kdslammer
My bike is ~20 years old with OEM carbs and I'm ready to put some better quality carbs on it. i have read many posts on here with many different opinions, so I was hoping that after I made a profile with my bike info listed, that I could get some concise direction from the pros. I've been riding for many years and had several banshees with varying mods, but never replaced the OEM carbs on any of them, since my mods have never been more than moderate. if the stockers are the best for me to stick with and replace, that is fine too, as I am truly just looking for advice before trying something stupid and wasting a ton of time in jetting/tuning. I trail and open field ride mostly, and live near Charleston, SC which is below sea level and ambient temperatures range from ~90-110 F during the summer with a very high humidity year round. current setup: 2000 YFZ350 OEM carbs (200 main jets) TORS Removed *my jetting is a touch off right now due to the .40 bore install (waiting on new jets to arrive this week) FMF Fatty's & TC2 silencers NOSS head w/ NOSS 21cc domes Vito's one-piece inlet manifold .40 bore (Weisco) NGK BR8EXI plugs RM Stator 200w, RM Coil, RM Adjustable Timing plate (OEM timing curve) *electrical system stripped down to basic demands + lights .50 caliber CDI box *** i use 32:1 ethanol free pump gas only high flow water pump
