thegroup Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 last nigh my mom calls me and asked if i had talked to dad. i hadnt and she told me that the '79 Ford F-250 with a flatbed burned up in a fire. i was like "WHAT! Is dad alright!" she told me that he was about 100yrds from where he was cuting wood and as he was driving down the road to head home the truck started smoking thur the heater box. by the time he got stop and out of the truck, flames were coming out of the hood and the rest is history. thank god he got out before it was too late  i havent seen the truck yet but dad told me that all that is left is the flatbed, the load of wood :yelrotflmao: (kindof funny i thought for as bad as the whole deal is), possiblly the frame and suspension. he also thinks that it was elelctrical, melted a fuel line and the fire took off. ill get some pics of it once we get it home today Quote
thegroup Posted October 31, 2006 Author Report Posted October 31, 2006 well, heres the pics. its not as bad as i had originally thought. the inside of the cab is a total lose and the motor is possiblilly salvagable. the underside of the truck look good so thats a plus. both dad and i think the fire started at or near the heater box in the enigne bay. the time elapse of all this happening was aboout 5 min of so i think. dad said it got real hot real quick i have a few more, but im having problems getting them to load up in photobucket Quote

LiftdT4R Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I've always had Fords for as long as I can remember. My dad swears by them even though they give us soo many problems. But I bet you didn't know that 98% of all Fords ever built are still on the road? The other 2% made it home!! Quote
