was involved in an acdent that broke the other guys rist but i have been lucky.
  5. do you have it set for soft or hard pack? last season i ran them for hard pack this spring im trying them swiched around
  6. I plan on buying a set of FMF Fatty's soon and decided I need a silencer that is forestry approved so i can ride at silver lake and such. My choices for silerncers with spark arresters are the FMF Turbine core II or the FMF Q. The Q is about 20$ more and i am going to assume its quieter than the turbine core but i dont care as long as they let me in the dunes and the parks. Will there be a performace differnce between the Q and the Turbine core? 20$ isnt a large sum of money so thats not my concern i just want a forrestry approved silencer that wont hinder my performance much if at all. thanks.
  7. The Kenda Klaws are what i use and they work good for varous conditions. I think the bull dog is the older version of the Klaw. I think they just softened up the rubber and gave it a new name.
  8. its about 30 in norhtern Michigan, wish it was warmer still to much snow for to much riding with the banshee, its melting like crazy though
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2463301133 how much do you guys think theses are worth?, they looked good to me but I wasnt sure on buying a used set or not, but if i could save money it would be nice but i dont want to buy junk, do they look good and have any of you dealt with them before?
  10. I was planning on buying a new set of FMF fatty's here shortly but am not sure on the silencer. I really dont want to buy the turbinecore 2 or the Q silencers because it costs alot more money than the Power core2 silencers. I dont need the Forestry approved ones where I live but I would like to make a few trips down to Silver Lake this year and I heard I needed the spark arrestor silencers to get in. Is this true? Am I doomed to pay an extra 100$ just so i can get into Silver Lake a few times? Your input would be appreciated
  11. I live near a little norhthern michigan town called Boyne Falls. About the only reason anyone might have even hear of it is beacause of a resort in it called Boyne Mountan.
  12. im up to the the ripe old age of-- 17. Gonna be 18 in about a month
  13. If its a small one you can buy these little dent removers (small kind if suction thing), i dont rember the name of any of them but i have seen them atvertised but i dont know if they well work or not. You would have to a little bit of searching for it. I used the dent removers that the body shops use (or at least used to use) once, barrowed it from a reletive that runs a shop.
  14. i have a Garman Etrex that i have had for about 2 years. i like to use it alot but its kinda hard to use on the banshee seeing as i have no way of looking at it while i ride so i haveto stop everynow and then to take a look. i use it to check my top speed on a few toys, its pretty handy for that. Its nice to have because when i take it with me i dont worry about getting lost in the back over grown trails that i like to explore every now and then.
  15. i have a part time job working at a resort and go to school, that takes up most of my time but i also snowmobile, go fishing, hunting, play computer games and paintball
  16. I work for a resort Driving around a laundry truck, picking up and droping off stuff such as laundry, they also have me cleaning and doing the chemicals on the pools that are there. I do that part time seeeing as Im still a high school student (my last year) but i do school to work, which means i leave school early every day to go to work.
  17. Sounds like an experence i had about 2 years back, but i was driving a dune buggy (before i got my banshee) on a trail and the other guy was on some duel sport type dirt bike. Was on a narrow, twisty trail and he took the corner to sharp and was on my side of the trail and we had a nice head on collision. The bike flipped over the roll cage and he flew in to the air and landed beside me, breaking his rist. My mom gave the guy a ride to the hospitle and my dad and i took the totaled bike back to where the guy and his group was camped at ( they were from outta state going for a big ride). not a good situation. apperntally and at one point he was thinking about sueing us but nothing came of it fourtnatally, i dont think he would have had a case anyways.
  18. well i have never lost in a drag with my banshee but its not because its the best build machine or anything, i just dont have any compition where i live. i think the fastest quad next to mine would be a freind of mines blaster and all that thing has is new pipes i think. Everyone else eather has utility quads or little dirt bikes.
  19. Tippmann 98 custom with Flat line barrel, expanion chamber and remote kit. Anyone else use a Flat line? I kinda have mixed feelings about mine, i hardly use it
  20. what he sayed. to much snow any you end up getting stuck although its not to hard to get it unstuck normally. But the other day we got a few inches of snow and i took the shee out and i was having a good ol' time untill i stumbled across a trail that was being logged so i figured i'd turn around. well i get off the trail to do a turn around and all of the sudden as im driving across some snow im suddnly baried up the the top of my tires in mud... i coundt pull my self out so sone of the loggers used her trackor to yank me out . anyways the snow had covered up a nice big mudhole so i wasnt going to fast when i got into it. so it can but fun but the snow can cover up somethings that you normally might like to know is there
  21. Ski-doo (bombardier) is the best hands down. They have the best chassis ( best center of gravity and lightest) and the most powerfull engines in there class. Also now some of them (the 600 and 800) have semi direct fuel injection wich gives them better fuel economy. They are the only 2 strokes that meet the 2006 emmission regulations in the snowmobile market i belive, and they still are the fastest in there class.
  22. Im always willing to sacrifice comfert for speed
