Wallrat
Assuming you do all the prep work yourself and just drop off the sandblasted frame at the powdercoating place, what can you expect to pay? Also what about the swingarm?
raxen
My cuz did a double layer powdercoat for my project shee. Chrome powder on the bottom with a light yellow powder tint on top. It is pretty trick and it only cost 300 and he did all of the prep (taking misc. pieces off of frame, sandblasting, etc) work for me. I will ask him what he would charge tonight when I see him. TheNewGuy
personally i'd just let them do the work...you cant use silica sand if you sandblast it yourself because it has a bad reaction to the powdercoat...even if you do prep it they'll have to clean the surface anyways and then they'll charge you for it....less work for ou and the same price.... hope this helps Mike
95badbanshee
I have a friend who powdercoats for a living, and he says to not sandblast it, but remove everything. If you do this they can prep it, and coat it right. He quoted me and did a friends raptor for 200. You cant beat powdercoat, it won't flake off, and if it chips, it does't grow.
