I just had someone put new pistons on it like 3 weeks ago . Compression should be fine

So I have a banshee bore to 370 66mm pistons , cool heads 34 carbs CPI big pipes Cylinders are ported . Yesterday I was racing w a friend in the sand . We both had paddles . He had a banshee aswell but he 65.5 mm pistons . Other than that he was stock . But he was taking off better than me and he was winning me in 300 ft race . We were both taking off in 2nd gear . Why does his banshee seem to have more power and better response if my banshee has mods that are suppose to make It faster ? Maybe jetting ? Idk . FYI I’m new to banshees . This is literally my first banshee and I got it Like that .
