Linder, 21, Topeka, Kan., is charged with one count of passing 28 counterfeit $100 bills; one count of passing 36 counterfeit $50 bills and seven counterfeit $100 bills; and one count of passing 12 counterfeit $20 bills, 20 counterfeit $50 bills and four counterfeit $100 bills. The crimes are alleged to have occurred Jan. 6, 7 and 9 of this year in Shawnee County, Kan. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $250,000 on each count. The U.S. Secret Service investigated.
