My Banshee (optional)

  1. Hi there Well Im willing to buy a hole new back for my Shee including a roundhouse swingarm with carrier, rear axle with hubs because the stock carrier and swingarm is driving me nuts! lol For the axle I was thinking a RPM Dominator II but which rear hubs should i buy? Durablue ? LSR ? For the roundhouse swingarm whats the best in the business nowadays? Houser ? LSR ? Walsh? I usually ride on fast trails with some jumps Thanks!!
  2. I installed my Alba’s and everything went smooth. But when it came time to mess with the camber I ran into a slight problem. I noticed that once I got the wheels set up perfect that my left upper ball joint is screwed out farther than my right side. I’ve taken measurements and everything lines up perfect with the other side. I’m stumped. Any help would be appreciated!
  3. I run 50/50 racefuel in my banshee and want to change to Klotz. What Klotz do I run Klotz r50 or that super techniplate stuff?

  5. I have a 03 banshee with t3s on it air box mod, tors delete and im 335 elevation and usually ride in 60-90 degree weather. still has stock jets and i need to know what size jets i should use. THank you
  6. Hi, I’m new here since I just barely acquired my first banshee. I think I got a great deal on it and can’t wait to get it going. The only problem is it’s missing the bottom end of the engine. This meaning the cases, crank, stator, covers, trans, clutch, etc. I have had no luck finding just a bottom end. Wondering if any of you have one that you’ll sell me. Doesn’t matter if it needs a new crank or not. The 98 banshee came with Toomey T5 pipes which are quite rusty; but im going to try to bring the shine back, v force reeds, boost bottle, brand new WSM std size pistons, and tors delete kit. Not sure if the cylinders just need a hone. Here’s some pictures. Thanks!
  7. Hey guys, i know its been talked about 4 million times... BUT.... I need a little help with jetting on my banshee i just bought. Mods: Bored .003 over CPI small bore in frame pipes Keihin PWK 28mm carbs Noss Machine cool head with 18cc domes K&N pods Trinity dune port Boyesen Dual stage reeds I've never ran the pwk on any of my other banshees before or CPI pipes. I ride at about 4000 feet above sea level. Any input on where the jetting and needles should be set to get me close would be great. thanks
  8. Hey everyone! It has been a while, starting a company is a lot of work. I am back and need your expertise. Back in December I posted a thread called "How Do I Fix This?" Basically I accidentally got a stroker rod and my pistons are sticking out of the cylinder 5mm at top dead center. So a user told me to get Wiseco 795 series pistons and that will solve this problem. My next question is; do I need a spacer for this build? I read around a bit and I am getting mixed reviews. I really appreciate you guys and all of your help! I reply fast, so if you have any questions, ask away!
  9. If any of you are bored go check out my youtube channel and watch the banshee videos I post. www.youtube.com/jokuratkinson

Can't upload pics too big I guess can email some though or text. -Josh
  11. According to fullbores facebook page less than an hour ago they announced they are selling plastics again for the banshee!
  12. On my 04 Banshee (with a 7mm stroker) What would be the "safe zone" for rpm's (where I shouldn't go below or above), what would be the absolute max rpm's I could hit (safely and unsafely), and, at about what rpm's would I start and end powerband? Remember, it has a 7mm stroker kit. Thank you for your help.
  13. I can see that they carry three different axles for the banshee, but I’m not quite sure what the complete differences are. They have a Drag, Hillshooter, and Play axle. What are the differences and which one would I get to possibly do all three since I enjoy dunning as well as hill-shooting. As much detail will be much appreciated.

  16. hey everyone, Im new to this site and i was wondering is somebody out there has some usefull info for me. last year i bought a banshee from a friend that had major gear box problems for very cheap. The motor ran strong tho... started first or second kick every time. Instead of ripping the engine apart and fixing the bad gears in the trans, i decided to buy an engine off of a reputable seller on ebay. as soon as i got it, i slapped it right in. went to start it, and she didnt want to go. hit it with some starter fluid and it started but ran really rough and wouldnt hold an idle. after a little bit it died and wouldnt start again. took the plugs out and no spark. i replaced the stator, wiring harness (OEM one was hacked to peices), flywheel, woodruff key, kill switch cluster, BR8ES plugs, ignition coil, key delete (twisted the white and red wires), One of the connectors that was coming out of the CDI had been melted (housed the orange ignition wire) i was able to check all of my new parts except the CDI. i bought a cheap $60 one off ebay (probaly not the right choice). Not sure if they sold me a junk CDI or im missing something here. oh and TORS had been deleted since i got it. deleted off carbs and no black box on the frame. i believe the voltage regulator had nothing to do with ignition so i left that alone. If anyone can provide me with any info that would be great! -wrxguy97
  17. I run 50/50 racefuel with Yamahalube but changing to Klotz. What's the difference between the Klotz r50 and the super techniplate? What should i run?
  18. So I have a slight leak on my bike coming from my clutch cover gasket. I have a big weekend ahead of me of riding and will just fill up as it gets low( drips probably 10 drops at the max when parked) I'm wondering if I can just look threw my lockup clutch cover and tell my tranny level threw that? Or do I need to look at my dipstick? I know where it should sit by looking at the lockup cover so will just fill up when it gets past that point. Sorry if that didn't make any sense I can try and clarify if need be.
  19. Hello Everyone! This topic has been driving me crazy! The local Yamaha dealer parts department says that the Banshees already have a rectifier to transform the voltage from 12v AC to 12v DC - which means that the stock headlights are fed 12v DC. But then I see multiple articles stating that the lights receive 12v AC. Which one is it? AC or DC? I purchased an LED bar (72watt / 12 inch) and need to determine if I need to add a rectifier before the lights to convert 12v AC to 12v DC??? Or if I simply can plug and play w/o any conversion (if stock wiring does in fact provide 12v DC). Anyone have proof? Even experiences with LED installation on banshees would be helpful & appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Currently rebuilding the motor and was curious I saw a deal for a J arm frame with absolutely everything including tires, exhaust, everything but a motor and plastics. Can I swap my 2003 motor into a J Arm frame with no issues? Any info would be appreciated I believe it's an 88 frame.
