  1. Hello Brian. I appreciate your message. And I too am a very honest person and have absolutely no reason to lie. As you well know I am not an experienced mechanic, the captain was gracious enough to point this fact out to me again. I never found the jet kit that you told me was there. I didn’t see any point in pursuing the matter, assuming you would simply tell me that I was wrong a second time. I only discovered the clutch problem when I did because like millions of other people my businesses have been shut down. I have a ton of free time on my hands right now. So we finally got the engine installed. We being a friend of mine who is also out of work who is an experienced mechanic. Clearly a Greenhorn like me needed help. While breaking in the new engine, the clutch was slipping like crazy. So naturally we tried adjusting it. This did not work , I started making inquiries on the Banshee forum trying to find the answer to the issue. My friend and I took the clutch out and it was an old clutch in very poor condition ,none of the components were new. I have been confused with these issues because as I previously stated multiple times ,you have been very helpful on the phone in the past. So naturally I couldn’t figure out why or how this could’ve happened. If we could somehow find a way to make this right it would be greatly appreciated. I will give you a call tomorrow afternoon to discuss the matter further. PS. The engine is very fast and has ran perfectly. Talk with you tomorrow.
  2. I found it hard to believe also. But I have a worn out stock banshee clutch and factory springs that were in my machine to prove it. To reiterate what I have already said. I spoke with Brian on the phone numerous times. He sounded like a very nice, honest guy. Definitely not someone who would intentionally rip somebody off. As I previously stated I have ran my own business ( multiple businesses ) almost my entire adult life. These businesses rely exclusively on reputation and customer service. I only deal with people who seem honest. It is possible for honest people to make mistakes or for other employees to make mistakes. But everything I have stated is absolutely true. I was never going to mention the person who did the build. The only reason it came up is because you asked for his name.
  3. I spoke to Brian a number of times on the phone. He sounded like a very nice guy. I have run my own business for over 15 years, so I know how employees can be sometimes. It is possible he had very little to do with my engine build and one of his employees kept my parts. I do understand this of course.
  4. Brian Eoff did the build for me. I shipped the new build plus the old engine to him. The agreement was that the engine would be ready to bolt on and ride when I got it back. Only someone who’s never built a motor before would fall for that right ( me ). I was a little unhappy when I saw he had kept the jet kit that came with the build. So I messaged him asking where it was, he assured me that I was wrong and the Jets were there as promised. I opened up the 35 mm carbs and as expected they were empty, no Jets no needle. now I find out the new clutch that came with the build is also missing. I feel pretty stupid. Even more stupid than calling the lock up clutch lock out LOL.
  5. I have all the pieces in correctly. The new driveline clutch is working well. But it needs adjusting. I have very little room left on the adjuster screw. I wasn't sure if this a common problem or not. I just ordered this off eBay NEW YAMAHA Banshee Clutch Pusher Pancake Bearing Push Rod & Ball . I know parts wear out & this banshee is 20 years old. The guy I bought it form really beat on it. I have 4 hours on the new clutch, I know it will break in & need a little more adjusting. This is my concern with having such little room left in the adjuster screw.
  6. Hello banshee friends. there's no more adjustment on my push rod , I have a brand new clutch. It's working but will soon run out of adjustment ???????
  7. Ok guys , I installed a new driveline clutch yesterday. Just test drove it today. That did the trick. This thing is bad to the bone. Thanks again for the tips. Primary lesson learned is this, never let anybody else build your shit. The reason the clutch was slipping in the first place was because the guy who built the engine for me left the old clutch in. Not kidding ! This dude kept the new BP HD clutch and left the old POS in it.
  8. thanks for the tips and correction guys. Lock - up not lock out. I’m a little green so some ball busting is in order. I appreciate your help with this.
  9. I was just looking at driveline, they look really good. I'd rather not spend all that money on a lockout system ( clutch cover & all ) if I don't have to.
  10. The bp build came with an HD clutch kit. The springs ,basket & gears are stock. I had a little help putting some of the kit together. Maybe I put the power bands in wrong ah captain ?
  11. It will rev excessively with every power band, But not really takeoff. this thing should be pretty scary to ride compared to a stock Banshee. But it’s really not scary at all. It sounds mean as shit, Very Crisp ! Even on the street with dry pavement it’s not pulling hard enough to pop the front end up. 6th gear is the only one they really rips ass but it takes at least 3 seconds before it does so.
  12. i’ll describe what it’s doing the best I can. Staying out of the power band you don’t really notice it. I was breaking in the new engine a few days ago being easy on it . After about an hour I took it down the road and got on it a little bit. Engine was revving excessively but not taking off like it should. Like all the gears were flat. The second day I took it out I took it down the road again. Not so gently this time. This thing should’ve been pulling the front wheels off the ground but wasn’t even coming close. In Sixth gear it’s revving excessively But not getting much power to the ground. Then gradually engine sounds like it’s Grabbing and lots power ,it takes off like a bat out of hell and I’m past 80 Mph before I know it. So the clutch started to grab ( I think ) A friend of mine who has a lot more mechanical experience than I do road it once, he explained the issue almost immediately. He said my clutch was slipping like a mother. I don’t know what else it could be
  13. Hello Banshee friends. I’ve built a 421 Banshee from a Bp kit off eBay. It’s an 01 and was totally beat by its previous owner. I’ve spent the last Year restoring it. The engine runs very strong but the clutch is slipping like crazy with every power band. People keep suggesting a lock out clutch system. This is my first Banshee build so I’m a little lost on this subject. Any advice would be much appreciated.
